The Intern (2015)
A Incredible breath of fresh air! Suitable to watch for many occasions!
First off I wanted to start by saying this movies genre is not the typical type I usually lean towards. When it comes to Hathaway movies Love & Other Drugs is the first one that comes to mind as a favorite. Anyways being a big movie watcher. On I have always rated watched movies & TV shows but up until recently have never left written reviews. Well being a big fan of both Hathaway and DeNiro. I was surprised in 2020 that I had not seen this movie.
Sometimes when I'm having trouble finding something to watch, one way I find something is I will look up one of my favorite actresses or actor and watch a movie starring them. Now it was a bonus finding a movie relating to the genre I needed to watch. With all the cruel people I have been forced to deal with lately it felt good watching "The Intern". The chemistry that DeNiro & Hathaway bring to the screen is a breath of fresh air!
Loved the plot and how even though this is a work of fiction. I just love how DeNiro uses many now obsolete norms of the past in a modern hipster style tech setting. I think this movie would be a good pick to watch on nearly any occasion. If you have a partner or children who stare at their cellphone screens like robots this is a must watch. If you want some pointers on how to be a gentleman this is a must watch. If your just looking for a feel good movie this is a must watch. Well I hope this was some help. Good Day!
Hunters: While Visions of Safta Danced in His Head (2020)
Sit back ladies & gentlemen. I truly hope you continue to enjoy "The Godfather" and team Hunt Nazi's!
By now if your still watching your most likely already 100% sold on the series. Personally I've had my eyes glued to the screen ever since the opening BBQ! Even though there's been some minor setbacks. Which unfortunately means I'm going to have to cut this review short and return to Nazi Hunters!!!
The Last Thing He Wanted (2020)
Not perfect but I believe the movie definitely deserves more stars than majority of the current ratings.
First off Hathaway was amazing as always! Her father played by Willem Dafoe was also amazing. Now similar to my review I wish the time was àvailable to dig deeper into everything that was going on. They either should have gone full on Irishman or done a Mini-series. Well keep an open mind to some of the unnecessary Hollywood add on's lay back and enjoy the story.
The Society (2019)
Despite some of the shows shortcomings overall I found the show an entertaining watch! Definitely recommend to people who are into shows of this genre... Enjoy!
Although I found many parts of this show off and likely will be juvenile depending on your age overall it was still a good watch. Despite some of the shortcomings which I'm assuming were from budget constraints. Personally I was entertained enough to watch all 10 episodes over a few Netflix binge sessions. The show originally caught my eye due to it sounding like "Between" another Netflix series which featured young adults and a town. Although there aren't any revealing scenes I must say the cast of this show included many good-looking girls & guys especially the beautiful actress Kristine Froseth. Likely the directors were going for a look of over privileged young adults that have never experienced the real world now having to form a Society on their own. I'm going to rate the show overall a 7 out of 10 which for me means it entertained me but had its shortcomings. I really hope for a season 2 as there were so many unanswered questions.
