Space Mutiny (1988)

This is, of all the movies I`ve seen on MST3K, the only one that I could say that it was a serious possibility that the makers were trying to make it bad. I mean, look at the flaws. The movie reuses so many shots that you`re only looking at about five minute`s worth of original material. The fact that the lieutenant is killed and then seen right after working away at her desk. The plot flaws (which are so numerous I can`t begin to list them all). The screeches let forth by Reb Brown (or Big McLargeHuge, whichever you prefer). I mean, c`mon. The high pitched, girlie squeal? What editor in his right mind could ignore that. Then, when he`s about to blow Kalgon up with his go cart, he lets out a large, bellowing scream, stops abruptly, and jumps off. How cheesy. And the dialogue! ("Oh, c`mon, I woulda got out of that situation no problem.") Still, it is a testament to the genius of MST3K that they can take a movie as abhorrent and make it such a delight as this episode is. The final half hour is just non stop laughs no matter how many times I watch it. MST3K is pure beauty and it brings tears to my eyes.

Magical
17 June 2003
This is a truly magical episode of MST3K. Though the movie itself is stupid beyond telling, the episode is arguable the most funny I`ve ever seen. My dad thinks it is anyhow. From the opening lines thrown out by Mike and the `Bots ("Let`s predict some crap" "I forsee I`m gonna get hammered" "Is there a cheaper vodka than Popov?" "The ants have been screwing with her like that for years") to the part when Jonathan confronts Merlin ("I bid you lick me") to when Jonathan fights his cat ("So the cat`s flesh was roasted" "No Grandpa, no!" "Sit down, you`re gonna listen- The cat`s flesh melted, the horrible screams!" "No grandpa!" "Heh heh") to the cheesy 80s part ("Yep, that first morning beer is always the best!") and the priceless finishing line, which is so memorable that it begs full transcription. Contrary to what some of these commentators have said here (and I`m not blaming them), Crow, not Servo, says "Remember to believe in magic...Or I`ll kill you." This episode truly made me believe in magic.

The ONE
8 January 2003
This is absolutely the best show in the history of mankind. Adjectives cannot describe how good it is. I have a problem though. Me and my dad and my brothers (I'm 15) watch the show, but we`re Catholic so we can`t watch any that are full of women prancing around in bathing suits or their underwear. So can anyone recommend clean ones (preferably those available from Rhino)? If so, please email me. You will be doing a tremendously great service.

Wonderful!!!!

This movie is a tremendous film that the entire family can enjoy! Women will enjoy the three handsome guys in this movie: 1) Torgo, whose slick passes at females and his snappy double entrendes rival James Bond, 2) The handsome Devil, who has more wives than he knows what to do with, but can always add a couple more (making him perfect for women who like "players"), and 3) Michael, the husband, whose good sense and tremendous desicion making abilities almost outweigh his good looks and charm. Men will enjoy the endless scenes of semi attractive women wrestling for some strange reason. Children will enjoy the daughter's heart-piercing cries for help once her dog is mauled, and the suprise ending when she ends up as one of the devil's wives! A true delight!

And if you can't sense the sarcasm, then you are only half as stupid as the director of this movie, and that is the most vicious insult a person can deliver.

This movie hurt me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was depressed for the rest of the day. What really sucks is, Joel and the 'bots just aren't very funny, either.

SICKENING.
