different from Volume 1 but alright
8 August 2004
I had mixed reactions to Kill Bill Volume 1 but my reaction to Kill Bill Volume 2 is a great second part of this epic.

I can't give away the details in this movie but after watching this, this is an alright movie. The scenes were done nicely and the violence were done in a realistic matter this time.

I do like both volumes of Kill Bill because both volumes were done in a spectacular way.

If you like Kill Bill volume 1, go see Kill Bill volume 2 because even though volume 2 is different but it still has its style just like the first volume!

Masterpiece Epic!
5 May 2004
This film or should I say epic is a masterpiece. It's about a civil war captain that travelled to Japan to help its army fight the samurai but end up fighting for their cause but you'll understand when you watch the movie. The performances of Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe were alright, the storyline was great and as for the samurai violence? is was realistic instead of blood spraying ten feet in the air and the battle scenes is quite realistic too.

This film is stylish and serious not stylish and brutal but if you are absoultely 110 percent curious about watching this film, by any means necessary feed it and you'll thank yourself later!!!

Amazing but Brutal
14 April 2004
I have mixed reactions to this film. The story lines and the writing are excellent, the performances of Uma Thurman, Vivica A. Fox and Lucy Liu are alright. I liked Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and this film but can people bleed like that having their limbs/heads chopped off? Maybe he's referring to Old school samurai films? I Don't know. but I do know this film a completely different film than Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ because of its violent tone but overall Kill Bill Volume 1 is amazing but brutal. I can't wait to see volume 2.

In the end in my humble opinion is that Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 (which I will see volume 2) is ten times better than the Joel Silver produced and Wachowski Brothers written and directed sequels The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions any day, any night, any time, forever!!!

Powerful!
1 March 2004
I liked this movie and a realistic portrayal of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ instead of sugar coating the violent nature that I saw Jesus Christ related movies when I was in Catholic High School. Why? because the sheer graphic brutality/torture really happened that way back then.

Jim Cavizel portrays Jesus perfectly and both performances of Maia Morgenstern as Mary (Jesus' Mom) and italian actress Monica Bellucci as Mary Magalene were stunning.

As for the anti-semitism references, I didn't see it that way. The way I saw the movie is that Jesus died for all people of every ethnicity and every types of religion, watch the film before you decide!

Irreversible (2002)
to the extreme
17 February 2004
When I saw this movie, I was completely blown away due to the extreme and realistic nature of this french film. The film is done in a memento nature meaning the scenes is in reverse. Monica Bellucci's performance as Alex is great especially when I feel very sorry and helpless for Alex being attacked like that and it could happen in Paris or anywhere in North America.

If you figure out this film, it's about two people in Paris madly in love and then things starts to fall apart and Marcus (played by Monica's husband Vincent Cassel) wants revenge.

If you want to watch this film, you got to be one hundred and forty percent ready to watch this film because it's not like Joe Carnahan's Narc!

Scarface (1983)
A great film!
3 October 2003
When I saw the movie for the first time, I had a head trip for both of the graphic violent themes and a great story in the film. The part that got me the most is a refugee from Cuba started this drug empire and then starts falling apart in the end. Al Pacino playing Tony Montana is bad and brilliant at the same time. If it wasn't for a great violent mafia movie like scarface, filmmakers will still struggle to push the envelope.

A beautiful Hong Kong action flick
22 September 2003
This movie is a beautiful HK action flick because of the visuals in this movie and a lot of gunplay. I never seen a hitman vs. hitman movie before and the violent theme of the film is stylish and aggressive at the same time. Please, watch this movie :)

A Man Apart (2003)
It's Narc meets XXX
9 September 2003
This movie is alright for a gritty action film because it reminds me of the grittiness of Narc with the action sequences of XXX. The acting of Vin Diesel as a DEA agent is going out for revenge after his wife was murdered is good and alright and the acting Larenz Tate as his partner is alright as well.

Overall, I find this movie a good gritty action flick to entertain yourself any time.

Narc (2002)
A realistic crime movie!
10 August 2003
When I saw this movie, I was shocked due to the realism in this movie especially in the beginning when a expectant mother was shot and the cops where graphically descripting the event. The rest of the movie goes into the worst areas of Detroit to solve a mystery of Henry Oak's partner's murder and he wants revenge and teamed up with Nick Tellis. The performances of Ray Liotta as a rogue cop is amazing and Jason Patric performance is also amazing and writing and directing of Joe Carnahan made this crime movie 100% realistic from beginning to end.

Casino (1995)
really good movie
19 February 2003
This is a really good film since Goodfellas because of the acting performances in the film and the violence in the film was a brutal roller coaster ride which you have to tolerate yourself to see this film. Overall, this is a very good movie and if you are curious, please watch this film!

Uhhh...
26 January 2003
The movie has a love story with violent action sequences in the film which made me to enjoy this film. The way the film is made because of the aggression mixed in with charisma and character. It seems to me this movie is Memento meets Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I find this movie alright but if you want to see this film, it's totally up to you.

Memento (2000)
The most mind blowing film I've ever seen.
26 January 2003
Christopher Nolan directed a wonderful film and I was blown away because the whole movie is in reverse which means audiences have to piece this movie together. The acting performances of Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pantoliano are perfect for this film. If you want to see this film, go see it because it is the best mind blowing film to see!

