Gigli (2003)
Probably The Most Underrated Movie Ever... Seriously...
I (unlike 50% of the 2,000 people who gave this movie a 1) saw
this movie, and let me just say that this was the best movie of the
year (yes, better than PoTC). I can't believe why people gave it a 1
(possibly because they are sick of J Lo and Ben?). First off, the
movie was advertised horribly wrong, and because of that, the
movie suffered at the box office. I'm dissapointed beyond belief at
this point. Why don't you people see the movie before you judge it?
I used to love IMDB, but now I just can't stand it. See Gigli, it is a
truly terrific film.
The acting is amazing (even J. Lo is excellent). The story is great,
and the supporting cast is phenomenal. Go see it!!!!!!!! It truly is
one of the best of the year if not ever. I admit that when I saw the
preview, I thought it looked horrible, but after I actually watched the
film I was stunned at how amazingly good it was. 10/10 seriously.
Clownhouse (1989)
Absoulutely Horrible, Ignore The Hype, This Movie Sucks
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS
Okay, I watched this movie with very high expectations, and it didn't
deliver. Everyone says how great and scary it is, IT SUCKS!!! Bad
acting, horrible story, need I say more? Yes.
The so-called horror movie starts off with our lead character
displaying his fear of clowns in a short dream sequence that ends
with him waking up with wet pajamas. We then see his brother
come to wake him up with a huge bulge in his underwear (hmm..),
then we see our lead take his wet pants off (it's pretty obvious the
director was very into little naked boys). The day goes by (30
minutes later) and then the 3 brothers go to the circus where Cody
sees a clown, which then tries to pull him up as a helper for the
act, he obviously runs out crying. They go back to their house blah
blah blah. Three mental pacients kill the clowns in their dressing
room, and they dress up as clowns and terrorize the nearby home
the three boys live in. Blah Blah Blah......
The movie is extremely predicatble, stupid, and not scary (for me at
least) I give this movie credit for some funny diolouge between the
3 brothers, but other than that the movie in not worth your time. If
you want to see a truly scary clown movie, watch Stephen King's
masterpiece I.T. (Stupid ending but good movie) 3/10
Ignore The Hype
Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire (2003)
Not Nearly As Good As 'Zombie Island' But Average...
Not nearly as good as 'Zombie Island'. This movie was okay. It was kind of odd the way the characters had their old clothes, the theme music was similar to the original cartoon's music, and well, the story was kind of bad. I like 'Zombie' because it was original. I liked the way you see where the gang ended up after they split, not to mention a great storyline. Another thing that made that film great was the way they kind of spoofed the original cartoon (Fred's ascott consideration for his dinner clothes "nah"...excellent). This movie kind of throws the previous films of balance. But it's okay, not horrible, but just about watchable. Don't expect anything from the dvd (commentary by Fred, Scooby, and Shag) because it's not what you'd expect (would've been better for Zombie Island or The Witch's Ghost). Oh well. The movie is definetly the worst of all the latest Scooby Movies, all of which are excellent. But if you like Scooby, give the movie a chance. 5/10.
Pet Sematary II (1992)
Good If There Was No Original (Spoilers)
Okay. I could see how people could hate this movie so much, it's a
horrible sequel, like so many others. But if you think about it, this is
a truly great movie by itself. If part 1 was never made, I think a lot
more people would enjoy it like I did. Another example is Texas
Chainsaw Massacre 2. Was it like the original, no, was it still good,
yes. Oh well. It's really funny. After the stepdad comes back to life,
he''s pretty damn funny. And not to mention horrifying. I can't
remember a time when I was so afraid, seriously. The part where
he's start to chase his stepson after he took that kid's nose off was
so scary. Ummm. Just watch and forget there even was an
original. But hey, the original is good too. 7/10.
House of 1000 Corpses (2003)
Not For Fans Of Mainstream Horror...
