First, after you watched the movie. Scroll down and read "the call explained". It will blow your mind.

To the explanation I'll add something very important that prove this is the right explanation : at the start of the movie, she "lost her phone", and got a call claiming to find it. Yet when she checks, the phone location is her home.

This is very crucial, cuz 1) it ends with the same strange laugh as the "crazy girl" 2) it shows how her reality starts to crack, and her delusions start. Strange calls from imaginary people.

And the ending is very important, cuz her mother, as explained, died. And this tie up things. In her mind, her mother death is also not her fault. She said her goodbye, and her mom disappear in the final shot. And it also shows that she still didn't reconcile it all. In her mind the killer is still alive.

No spoiler in this part : I watched the first season and rated it 7.5 to myself. pretty decent. It's not a masterpiece but something different then the usual shows, but then, oh then, came the first episode of the 2nd season, and made such an unbelievable, unrealistic, naive and annoying plot "twists" that practically made the whole first season seem like a waste of time. one week later I still can't believe they did this to the plot.

Here is the spoiler : Well the first season ended when it's revealed the cop, her friend (and semi lover) is the killer she was looking for. he is corrupt, he work for the bad guys. and she recorded him admitting it. then in the 2nd season first episode, his captain comes and in a stupid 90 second scene just says "hey so you didn't do it right?" and the cop says "no off course I didn't" and the captain says "oh ok, then here is the phone (that recorded the confession), now delete this from the cloud, and come back to work".

Holy s#@&, what???

Seen some plot twists in movies and shows, but this is plain and simple dumb and made me not wanne watch this show any farther.
