I agree with the other reviewers. Many of the jokes only adults will understand. Like that one Godfather scene. It's written way different from other barbie series. Life in the Dreamhouse is about plastic dolls living in a plastic world, the other series show Barbie as a human. What makes it unique is it makes fun of the idea of Barbie, and girls in general. Barbie's dog and horse adds so much hilarity ! In between scenes, the characters and even the animals, will talk to the camera like they are being interviewed in a reality TV lol

Think of this series as, mixed of Totally Spies, Spongebob, Toy Story, Madagascar and Open Season. Every episode is very well written and funny. Something kids will enjoy, and will make adults laugh.

this movie's only purpose is to show how edgy or artsy it can get. that's all.

felt like watching a year-one film student's project.

Pattison tried too hard acting as a mentally challenged man with his obvious texan accent.

There seems to be plenty disconnected scenes, too much unnecessary stalling in-betweens.

Everybody in the movie seems to be magically sleeping or being very quiet, and the only persons talking are Pearce and Pattison.

Very very thin plot ! I do not believe the script is more than two pages long. What a waste of my time. Laughable compared to Mad Max

i expected this to be a good movie, since I heard to much about the actress. So many times in this movie, the dialog seems "fragmented", loses direction. Like , incomplete sentences. The scenes are not interconnecting, again, no direction. The director/scriptwriter has a lot to learn. Precious could have been a GREAT movie if the script is better. They have much to learn from Iranian directors. Gabourey Sidibe's acting is pretentious to a certain extent. Like that scene where she beat her mother up, her mom threw a TV at her from a high floor, but she manages to miss it, but she act she so damn cool and calm. It's so cheesy and unrealistic. OVERRATED JUNK

I absolutely love this movie. Very good acting, plots and direction. Very unlike other sci-fi movies, it's just different. Watch it

I wish to answer a critic's claim regarding these "flaws".

Q : I mean, how is it possible that the aliens got stranded on Earth in the first place and then after 20 some years, the mothership seems to magically work again? A : The aliens were out of special fuel. Only they have the knowledge to synthesize such fuel

Q : Why does alien fuel turn a guy into an alien? A : The fuel might contain some sort of special DNA, or molecules required to stabilize the DNA contamination in Wikus.

Q : Why would Wikus only cut off a finger? A : Wikus wanted to cut off his whole hand, but wanted to try a finger first. Alas he couldn't stand the pain

Q : Why didn't the aliens retaliate with their superior technology? A : The aliens were found to be in a bad state. Humans helped nourished them. The aliens were thankful to humans and accepted their place in district 9, and didn't think humans as the enemy.

Q : Why would the government allow the aliens to be so loosely controlled? A : No government is perfect. Cost factor. Corruption.

Q : Why do the aliens act like savages even though they are supposed to be an advanced race? A : They think differently, they might think trash is not an eyesore. They just act different than human, does not equate to savagery.

Q : Why can't the aliens contact their planet, wouldn't they have the technology? A : They might have lost contact with their planet, or the equipment required to do so is broken.

Q : Why are humans allowed to stay in District 9? A : Corruption

Q : Why would Wikus's wife actual believe that he performed some sort of sexual activity with an alien? A : Fabricated video evidence shown in media, and maybe also influenced by her father

Q : Why is a spaceship buried under ground? Am I missing something? A : Stuffs dropped on earth when the mothership "landed" in the sky. Christopher Johnson might have found the spaceship and knows its function, therefore hiding it underground.

Unlike other bad movies I watched, this time I have had bad expectations of it, and I was right. I had to endure the suffering watching this movie because my brother apparently likes it. He also enjoys Bourne Supremacy or anything Vin Diesel. So if you have no brain, and thinks movies like The Shooter is awesome, this is the movie for you.

OK, a kid trained as a hit-man. Why tattoo a barcode on the back of his head if you want his identity to be secret? Totally predictable, emotion-less acting. Pathetic script, pathetic plots. This movie reminds me of the countless of other bad European action movies. Generic. Zero creativity (just like my writing)

I saw this movie with very low expectations, thinking it will be "vanilla/budget" like the previous scary movie episodes. But it made rolling on the floor laughing. This movie does not look like a cheap production, the special effects are well-done. I rate its predictability at 20% (the lower the better).

Many scenes are so funny and original. Some that I remember. :

• Cindy burns the ghost's hand in the attic. - Brenda throws the solenoid at a passing driver. - The ghost rolling down the stairs.

A must for the type people who can laugh at themselves. How can others give this movie a low rating? Don't deny you didn't laugh at that Cindy in the attic scene.

If i have to choose only 1 movie for my entire life, this is the one I'd choose. That is saying a lot, since there are other great movies to choose from, such as Color Purple, Sophie's Choice, Deer Hunter, etc...

There's something magical, special about this movie, that it puts you in a combination of sad and happy. Every time I watch this movie, it makes me laugh, cry and smile.

It's very difficult for me to explain why! The emotions, expression and 'acting' of characters are very realistic, it's almost like it's the same frequency to my soul.

Just watch it. You won't regret it.

OK, a cop stood behind Bourne, about, what? 10 feet away? Then points his gun at him, tells him to raise his hands, but he doesn't. Bourne just stood there still. So what did the cop do? Walks closer to Bourne, touching his shoulder.

That one scene pretty much sums up how disappointing this movie can be.

It lacks originality, it lacks depth, it lacks artistic value.

The storyline defies common sense. It could have been better movie if they use alien guns, as so to match the storyline.

Greengrass will absolutely find success like Jerry Bruckheimer, cause that's what he's trying to be.
