Sandra Bullock's facial expressions, physical comedy, comedic timing, and great lines: Ditto for Michael Caine. Not a great movie, but very good, and those two performances, plus Shatner's as the emcee, make it a very worthwhile movie. When movies like Anchorman get a 7.2 by comparison, I feel like I'm somewhat alien to this planet......Keep forgetting that being concise on this website is not an attribute, so I'll digress. Humor is subjective, so everyone has their own, equally valid opinion, but IMHO Sandra nailed it, was at the height of her comedic prowess in this movie, and it will stand up over time not so much as a great movie (not), but a great performance by Bullock.

Not sure, may be my first review. Easily one of the worst movies I've seen in the past few years. Crude, lewd, butt zero humor. Get the butt? Hilarious, I know, just like the movie. Potty humor at its zenith or nadir, take your pick. Stinks like day old whatever. Now to finish up the ten lines. Oh, yeah, I have done this before, and had the same problem. Just hoping it was a more positive review/better movie. So I'll be more positive. Catch "The Intouchables", or "A Late Quartet", or "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", or "Django", or go for a bike ride. Hold your breath, write a letter to someone, anyone. Strike up a conversation with a stranger, or not a stranger. It's all good, and so much better than the @!#$ called "Ted".

First ever, so bear with me. If not for the cinematography and score, no higher than five stars, and five is dreck on my scale. Script was dreadful. Started out a movie for the 8-10 year old market. Okay, but had higher expectations. Then they executed the deserters. The rest seemed like an over the top paean to Black Beauty: survival assured (Dad made it - whew! - had me holding my breath!), but not much joy. A 99.5% improvement in areas of dialogue/contrived situations would have helped, but still not my type of movie. Just discovered why these reviews are so wordy. Ten line minimum. Understand attempt to minimize thoughtless/dismissive reviews, but the other end of the spectrum is only marginally better. Hope that does it.
