Please prune this show

Why are Disney hiring people who have absolutely no idea of what Star Wars is and impose their story to us that's completely contradictory to the existing Star Wars stories and lores?

Do they even watch Star Wars?

And what's worse is wookiepedia is changing stuff as the show airs.

Please don't ever hire those people to make anything star wars ever again.

This is not a star wars show.

Please prune this show from the Star Wars timeline.

very bad writing
30 April 2024
I walked into this flick not knowing what the buzz was or what folks thought of it. Gave it a shot for about an hour, on and off, but damn, it was a struggle to keep up. Characters were all over the place, acting out in ways that just didn't make sense.

Found a few bits that caught my eye, though. Lead actress getting those future vibes? That was kinda cool.

But then it took a nosedive. Characters pulling off stunts that had me rolling my eyes, and the places they ended up? Felt like they were being dragged there.

Felt bad for the actors, man. Doing their best with what they had, but the script was just flat. Dialogue? Meh. Did the job, but nothing to write home about.

Got this itch to bail, but with all the flashy effects, I stuck around. Big-budget feel, you know? But damn, it didn't save the sinking ship.

Checked the IMDb rating - a measly 3.8 out of 10. Tells you all you need to know, really.

So, I hit fast-forward, hoping for some redeeming moments. Got to the end, and all I could think was, "Two hours wasted."

Straight up? Save yourself the trouble, skip this one. Plenty of other flicks out there worth your time.

Why comedy?
28 January 2023
The Sniper series has always been serious military action thrillers. Why turn it into this action comedy stuff? The fights look fake and cartoonish. If this is intended to be an action comedy, it is indeed done like an action comedy, done right. But it doesn't feel like the Sniper series.

I'm not against comedy but imagine if you're watching the Bourne trilogy, and suddenly you see a sequel with all the same actors and you make a Saturday Night Live episode. It completely takes the tone out of it. Is this a comedy spin-off?

I mean, if you want it to be an action comedy, do another action comedy with these actors, but don't tamper with the Sniper series. This feels like an out-of-season parody with actors from the Sniper series.

Black Adam (2022)

Disappointing
19 November 2022
The plot is very predictable. As soon as the guys came out, you know who's the bad guy and what's going to happen. He's eventually going to get that crown and our hero is going to beat him. This might sound like a spoiler but when you watch the movie, you already know what's going to happen next and it's exactly what you think would happen. The acting is awkward. Many lines were forced. The camera work isn't quite there yet. In that I mean there is a shot where the hawk guy says we need Adam to do it, but then he's already gone, and before the audience can react to it the movie already cut to the next scene with loud music and action sequences. It lacks clarity in telling you what's going on. And what's up with all the zombies? They like making zombie movie? Well this feels like a B-movie quality plot. I can't believe they even made this movie this bad. The music in itself is okay but the way they pair it with the visuals just make everything a noise rather than a piece to enjoy.

My palms and feet were sweating the whole time just watching this movie. I think I lost 10 pound of water.

Alan Ritchson nailed it
5 February 2022
He's that big muscular guy. Yeah. But when he talks, he gives me the Clint Eastwood feeling. This is Jack Reacher but Alan Ritchson brought something extra to it. It's as if I'm watching a modern day Dirty Harry or the lone blonde gunslinger.

Great job! Well done!

Warning: Spoilers
Why don't they both go to town?

They have the sat phone. They can write the the coordinates. Cover it up. It's better off they leave it that way and no one will notice and come back together.

Bad movie
10 September 2021
Another movie designed to make money off of investors, brought to you by none other than China Lion, known for laundering horrible Chinese content to America and make money off of nothing. Horrible story, budget cast and crew, mediocre production. +1 point for the effort of out-sourced animators. Overall 2/10. Avoid.

deserves an Emmy
2 November 2020
I'm really surprised at how good this show is. The details and richness of character. The directing, the acting, the story. Everything is so perfect it tells the story of a child prodigy's journey to the world's chess championship in a way that even audience with no knowledge can understand. And what really impressed me was how it brings out the emotion of the character and how it presents it. The like of which, I can only compare it to Cinema Paradiso. The director must have been a fan of Tornatore's classic and I think the way he made this film is on par with the classic. This 7-episode series on Netflix deserves an Emmy win.

A step down from the previous movie
19 September 2020
I love the first movie. Low budget, but great movie. But this one, at first I thought there's something new because this time, instead of going down a shark tank, they went diving into an underground archeology site. But then as the story unfolds, the challenges and obstacles they face are predictable, and the shark attacks are really getting repetitive as if whenever you run out of ideas, hey let's have a shark attack. How can you have them trying to swim through a tunnel, many times, with sharks trying to snatch them from behind, multiple times, and even the camera angles and shark animations look exactly the same. It gets boring after half way through because there's almost nothing new. And I kept asking myself, is this over yet? Well, after 90min, it finally ended.

