Silly but entertaining.
21 January 2024
The film, undeniably entertaining, offers a two-hour escape into amusement, despite the occasional inclusion of seemingly illogical scenes. To fully relish this cinematic experience, viewers are encouraged to momentarily set aside the pursuit of logic and embrace the light-hearted fun it promises. The lead actor delivers a commendable performance, complemented by the sheer beauty of the heroine. However, the portrayal of the hero's father tends to verge on the excessive, while Srikanth Ayyangar's role, though fitting, remains relatively inconsequential.

Adi and Brahmaji's second foray into comedy proves noteworthy. Sampath's impeccable comic timing further enhances the comedic elements. The songs, with the exception of one, can be easily overlooked, while the energetic dance sequences by the heroine remain a consistent highlight.

RajShekar's role, while not significantly impactful, potentially lays the groundwork for diverse roles in his future endeavors. The movie, while interspersed with numerous silly scenes, manages to salvage them within the context of comedy. It is, overall, a worthwhile one-time watch suitable for family audiences, promising an enjoyable experience.

Below Average
15 January 2024
The film falls below the threshold of being considered merely a time-pass experience. Employing a standard formula, it revolves around a group of criminals or thieves with ostensibly good intentions who find themselves entangled in circumstances requiring them to perform tasks for the government to redeem themselves. This narrative framework has been extensively utilized in numerous films, contributing to a sense of predictability and repetition.

For movies following such a formula, success hinges on a combination of a strong cast, well-crafted screenplay, and either compelling comedy or intense action. Regrettably, this particular film lacks proficiency in these essential elements. Kevin Hart, known for his impeccable comedic timing, disappointingly appears to be missing that crucial element in this movie. His portrayal leans towards a more serious demeanor, which fails to resonate effectively with the film's overall tone.

Delving into the supporting cast reveals a lack of substantial contributions to the movie's narrative, making them less noteworthy in the overall context. In essence, the film struggles to stand out due to the absence of key components that would elevate it beyond the standard formula it adheres to.

In conclusion, while the movie may serve as a last resort for viewers with limited alternatives, its deficiencies in casting, screenplay, and comedic elements make it a less compelling choice for those seeking a more engaging cinematic experience.

From Weak Beginnings to Climactic Heights: A Moderately Entertaining Film
12 January 2024
The film, while exhibiting strengths in certain segments, particularly shines in its climactic portions, effectively rescuing the overall viewing experience. However, the screenplay falls short of its potential, revealing weaknesses in the storyline. Although the music, background score, and graphics contribute positively to the film's audio-visual appeal, the narrative lacks the robustness necessary to elevate it to a more compelling level.

The protagonist's performance is commendable, yet the absence of a more commanding hero prevents the film from delivering the anticipated goosebumps to the audience. The comedy elements within the movie are notably lacking in strength, failing to leave a lasting impact.

The supporting cast, while not exceptional, manages to fulfill the requisite roles demanded by the narrative. Their performances, though not outstanding, suffice for the needs of the film. The climax, however, stands out as a well-executed sequence, setting the stage intriguingly for potential sequels.

In summary, the movie possesses commendable aspects, including a noteworthy climax and solid technical elements. However, the narrative's weaknesses, coupled with a less impactful hero and underwhelming comedic moments, prevent it from achieving its full potential. The groundwork laid in the climax for future sequels adds an intriguing layer to the overall cinematic experience.

Twists and Turns: Navigating Complexity in the Engaging Drama of Mangalavaram
6 January 2024
This film unfolds with numerous twists right from the outset. While these twists offer excitement and entertainment for the average movie lover, many of them tend to be predictable. Despite their predictability, the twists manage to captivate the audience's attention and maintain engagement throughout the movie.

The narrative introduces a plethora of characters, contributing to the suspense and prompting spectators to harbor doubts about each one. However, as the plot progresses, the significance of several characters diminishes, creating a sense of confusion. The performances in the film, although not at their peak, are sufficiently competent given the complexity of the character ensemble.

For viewers opting for an Over-The-Top (OTT) platform, it is recommended to experience the film with a high-quality music system, as the background score serves as the lifeblood of the movie. Overall, it qualifies as a decent one-time watch, providing a good source of entertainment and a few unexpected turns, even though the abundance of characters may lead to some confusion in the plot.

"Unveiling Ego's Grip: A Cinematic Analysis of 'Parallel Pursuits'"
6 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The film revolves around two men who, despite being identical, differ in age. They lead ostensibly selfless lives, convinced that their actions reflect love and responsibility towards their respective families. However, when faced with challenging circumstances, their true self-centered nature is revealed, as they prioritize personal desires over familial commitments.

In terms of the movie's execution, both the main characters and supporting cast deliver commendable performances. The screenplay is well-crafted, and the background score complements the narrative effectively. The film guarantees a minimum level of engagement, captivating audiences to the point where they abandon their daily routines to witness the characters' conflicts over a parking space.

