Watch it again and listen to what the Editor says
28 January 2021
I know I'm writing a little out of date. Just now saw the movie. I write this review for people like me who don't read reviews before seeing the movie, only after. I am not going to give any spoilers. If you did not understand the movie, my advice is "Go back and watch it again." Pay attention to the editor's review, played by David Harewood. It explains the movie. If you understand that, then you realize why some characters disappear and the same objects/people appear in different settings. And that is all I am going to say about that. When movies get stuck in my head, I like to come here and read about it to see if I got the movie, how far off I am, and about others' opinions, either those who liked it and those who didn't. I see movies for many different reasons. I thought this would be a sexy movie as I began watching in the first of Olivia Wilde's scene. It is not. It is a drama. If I knew that, I probably would not have watched it, but I'm glad that I did. I also did not realize the director was the same from Crash (2004) until I read it in one review. Yep! There are some parallels in the sense that they were directed by the same director, and both have a great cast. I cannot explain why I don't agree without giving away the plot. It also made me realize the reason for many details and paraphrasing Brad Pitt in The Devil's Own (1997) "This is not a Hollywood story. It's a human one." And many details are just metaphors. It is not about betrayal as, at least, one reviewer characterized it's about loss, guilt, and seeking catharsis. And to answer to another reviewer, that said "Pulitzer-prize winner author, who smokes cigarettes in darkness and slams his Macbook when ideas don't seamlessly flow to him (people do that?)." Well, I'm not that type of writer, and I don't smoke, but yes, I do. And the answer Liam Nesson's character gives to his wife, played by Kim Basinger, about how his writing is going... yeah, I feel that.

Great movie, great characters, great actors, great colors. Watch it.

(yes, I did "rewind" and saw the movie from the beginning)

Good use of time

Marking this time, this is a good entertainment, to watch loud. Marking history, praise those whose imagination is not bound by walls and quarantine
