The performances, particularly by Florence Pugh, are honestly great and this movie looks fantastic. The desert oasis "Victory" that the film takes place in, with it's unique American 1950s style, in looks great.
It is reminiscent of films like The Stepford Wives and The Truman Show. The first two thirds of the film builds intrigue in a great way with intelligently placed happenings as well as pieces of information. However this is followed by the third act which is a disappointing reveal that ultimately doesn't match up to its build-up, it removes all the nuance in the story and reduces the complexity of the characters and mysterious world-building.
I was ultimately dissatisfied and disappointed with the conclusion, and it felt like a waste of a superbly acted great looking movie.
