Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
Wow...it took me 5 years to finally see this...
And now that i have, i wish i hadn't. H20 is about as bad as it gets not just by horror films standards, but by film making in general. I actually laughed more and did not feel an ounce of suspense until a few minutes toward the end. I thought i was watching scary movie 2 (worst spoof ever). I kept waiting for a big build up to explode at the end and maybe save the movie, but it wimpered out and fizzled. It's too bad some directors and writers just have no shred of creativity and spookiness in them but still insist on making a film with "Halloween" in the title just to get their hand in the pie. Each Halloween movie seems to be getting worse and worse. After seeing H20 i definitely want nothing to do with Resurrection. Yet, i still hold out hope that part 9 will be decent enough to go see though.
Cliffhanger (1993)
5 minutes
Listen, this movie isn't worth a nickel. The only part worth watching is the first 5 minutes in which there is a suspenseful scene made ridiculous because of the old man, next to Michael Rooker, who was smiling, and could barely contain himself when Rooker's wife was hanging by a thread and eventually falls to her death. Sorry to ruin this scene for anyone, but it's not that that even matters...it's the old man smiling while this woman was scared witless that makes the scene a classic. How did that escape the editing room? Terrible, but at least it gave the movie one good scene.
Nuda per Satana (1974)
Strange
...definitely, but also amusing and easy to see why it is an Italian cult classic. I have it on DVD (bought with a gift card), and it is worth watching if you're interested in blatent nudity, sexuality, and a strange story with some bizarre scenes. This really is one to watch with a few friends. Fun. Classic.
