A huge Let Down... Disappointing end to a brilliant series!
23 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The movie anticipated by its fans for the last 4 years...n what they get in return is a huge disappointment. It lacked conviction, believability, realism and what not; BATMAN: He's miserable, crooked, broken and pathetic. It looked like he wasn't retired he was retarded...and will never "rise" from his misery and sorrow. He has abandoned every worldly affair after the events of TDK (Harvey's deeds and Death, Loss of his GF etc, BUT has no problems in sleeping with Miranda. Batman was shown a mere puppet dancing to the tunes of CATWOMAN or others. In this, the protagonist's role was totally subsided and used to save the movie from ending up into a total disaster. He is made to look fool by selina but not only forgives her easily rather is running around her begging for help at instances...To locate Bane in sever, To take her to Fox, to save Gotham and even she saved her from his inevitable death in the hands of Talia and Bane. BATMAN is having flexible backbone (When BANE broke it and left him in the WELL, his backbone which is protruding outwards is fixed by cell- mate just by a punch and finally back in Gotham within a span of 5 months —MEDICAL Marvel). CATWOMAN- she was totally redundant and insipid, her only role was to create an illusion of deceit and mistrust which was pretty lame and predictable. The movie projected CATWOMAN as the main lead with Batman as Sidekick. Bane: Firstly, excellent choice of Villain and casting, showcasing his strength & power. Hardy gives a good enough performance amidst limited scope provided to him. Only Nolan knows why he under-utilized the clash of Batman and Bane. The speech of BANE was inaudible and was shown a puppet whose strings were in the hands of Miranda ....... Alred / FOX /Gordon: The only realistic characters throughout the series and also executed almost perfectly by the living legends. Blake: The character of an honest cop who mysteriously finds out the secret Identity of Batman, he has tried a lot to justify his role and given a good performance. PLOT : The plot of the story is loose and absurd to be precise...the build up to the story is pathetic and lame. Gist of the Plot: Firstly Bane rises, then CATWOMAN rises, then Batman Rises, then with deceit of Catwoman, Batman Falls => Bane Rises again, then in Well Batman Desperately rises to the chants of "Rise", then CATWOMAN AND BATMAN RISES COMBINEDLY, then Talia Rises with a Thermo- Nuclear Bomb, then BANE falls thanks to CATwoman's heroics that saved the total fall of Batman, then Batman rises again to save the eminent fall of Gotham, but for some time it looked he had fallen to be a true hero that dies for a larger good, but then suddenly the story ends wherein NOLAN revives him living Alfred's Dream and gives the way for Robin to Rise => Robin Rises eventually. Technical Flaws: 1. why he didn't exploded the bomb in the first place as no reference of any demand was made and he wanted to destroy Gotham...was he waiting for the Batman to come back..and save the City.... rather made it go merry go round for the whole period of 5 Months. 2. why no after effect/ shock wave/Nuclear Wind etc of the Nuclear Bomb wasn't even felt (Was the bomb Nuclear or Not???) 3. The Bat Suit which was resistant to knife and Gun Fire (As stated in BB) was simply penetrated by the Talia's Knife... 4. The BAT Mobil was easily destroyed when CATWOMAN was on rampage following the Bomb with just a single blow or gun fire...like a pack of cards. 5. Only steal from those, whom you can outrun –What exactly they wanna preach. 6. BATPOD or "The bat" which as we find out later in the film that any person can apparently drive and operate with no training whatsoever. Just Autopilot it and here u go...I even think that Lucius has taken it for a spin on occasion when traffic is just too heavy. 7. How can they send the entire force behind bane, down the SEWER and they after explosion survived there for entire period of 5 months... 8. When Bruce comes out of the prison... How the hell he gets back into Gotham with no money and no resources and with Gotham supposedly locked down? If no man can leave the city...how he entered it?? 9. He comes directly back to the Selina and again starts his cry for help....Hey are you the Real Batman? 10. why Bane's exit from the movie was so rushed through? 11. What "epic conclusion" wherein last 5-6 minutes of the movie was only showcasing a Next part or a sequel....where Robin's character might be taken up...So why say PERFECT END....My only question is Where is the End?? So, if you have seen both the previous movies and have any idea who the Batman is... you can easily find out what went wrong with the movie rather its quite intriguing that people and critics are showering all praises for this....hence it is advisable to people to watch some good movies rather than just going NUTS....OMG! What a movie...splendid..Perfect etc..blah blah....STOP THIS CRAP AND HAVE THE DECENCY TO STAND WHAT IS RIGHT... I know that Nolan has given us great movies till now...and I am one of his ardent fans...but this however doesn't stops me from saying that this was almost average and nothing close to PERFECT. Nolan from the onset was under a huge pressure to deliver and rightly so after the BB and TDK....But he has failed miserably this time and has on top of all broken the trust which all fans had endowed on him...This is the movie NOT THE ONE WE DESERVE Neither WE NEED IT RIGHT NOW... Hope Christopher Nolan stops at this catastrophe or else WE ALL WILL RISE TO SEE THE FALL OF NOLAN!!

