LOL: Last One Laughing Canada (2022)
Great comics. Terrible Host!
The comics are excellent. Tom Green and Collin Mocherie are genius, of course. This is just a bunch of comics doing zany stuff and trying not to laugh. What brings the show down is the host, Jay Baruchel. He's simply awful. His jokes are stupid and he's just generally annoying. That's probably why he's the host and not a contestant. I am not offended by cussing, but I think it's just stupid when a comic just constantly drops the "f" bomb for no reason. His gratuitous and frequent use of it is just annoying. He's like that annoying guy in your group of friends that you just can't stand to be around. This show would have been so much better if they chose a better host that's more likable-maybe Dan Levy.
Invasion (2021)
Incredibly slow moving a boring.
A great show that could have been told in 20% of the time. By 4 episodes in, I literally saw less than a minute of any alien. WTF is this show about anyway? Way too much time is spent on character development. It's difficult to continue watching. By the end, you have been completely drawn in, but you are exhausted by the way the story has been dragged out.
I'm watching it on the Apple TV app for Roku, so I don't know if the poor production has to do with the Roku platform or Apple. But there are scenes that are so dark that you can't decipher what is on the screen. The volume gets very loud at times, then it becomes so quiet that it's inaudible. Also, the scenes in Japanese have subtitles that frequently appear for LITERALLY a fraction of a second before the next one appears, and you miss the dialogue. Come on Apple. I've been a die-hard Apple fan since their first round of "Toasters" 30 years ago. You can do much better than this.
I can't believe that the same streaming video service that created an awesome show like "1971: The year that..." also created this poor production "Invasion."

The Boys (2019)
What did they do to The Boys in season 2?
What the heck is going on? Season one was so good. Season two has jumped the shark in a big way. There's very little action and they turned it into a soap opera. We waited a year for this garbage? I don't understand why all the critics are giving season two great reviews. The fact is, it sucks! The story drags and nothing happens. If you're looking for superhero action, don't waste you're time with this season.
The Master Cleanse (2016)
Shame on you Johnny Galecki and Angelica Houston...
Shame on you Johnny Galecki and Angelica Houston...
Given the possible potential of a decent storyline, this one really missed the mark.
