Keep Breathing (2022)
Must watch. Not just about survival
"Keep Breathing" is an outstanding limited TV series that deserves more recognition. I absolutely loved it and think it's incredibly underrated. I highly recommend this show to anyone who's looking for a powerful and emotional story that goes beyond just survival.
The show's plot revolves around a woman who survives a tragic event and must learn to cope with the trauma that follows. The character is beautifully written, and the actor delivers exceptional performances that will leave you invested in their journeys.
Despite what some negative reviews might say, "Keep Breathing" is not just about survival; it's a deeply emotional story about human resilience and the strength we find in each other. I was moved to tears by the end of the series and left with a feeling of hope and healing.
If you're looking for a well-crafted, emotionally charged TV series, "Keep Breathing" is definitely worth watching. Don't let the negative reviews deter you; give it a chance, and you won't be disappointed.
The Midnight Club (2022)
Tediously boring
I am a big fan of Mike Flanagan, especially after watching The Haunting of Hill House & Midnight Mass. I must say, he did a phenomenal job in these two shows. This one? Not so much. I was very disappointed with it! The plot was unoriginal (despite being based on CP books) and predictable, especially the jump scares. Nothing scary about them. The acting was mediocre at best, and the special effects were underwhelming. The pacing was slow, the dialogue felt forced, and all the characters were just annoying. I lost interest in episode 5 and ultimately did not care about finishing it. It was a waste of time, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Mind blowing and Underrated
What a show!! It starts slow, but the acting, the character development, and the quotable lines... waw!
This is one of the most powerful shows I've seen in Netflix for a while now.
There isn't much of a scare in the whole show, but there are moments that will take you off-guard, coupled with a couple of shockers. Its more psychological thriller, and digs deep into your faith, humanity, justice, salvation & repentance.
And it has one of the most beautiful endings I've seen in a long while.