The central conflict revolves around the protagonists' relentless pursuit of a parking spot, providing a relatable and amusing premise that keeps viewers glued to their seats. The movie subtly conveys a poignant message to families as the initially affectionate hero, seemingly idealized by many, fails to uphold his character when confronted with the genuine responsibilities of impending parenthood. The stark contrast between his initial display of care and his later egocentric actions serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of consistency in relationships.

In summary, the film succeeds in delivering both entertainment and thought-provoking content. The strong performances, well-crafted screenplay, and engaging conflict make it a worthwhile watch for audiences seeking a blend of humor and reflection on human nature.

Soulful movie with cinematic liberties
30 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Much needed movie for all generations with good storyline, message and inspiration. All actors performed very well. But looked like lot of cinematic liberties were taken for granted, one thing is people will not be interested in movies without those additions, but movie like this might have avoided it. One example is heros motivation is his family but they showed heroine proposing to him was the top motivation. Also for preparations like civil services one must need enough rest for body and mind, but hero works 15 hrs, 6 hrs of study and only 3hrs of sleep. One more bad thing is trying to hit librarian with shoe, librarian helped to get accomodation and shelter and some money for hero and few before him, but because of a misunderstanding hero tried to hit him with shoe? Also, threatening a police officer by telling him that he will become IPS officer and suspend him shows immaturity.

Prabhas saved the movie
23 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is below par in all departments except for Prabhas. There are lot of misfit actors like Jagapathi babu, Shruti Hasan, Brhahmaki, Shafi etc.. with full respect to them as they are very good actors if characters suit them. There is no strong motive for hero or any other characters. Music and background are just okay. Screenplay failed in this movie. Felt like a student who was preparing for a very tough subjects exam while watching second half. Too many characters and too much logic to digest for a Prabhas movie. Jhansis role suddenly disappeared. Saptagiri was not used. Zombies scene was unnecessary. Twist revealing by Shafi was bad. Prabhas saved the movie even though he just walked and swinged multiple swords in the movie.

Emotionally Hilarious movie
21 December 2023
This is one of a kind emotionally Hilarious movie. You feel sorrow to the core and the director immediately makes you laugh. Wonderful screenplay and narration. All the actors did wonderful job. Comic timing from hero and heros father is fabulous. It is an essential story line for current circumstances in real life as well as for the movie lovers to have a good weekend evening to watch a clean family entertainer for whole family. Climax proceedings were equally emotional as they are funny. My family had a good laugh. A must watch movie for everyone and it would be great if every week this kind of movies get released.

Boring
21 December 2023
Except Kalyani Priyadarshini nothing elsee is good to talk about this movie. Storyline is good but the taking and screenplay is very very bad. No interesting scenes or dialogues at all. First 30 minutes of movie is bearable trying to build the story and after thatovie has lost momentum. The inspirational dialogues didn't work out at all. Villains are weak and has no impact at all. Climax processings are not good at all. For such a good story line island idea there should be some interesting scenes and plot ideas that would have made movie a great success. Very boring movie overall, worth watching only for Kayani.

Watchable Psychopath story
1 December 2023
First half peaks, second half lot of psychoism. Movie is portrayed as father son love story. Where as Rashmikas love was more powerful. Character selection was too good. All main characters and side characters from Mishra to translator were well established and has value. Background score elevated scenes to peak. Ranbir did excellent acting as well Rashmikas. Anil Kapoor did excellent job showing his mood in expressions as a concerned father with fear inside and brave heart outside. Bobby deol too was excellent in his brief presence. Overall it's a different psychic experience and only for adults, when it comes in OTT only watch without kids presence.

Good movie but missing soul
30 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Movie is very good with very good concept with a simple screen play one scenario after another. But movie has missed soul, the take was similar to care of kancheraoalem but looks like it didn't work for this movie. Sampoirnesh habus comedy timing is missing in this movie, may be he tried to express seriousness. At least first few scenes he should have tried innocence with comedy timing. The elevation scenes should have more power to it, for example in the clear max after 2 persons come for support immediately while village is shown, instead after first person his father should have stepped in and few more. New actors did well. If compared with Tamil version of it it lost few points.

Movie of trailers
20 October 2023
Leo is not up to expectations, several trailers were merged into a single movie. Every 15 minutes a main character is introduced with hype which added some energy to movie so spectators can get some enjoyment. Villains in 2nd half is big let down, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja roles were not written properly. Only one of them is also sufficient for the movie. They don't have any strong reason to go against main character. Sister sentiment was not well established. First half is better than 2nd half. Vijay, Trisha and Gautam Vasudev Menon did excellent job, others even though big names dont have much to add to the movie.