Decent Movie !!
30 November 2011
"Friends with Benefits" is a decent enough Rom-Com movie starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. This movie starts with placing a cliché on the romantic comedies but soon the protagonist who both just ended their relationship meet when Jamie (Mila Kunis) who is a headhunter meets Dylan (Justin Timberlake) regarding his new job at "CQ" in New York. Their mutual relationship gets underway when Dylan who is in dilemma whether to accept the offer from "CQ" or not. So to sell off that offer she decides to "Sell New York" location rather than the Job itself. Their friendship develops eventually and they come out with a plan to have casual intercourse considering it a game just like tennis. The relationship grew day by day before they actually fell in love without each being aware of it. During the run of play, Dylan visits his hometown in LA to his family and decides to take Jamie along with himself. As they developed a friendship with sexual benefits, they had one course at their home but to the surprise of Dylan, his sister watches him leave Jamie's room and they think that they both are in a relationship. But when Dylan was saying some ill-words against Jamie to his sister to shrug her off, unfortunately she listens to it and decides to leave back to New York early next morning. Now when he comes back to New York he finds Jamie behaving strangely and they both decide to put an end to their friendship. But the moment of enlightenment comes to Dylan when his father visits him in New York and he pour his hearts out when he admits of having an incomplete loving relationship which he was unable to make reach its penultimate goal and how that has hampered his life ever since and suddenly he realises what Jamie meant to him in his life. So he make amends and movie ends on a high note wherein both admits their eternal love for each other and lives happily ever after. The review would be incomplete without placing a special emphasis to the character of Tommy (Woody Harrelson) who plays a small but beautiful role of a content writer at CQ. His philosophy and approach makes the movie hilarious as well as interesting. His dialogue wherein he tells Dylan about his philosophy is the pick of his character and helps him to realize his friendship with Jamie. I would give a decent 7/10 for this Rom-Com and hopes people would appreciate a simple movie as it is rather than getting dissection of each of its aspects.

Laugh-Out-Loud!!
27 November 2011
Jim Carry, an actor that redefined the comedy genre by his marvelous comic timing and wit & humor. His movies have always been a laughter riot and have left millions of people laughing their hearts out seeing the way he delivers and performs. Liar Liar is another movie which has demonstrated that Why Jim carry is one of the best comedians of our times. This is a simple story about a Lawyer Fletcher Reede (Jim Carry) who relies heavily on his lying abilities to win cases. He has a broken marriage with and a beloved son whom he loves but can't spend time with due one reason or another and lies with him. The story then takes a twist when on his birthday, due to his father's inability to reach and in the spirit of disappointment, wishes for only one day his father cannot say a goddamn lie even if he wants to lie. Now, this wish comes true and now the fun part of the movie begins. The routine situations where earlier Fletcher used to carve the way out easily by lying would straight away bluntly say the Truth. But the only problem is speaking the Truth is that it hits at the person badly which he/she is not able to digest. There are umpteen instances which makes us laugh the hearts out by seeing Jim Carry perform all those silly and hilarious scenes. A few of the Noteworthy scenes are "When He Jostles with pen about its color", "The Court Room Drama – Case of Mrs Cole" and many more. This movie makes us realize how evolved an actor is Jim Carry. This movie is a must watch for all just for a simple reason to witness the greatness of Jim Carry, how he performs even the simplest scenes and takes it to the level which has been witnessed never before. I would give this movie a 9/10. Enjoy, Laugh and breathe!!

What More Do We Want!!
21 November 2011
Yesterday, I saw the movie "Paycheck" and against the so-called rating I found the movie pretty good. This movie has everything that one can expect from a sci-fiction action thriller which carves it way beautifully during its course. The reviews have unnecessarily demeaned and underrated this movie and has spread bad-word which is not at all deserved by the movie.

The movie revolves around a protagonist Micheal Jennings- an reverse engineer(Ben Affleck) who does Technical Jobs for various organizations and whenever he's done with his work, his memory is wiped out within that period and he gets a handsome paycheck in lieu of his services.

The Twist comes in the movie when a billionaire James Rethrick (Aaron Eckhart) offers him a new assignment that would take 2-3 years of his life and memory. The movie comes to a leap where in it has been shown that the assignment is finished and Jennings comes into the real world only to find out that he has given up all of his paycheck in exchange of some offerings i.e 20 Items which would help him in situations to come. The main plot here is that he was working on Machine that enabled him to see his future and he saw that he will be killed by Rethrick. So to survive he beautifully engineers his way out of this situation where FBI, Cops, Rethricks men all are running behind him.

This movie do have some lapses but it scores on strong vision of director, good performances and gripping plot. This is a breathe of fresh air for a sci-fi fan and should be appreciated.