"House Of 1000 Corpses" is a 70s horror based film, similar to
"Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and many others. Its an okay film, but
I expected more. There was alot of controversy surrounding this
film. It wasn't released for three years. With that in mind, I was very
anxious to see Rob Zombies film debut. But in some ways it was a
letdown. It could of been alot scarier, but it was still decent. It
wasnt exactly a masterpiece of the horror genre, but its cool in its
own right. Umm. For fans of old horror. If you think "I Know What
You Did Last Summer" is horror, this film is not for you. 6/10.
Good Will Hunting (1997)
10 out of 10
Easily one of the best films ever made. Great story, great acting,
great. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck not only give amazing
performances, but show that they know how to write a very good
screenplay, I'm glad they won the Oscar in 97', they deserved it.
And of course Robin Williams shows that he can do anything. All in
all this movie is a work of art.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
The Only Good "TCM" Sequel
This movie isn't that bad. Actually, I thought it was almost as good
as the original. It's definetely gorier, but there was really no gore in
the first one. But hey let's face it, gore or no gore, nothing is going
to top the masterpiece that is "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", but
this movie makes a decent effort. I would recommend this movie
over any of the other sequels, in fact the others should have never
been made in the first place. Ignore the poor ratings and bad
reviews. Don't compare it to the original, just watch and enjoy. 7/10 stars.
The Musketeer (2001)
Funny to watch, cause' it's so bad...
Man, this film was terrible!!! I expected it to be pretty bad, but not "HORRIBLE!" The fight scenes are okay, but the acting is incredibly bad. The acting might as well come from a bad horror movie, it would make the film 10 times better. Bad story, bad acting, BAD MOVIE. What a waste $40 million bucks.
The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1994)
How does this film have any relation to the first ones??
******Spoilers********not like it matters. Since when does the family do anything for the CIA?Seriously. And whats up with Leatherface's new look???Why in every sequel does an entirely different family live with Leatherface? I mean, Crop Top was cool, but come on...What's so unique about Vilmer anyways? He screams, woooo, thats very scary. Finally, what is the whole deal with that one guys who pulls up in the limo? oh well.
Dont rent it, buy it, or even watch it when it comes on T.V. Unless you like being dissapointed every time a classic is ruined by a piece of s!@# sequel like this one. From beginning to end is filled with stupidity, in a bad way...Teens stumble into the house, get hit over the head with hammers, Leatherface doesn't even use his Chainsaw for anything except to chase one girl, and they finish it off with a really cool dance. Give me a break....
Motel Hell (1980)
It's funnier than it is scary....
If your expecting nonstop slashing, gore, etc. this film isn't for you. It is basically a "very dark comedy".... My Grandpa's used to tell me about all the old good horror films, and Motel Hell always seemed to pop up the most. So when I got the chance, I rented it. From the way it looks (the cover, synopsis), it seems pretty stupid. But it's so funny, and kind of scary at some times, well, not really. But the jokes aren't the only thing funny about the movie, but the acting. Not Rory or Nancy, but the guy who plays Bruce, lol! Rent it and you'll know what I'm talking about. The last couple of minutes are worth the length of the film.Sure, they totally rip off TCM, but doesn't evrerybody?? P.S. The part where they are at the lake, looks like the Back Lot at Universal Studios....Enjoy!
Disneyland: For the Love of Willadean: A Taste of Melon (1964)
One Of The Best Movies That No Ones Ever Heard Of...
To sum it all up, 2 people have commented on this film, not including me. Luckily, I saw the film only because my Grandma recorded it befor Alice In Wonderland like 20 years ago. So I consider myself lucky. This movie is definetely on my top 20 greatest films of all time. The summary basically sums up the movie. Go see it... if you can find it.
Just One of the Guys (1985)
Buddy Rules...
Hands down, one of the funniest movies ever!! Too bad, some people don't feel the same. Buddy makes the movie. But too bad I never saw him ever again after this masterpiece was made. Oh well. Go rent it, if you can find it. The first time you see your gonna think I'm crazy for all the things I say about the film. But try watching it every night, for two weeks and you'll understand why I love this movie.