E! News Live (1996– )
A fine combination between journalism and style
1 November 2002
When I started watching E! News Live back in May of 2002, I started to like the show because this Entertainment show is totally different and I like how they do their reporting stylish and professional at the same time. The Anchors Steve Kmetko and Jules Asner are talented professional journalists and their correspondents but wear trendy clothing instead of the basic bland news type format clothing.

E! News Live makes entertainment news more fun than their predecessors before them and made me switch to this show especially when Jules Asner is around. This show is a good example of the combination of professional journalism, personality, intelligence and style and I wish every news show around the world especially the news network CNN should follow their example of this type of journalism.

Wild On... (1997–2009)
It's Full Circle with Michael Palin meets Monty Python, ironic isn't
1 November 2002
I love this travel show because it's a travel show with a twist. I like Jules Asner hosting the first two years of Wild On and I also like Brooke Burke hosting the next two years of the show after Jules left the show.

It has your typical travel destinations but it has people in the clubs all over the world doing wild things when they're drunk and nudity uncensored which I thank Star! for that. It's Full Circle with Michael Palin meets Monty Python's Flying Circus because it just makes this type of travel show totally different from other travel shows.

I Can't wait till Cindy Taylor hosts the show because the show Wild On would be more wilder than ever!

Resident Evil (2002)
Intense film

Great computer animation but with a weak story line
23 May 2002
The movie is only good for the animation and the visuals are wonderful. The only thing that was missing is a good story line. What's up with "spirits" killing people in this movie and the whole fight, terror and death. No wonder some people don't like this movie, especially myself. I wasted my time and money to see this great animated, weak story line movie. Don't see this movie at all costs!

Funny Teen Movie
20 May 2002
This is the funniest film since American Pie and Freddy Got Fingered because it has both sex and gross humour at the same time which made me laugh a lot. Yes it's a movie making a satire to all the teen drama and comedy movies which made me to like this film!

The Forsaken (2001)
More action than horror
1 May 2002
I like this movie because it was a vampire film and lots of action into it instead of lots of horror. The acting is similar to watching popular teen shows and that's why they aimed this movie to teens and the nudity is not bad at all. The violence has bloody scenes but needs some brutality and style. If anyone is disappointed in this film, try watching Gangster No.1, it's not a horror flick but ten times more bloodier than this movie!

Whoa!
29 April 2002
Man, this movie has some brutality in it. I like the acting peformances of Malcolm McDowell, David Thewlis and Saffron Burrows in the film. When it comes to gang rivals especially in England in the sixties, it gets meaner and ugly and with brutal and catastrophic results. All I have to say is, watch this movie because You'll get blown away!

Belly (1998)
a great urban flick!
11 April 2002
I find this movie great because I like the performances of Nas, DMX, Taral Hicks, Method Man, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and I like how Hype Williams directed this film, it's so urban-like and realistic as possible. I watched this film thinking I feel sorry for these guys in the film that it makes you want to understand about the difficult times they have been through. I never took hip-hop and realistic urban views seriously until I watched this film, now I understand why it's a struggle on the streets instead of urban fairy tales for profit.

Blade II (2002)
It's back at full force
29 March 2002
The sequel rocked because the fight sequences were awesome and this movie had a plot twist this time. Wesley Snipes is back as blade which now he kicks the living out of the reapers "butts" and still bloody, which I don't find it offensive. Not bad for a sequel!

wicked movie!
21 March 2002
I love how this film is portrayed because of the realistic visuals of the film that makes it unique. Unlike Bruckheimer's trying to make "Pearl Harbor" into a titanic-like scale, I wasn't disappointed due to the fact Ridley Scott directed this film with Jerry Bruckheimer and left the war violent realism in this picture. I was happy the violent scenes were not blurred in this picture and bubble-gummed the violent nature for the little ones because Jerry Bruckheimer made a really good war movie this time!

Good Film
21 March 2002
I like this film because of how the film is portrayed. I also like the emotions in the film and how performances were so clear but I like the war scenes in this film, really vibrant. I find it overall, a great film!

It's Horror meets History and I liked It!
18 March 2002
I loved this film. Even though this film is based on the novel from Harold G. Moore and Joseph L .Galloway, Randal Wallace (person who wrote Pearl Harbor) wrote and directed the film. It's about Lt. Coloniel Hal Moore (portrayed by Mel Gibson) and other soldiers who have family, wife and kids go to war in Vietnam in 1965. Hal and the other soldiers were surrounded by about two thousand or so of North Vietnamese soldiers and have to clear them out. I liked the Hong Kong stylized violent sequences of this film because of the grapic war scenes were in slow motion instead of fast-paced. We Were Soldiers is dedicated to the soldiers who died in the vietnam war but the bloodbath in this film made it into a resident evil-esque version of the flick "Pearl Harbor". For the horror , gorethirsty and splatter fans, try watching this movie!

Rush Hour 2 (2001)
I guess the second rush is better.
18 March 2002
I didn't like the first film due to the cheap jokes in the film. When I bought Rush Hour 2, the movie was funny maybe they hired good writers. It's Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) team up again but this time Det. Carter's vaction got interrupted by u.s. embassy bombings by triads and both of them must stop them. It had some unusual twists and turns in the film but the martial arts fight scenes were life like without any string attachments and Zyang Ziyi (even though she barely talked in this movie except for mandarin) which she kicked Carter in the head when Carter said that she smelled good or something. They had mild sex references in this film (which is okay to me). Maybe the third Rush Hour Lee and Carter would fight terrorists in the Philippines (There wasn't a U.S. film filmed in the Philippines), I Guess?
