How'd they do that?
20 April 2022
The town is isolated from the world. Where do they get their gas, food, electricity? There aren't enough new citizens bringing food or gas. They don't have a generator.

Where is she
10 March 2022
The only reason I wanted to watch this movie was to see Sydney Penny. But she had only about five minutes in the whole thing. Disappointed.

This last sentence is to fill out the minimum character requirement.

Good

Finally! An Americanized British show that doesn't suck! This is actually funny, has US references, and IS tropes.

The rest of this is just to use up the 150 characters requirement.

Good Movie. Well Assembled. However . . .
31 December 2021
I am disappointed that this is not an adapts of the original book. It is an adaptation of the 1947 movie with Tyrone Power. It's as if the writer(s) never read the book at all. The scenes, the pacing, all come from the 1947 movie. The only original idea was the father's fate. They should have gone back to idea to the book for the source.

Borrrrrrring! Now I have to fill out this box to contain at least one hundred fifty characters. Starts out with the main character kidnapped. She become a forensic psychologist working with South African police. A dog finds an arm from a girl. And the kidnapper wants her to rescind her statement so he can be paroled.

BAD CANNED LAUGHTER
16 July 2021
This is the first episode where I noticed the canned laughter. It was sooooo bad, ridiculous, and very irritating.

Who care about these people? The female protagonist is an idiot, the male protagonist should have been institutionalized, the young male antagonist is the only almost interesting character. Stephen King, what happened to you?

Not Great, not Terrible
20 June 2021
Simple, obvious plot and reveal. Now I need to add words, so I will say that the ending doesn't solve the mortgage situation; the money must be returned to the owners. But hopefully there is a reward.

Warning: Spoilers
Didn't finish 30 minutes. The "hero" is an idiot. Is not prepared for an obvious comet collision, forgets important medication, leaves family to get meds.

No decent chocolatier would lick their finger and then handle the chocolate.

Full Credit?
23 April 2021
Why no credit to Tom Godwin's "The Cold Equations" which has the same plot?

Is This A Parody?
31 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Any resemblance between this show and the Agatha Christie novel is purely coincidental. The only common character is Miss Marple. As in the Joan Hickson version, they have a superfluous nephew, who doesn't appear in the novel. Makes me wonder if the writer ever read the novel, but saw the Hickson story and used that as his source. Anyway, the acting is over the top, the story silly.

IRRELEVANT PURPOSELESS WASTE
20 December 2020
I really expected better from Jerry O'Connell. No interesting or compelling characters. No character back stories. IMO poorly written, purposeless. The rest of this is filler to meet minimum character requirements. The rest of this is filler to meet minimum character requirements. BAD SUBTITLES
7 December 2020
Just started watching this. The first thing to irritate me is the bad choice if subtitle fonts, white titles again a light background. Too difficult to read and based on the reviews, too much trouble to watch.

Nobody's That Funny

Too much canned laughter. Even the most stupid attempts at humor get a raucous laugh, and most of the attempts are stupid.

Remake of Rosemary's Baby
3 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Overall pretty good. Actors are not well known but are competent. The story is almost a scene by scene copy of Rosemary's Baby. Neither Ira Levin nor Roman Polanski is credited.

I'm up to S2E8, pretty good so far with the obvious exception that DS Boyd is written as an idiot.

What a mess
10 August 2020
Harrow suffers from bad writing, overacting, too much filler. A three, or maybe four, hour story is extended to ten hours. Supporting characters are inconsistent in their responses to the main character depending on the immediate requirements of the scene.

WHO GIVES A CARE
2 September 2019
I watched the second season. There were too many barely connected story lines. Unsympathetic, who cares characters. Irrelevant scenes. I didn't see any point to this story.

Why? Why? Why?
16 August 2018
Why do writers (producers?) insist on telling a two or three hour story in 11 hours? This is not a good story yet, but it is a boring story now.