Good movie with forced emotional scenes.
7 June 2023
Movie is very good, all characters, the link and relation between them are established well. Great effort was put in entire movie for rain scenes and all. The emotional scenes were not realistic and felt like they were forced just to create emotion. Now a days movie lovers need an average movie to make it big movie with different concept, same happened with this movie. Editing and screenplay is neat. Music is well enough for the movie. Appreciate the effort by multiple great actors working on a movie which has simple story line, limited time they appear. Overall a great one time watch, would have been very good if few scenes were not forced.

Worst spoof of KGF
17 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Upendra is a miscast, Sudha over the board action. Multiple villains in different areas like KGF, helicopter scene like KGF, Kid mom talk like KGF, set like KGF, Dhaka like unknown villain like KGF, Villains look funny. In the start of the film most notorious gangster gets changed by a slap, no words for that scene. When rowdys come to kill hero on a bike, they shot themselves in the back that was hilarious. Background story telling is like KGF but not effective. Songs are soo bad, not sure what's the need for item song as it has zero impact. Then again heroine father sentiment as KGF. Overall biggest comedy movie of the year.

Must need movie for everyone
26 March 2023
Best writing and direction in recent times. Last song was so meaningful and emotional. Performances are top notch. Dialogues were written very well and meaningful. Screenplay and flow of scenes handled very well.

All the songs are good.

It's not a simple story, it needs lot of experience and understanding of human relations to come up with such a story and convert it into an emotional and eye opening movie.

Definitely one of the top movies of all time.

Everyone gave top of the class performance and I am sure they might have been emotional during filming of the movie.

Hats off to Venu Yeldandi.

Realistic Sotry telling
16 April 2018
Yes the costumes, sets etc.. are not up-to the mark. But for a low budget series it looked like a good one. The story telling is realistic, screenplay is good, actors performance is good.

Hats off GunaShekar
9 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Gunashekar narrated the story so well, how Rudhramadevi transitioned herself into a great warrior and a ruler in the disguise of a man. This part was particularly handled well otherwise the whole movie might have become a big disaster. And director added enough drama to the story so that audience won't get bored anywhere. Anushka, Raana, PrakashRaj,Suman did decent job. But Allu Arjun is the main attraction of the movie even though he is not the main character in the film. His slang, look, body presence were too perfect and will bring repeated audience to the theaters. Everyone should say big THANKS to Chiru for the voice over, his help is great booster for the film. Even though graphics are below par, the story lifted the film and once again proved the story is the main strength for a movie.

No threat of "Meet the Athenians"
9 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Of course if a movie is well received by audience and have the scenes and dialogs which can be much talked about..then you can expect a SPOOF of the movie..but 300(2) doesn't contain any of that. It is not even close to 300(1) or the Gerard Butler. Eva Green must be in complete delusion while accepting the movie, a talent which is hugely wasted. The power of villain-ism is completely lost which is heavily required for this kind of movies. Xerces looked like he has no control or power after 300(1). Director might have put some interest in choosing the co-stars who made the film look like 2nd grade movie. And Sullivan Stapleton suits the role of friend of a hero but not the hero himself. Positives: 1. Eva Green 2. 300-Part 1, which pulled the audience to the movie.

Negatives: 1. Sullivan Stapleton 2. Lack of story 3. Weak Villain

Finally, apart from the movie Sullivan Stapleton looked like he summoned to the beauty of Eva Green when he meets her in her ship which is not required as part of the movie.

Timepass Disaster movie
21 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Definitely worth for your money. Looking at the rating i was in a doubtful mind whether to go to the movie or not, but finally decided to go as I took off for the day from office. Director made sure that you will not get bored for a single minute during the movie run.

Plus points: 1. 3D effects are awesome. Mount Vesuvius eruption was shown superbly and ash combined with fire looked like real. 2. Emily Browing looks fresh and well suited for her role. 3. Finally Kiefer Sutherland got a good full length role in a movie. 4. Gladiator's fighting scenes are highlight for the movie.

Negatives: 1. Very less emotion quotient. 2. A famous hero might have attracted more audience to the theater and more ratings. 3. Few scenes are obvious and can be predicted. 4. Finally in India break was given in the middle of the fight scene in amphitheater which killed the momentum of the movie.

darn i hate shaky cameras
18 October 2013
I went to the movie on release day. Primarily to watch Tom Hanks performance and to enjoy thriller. To my surprise it was one of those movies like Chronicle, United-93 etc. It is shot with shaky cam. There should be some suggestion or warning sort of thing to warn the audience that it is a queasy cam movie. I came out of theater with in 10 minutes. I didn't expect Tom Hanks movie to be a queasy cam movie. I felt bad because I couldn't watch Tom Hanks movie. And my money is wasted. There should be a genre for shaky cam movies like we have for comedy, thriller etc movies. I will wait to watch this on my laptop after blue ray print is out on market.
