The dark urban side of greece in black and white
3 January 2020
This is one of the best films from the point of direction and photography in the recent history of greek cinema. Oikonomidis best work to this day, with a shockingly realistic portrait of the urban everyday life and the well hidden secrets and passions that every house hides from the outside world. All of them are being revealed with a rare honesty. The performances are solid, not great, except the leading actor who manages with his eyes to give us all the emotions and the psychological pressure that he is feeling around him, even when he goes for a cup of coffee. Several awards for this film, which by far is the most underrated one in the past ten years in my country.

Excellent artistic work
3 January 2020
By the greek standards of film making at the 90's this is one of the best and most complete artistic works of the decade. The photography of Haris Stavrou is captivating, the soundtrack by Stamatis Kraounakis and the songs singed by Dimitra Papiou was a big hit at the time. The portraying of the 'skyladika' which were and still are, the so called greek night clubs with live music its fantastic and realistic. But the center of the movie its the heartbreaking love between the two leading actors Maximoy and Kouris, which have great chemistry.

Realistic and prophetic at the same time.
3 January 2020
The best film of the popular in the 80's and 90's greek director Nikos Panayotopoulos is his most mature and complete one. Its a realistic portrait of the dark side of Athens, which was unusual at the time for greek cinematography, in an age wherebad television had leaved its mark in the way the movies where seen by the public. It was a shocker in general and how a young man makes a living by doing scrapworks and being seriously underpaid. He is taking a job as a delivery boy and he is leaving around him the downfall of the urban society. The best thing about this movie its the prophetic images of a society that 6 years later fell in a world famous financial crisis, which from it hasnt yet recovered. The movie shows exactly the things that most employees are living in the crisis, 6 years before it..For every young greek this is a must see.