Accepted (2006)

Rejection- shove it up your A-S-S !!!
11 November 2011
This movie deserved a better class of reviews and definitely a higher rating than it actually has. In my opinion, Accepted is based on one of the most relevant topic of our generation wherein the agony and feelings of all those students who due to one reason or another are unable to get accepted to a good enough college after completion of their high school. The central character played by Justin long who when unable to get accepted to any College starts an Unaccredited college along with a few of his friends so as to fulfill the expectations and dreams of his family.

During the course of this, the whole lot of students like him which too were not accepted to any of the college come to this institute to pursue higher studies. This movie provides proper insight to our education system and its inability to carve innovation and fuel imagination in young fresh minds which wants only "possibilities" in life and a belief that they also can contribute to the development of world and change the face of time on their watch.

The character played by the dean of South Harmon Institute of Technology was quite interesting and intriguing as its views presented about the existing system and world around may not please many but unfortunately are true.

Also, the character of Sherman Schrader is also relevant in the current time as the person who is somewhat different may be in appearance or attitude is always met with hatred of others and becomes a misfit in the society of commons.

Lastly, Justin long proved that he too can put by the act together and give a performance which can demonstrate its worth as an actor. He stuck the chord with connecting beautifully with the character of protagonist "Bartelbey Gaines". His speech at the end of the movie encapsulates the essence of the movie and packs a Knock -out punch in front of the panel before whom they had a hearing for accreditation.

The line "do not Judge us by the way we look" is my personal favorite. Hence, I would rate it as 8/10.

A Masterpiece !!
11 November 2011
"The Bucket List" - a movie wherein two protagonists i.e Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, when meet in a hospital owned by one of them and other being a terminal patient become friends in their last lap of life. The basic postulate of this movie is the Realization of Importance of Life in the advent of its end. The movie shapes beautifully wherein a multi-millionaire and a working mechanic tries to relive their life and appreciate the beauty of things, people and world around themselves. They on their quest to live cherish-able moments in life start with making a list of unfulfilled dreams and things which get neglected in the course of their life and called this "The Bucket list".

The credit must go to the director in coming up with two of the best in the Industry and pulling it off with a masterpiece. The movie reinstates the fact that there is much more than what we can actually do with our life by appreciating the world around us and realizing the beauty and significance of Human life. This movie is a light paced movie which leads ultimately to the death of protagonists but they have lived a whole different life for some time at least before they finally said adieu to the world.

I would give the movie 9/10 Rating and a thumbs up to the movie which has presented us with an life changing experience and has given all of us a chance to stop worrying about life and start really living it.

Robo-Rocky Revisited!!
10 November 2011
There was a lot of buzz around with the response the movie got with rave reviews, but none the less this Robo-boxing movie was one of the pick off movie of the year with another power-packed performance by Hugh Jackman. The movie was filled with apt amount of everything : Drama, Romance, Fights, Father-son Relationship, Comedy etc.

The Concept of futuristic Robo-boxing was presented and executed to near perfection with the advanced graphics. Another high point of the movie was its background score which provided the right kind of adrenaline rush that gets amplified on many an occasions. The best part of the movie were the ones wherein the shadowboxing was executed by the Robo- be it in the final round or Robo Dancing on the steps of the Wonder Kid played by Dakota Goyo, which certainly added the charm and innocence to the movie. The best part of the movie was when Hugh Jackman was fighting the last round having Robo shadow box in the ring against all powerful Machine Robo.

This movie stands tall based on its strong storyline/plot, heart pounding Background score and Steel Plated power packed performances by the two central characters played by Dakota Goyo and Hugh Jackman.

I am giving this movie a 9/10 rating. A good enough watch for all generations and especially to those who wanna see a Robo incarnated Rocky like the great Sylvester Stallone in the ring beating the Hell out of the opponent.

Simply enthralling!
8 November 2011
"The Dark Knight" - a sequel to the "Batman Begins" movie of the revamped batman series with Christian Bale playing the protagonist role of "Batman/Bruce Wayne" and other mainstay actors kitted perfectly to their roles in the movie under the vision of the director Christopher Nolan. The movie based on the famous batman-joker episode on which various movies had been made but this movie and the performance of cast especially "Heath Ledger" who took the baton from the famous Jack Nicholson has stolen the show and many were beguiled and flabbergasted after watching the movie. This can be one of the most deadly and ghastly performance from Heath Ledger or "the Joker". He in his last performance has breached the Human Threshold of Performance and would be remembered till eternity for his breath-taking Performance. The credit also goes to Christopher Nolan to have made such a simple plot movie look out of this world and making the concept of Batman believable to have been existed in this real world and giving the "batman's" character, a fictional comic character, existence a worldly that is believable on today's watch. The Dialogues were exceptionally and brilliantly written and even better executed with a marvelous cinematography and screenplay. This movie broke all shackles and records to raise the bar of the Batman Movies to a Sky High Level and now it seems interesting that how will the Next part lives up to the expectations of Millions of fans spread across the world eagerly waiting for Next Cultural phenomenon. I would like to give a rating of 10/10 with a "*". This movie is undoubtedly one of the best movies of this century and is a must watch for anyone who has ever loved and adored good movies.