This one deserves an Oscar nod
17 September 2020
Everything was done to perfection - craft, acting, camera, pacing. It just slowly draws you in. And as it goes on, you can see characters eventually cross path. The first half shows a world full of evil, and in the second half, as the boy sets everything right. What an astounding watch. Very unique and powerful film. This one deserves an Oscar nod, if it can survive the political sphere of Hollywood.

Nolan has once again proved to us that he's the #1 director in the world
6 September 2020
No spoilers.

From the beginning to about 1/3 of the movie, everything looks very Nolan style, but a little bit more free and casual in terms of camera and editing. And I thought, ok, so what's so special?

Then the middle third absolutely blew my mind away. How the hell did he come up with this idea and executed to such perfection?

And then when I made it to the end of the movie, it was done in such perfection. Nolan has once again proved that he's the number one director in the world.

No one else can come up with such an original idea, weave such a convoluted movie so full of character depth, and execute everything to such perfection.

2020 is the year we learned that Christopher Nolan and Elon Musk are both from another planet.

Disappointed
22 February 2020
I got to the second episode, having already fallen asleep twice. Really couldn't go on any more. These characters, I have no idea why they are still there doing the things they're doing.

I started asking way more questions than actually enjoying this game. Locked in a room with a killer spider robot, why? Hunting down an L-1 (psychic person), why? Who are these other characters in command? The writings are just horrible. They did a terrible job setting things up.

And by now, I'm getting the impression that this film got made only because it's based on George RR Martin's novella. And they used GRRM's name to get the funds, that's all they wanted to do. Making money off production budget. they don't care if this is horrible. The producers who came up with this should be blacklisted by audience.

Deserves an Oscar nod
20 March 2019
This is a wonderful film. Superb acting and directing by Clint Eastwood about a real life story. It's not just about drug trafficking but also about family. It deserves an Oscar nod. It should easily get Best picture, Best director and Best actor nomination. Don't know why this was missed out by the Academy.

Mindblowing Perspective!
14 September 2012
Just saw this film. I have to say it's underrated! I gave it 7/10. The craft is refined. Performance good. Story good. Not just good, but brings some interesting mindblowing perspectives.

Before this film I have no idea of the dating war, the girl's group in put in a modern day Hollywood setting. This film just pieces them together in a decently crafted way (in terms of cuts and timing of music)

The camera are placed to the right places. The lighting about right. It works okay. The script the dialogue the performance is great.

I would've given it an 8/10 but the ending kinda falls a bit hasty with the voice over explanation to the end and too fast to the credit. I guess if the ending can elaborate more and develop more on itself and the subject matter it'll be a better film.

So overall 7/10

This film is way underrated. It's a masterpiece in many aspects!
22 March 2012
I saw the trailer, meh... then I saw the 10min footage. I realized this film is much more than what this trailer is showing me and I have to go see it. Then I told my friends I'm gonna go see it. They said don't see it. I said why? They said, there's bad review. I asked them did you see it? None of them said they did. I said the footage looked really good, so... ...I went to the theater. ...AND... This film is soooo good some of the scenes even made me cry. The director/writer truly understand story and what touches the audience's hart. All I can say is it has a stunningly beautiful story!!!! It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than avatar! Not a lot of manufactored 3D junk movies have stories. And this one does! It's a rare film a masterpiece. Such a great film that I haven't seen for a long time!!! Go watch it! Don't listen to the non-sense reviews!

Also make a different trailer! Don't show the bombing CGI scenes; put in the artistic storytelling scenes instead. Because the stronghold of this movie is not CGI but story. All the CGI (which is also fantastic) works for the purpose of the story.

I'll be losing my hope on the sanity of the American audience if this movie flops because it's such a great film I haven't seen in a LONG TIME, since INCEPTION of 2010!!!!

The design is fantastically apt to the film. The effect is as good as Avatar. The story is way better than Avatar. There are moments that made me cry in the theater. Director/Writer really know how to write good scenes and good plots and cut them together for the best cinematic experience that touches audience. The pacing is very good. A very well- done take of John Carter. But only a score of 7ish? and only 180M box office up till I wrote this review out of a budget of 250M? Many other 3D junk movies did better. This 3D movie has a truly marvellous story and a world view and cinematic story telling that touches and deserve a much better rating and much better receive.

In my opinion this film deserves a rating around 8.5 and more. And should get more than 500M in box office.
