Bad Teacher (2011)

Slowly gets better...
7 June 2012
In all honesty, I felt the first two thirds of the film were shockingly dreadful, the humour was just irritating and the screenplay made the characters appear annoying. In all fairness, it did eventually get climatic towards the end of the film which obviously earned it a slightly better outcome than what it would've had if it had continued to be like the first half of the film. I think the most annoying factor of this mediocre film was that the terrible humour even made Jason Segel seem unfunny, and that just isn't right in my opinion as he's usually amazing in films working with better writers & directors such as Judd Apatow.

This is film is only really worth watching if you literally have nothing else to watch. Don't waste your money buying it. Rent it at the most. That's all I have to say.

Halo 3 (2007 Video Game)

Game of the decade.

Couldn't ask Bungie for a better sequel.

I remember queuing for this at midnight 25.09.07. Such excitement and such hype, not to be disappointed.

The storyline of the campaign is a thrilling addition to the series and the campaign mode can be enjoyed to the full in four player co- operative. This game is full of fun, however still manages to pack in difficulty with the legendary difficulty for those who want a real challenge. Even after getting all the fun out of the campaign, you can go on to online matchmaking in which you battle out in endless game types, packing in true competition with ranked matches, or social playlists for beginners or the action sack playlist for fun-lovers. Then there's theatre mode which is great for everyone. It gives you the ability to capture your best moments in halo by viewing your recent games and then being able to record footage from whichever angle you want and then recommend it to others to download and view themselves. Use it to show off, or just even just for a humorous approach.

It doesn't end there, there's also a forge mode in which you are given the ability to create new maps alone or with friends. These maps can then be recommended and others can download them and give them a play.

I purchased the game on its release date back in 2007. It's now 2012 and I still play it from day to day.

With Halo 3, the possibilities really are endless.

Superb kids film.

Although this film is obviously aimed at a younger audience, I still found it extremely enjoyable and seemed to be to everyone's liking/taste.

The films seemed to drag on with pointless action throughout the middle of the film, but towards the end of the film it started to get climatic and rather entreatingly thrilling. The humour throughout the film was great; classic Phineas and Ferb. Entertaining for children but also for the majority of older viewers too.

Some parts from the film would be better understood if you'd been a viewer of the TV series. For example, Phineas & Isabella's late scene and also the whole 'secret agent' situation with Perry and the boys etc.

Although this is a film aimed at children, I found some parts were very clever, alike with the Isabella/Phineas scene and the Perry scene, was the wonderful scene in which they brought all the inventions together in Danville to fight off the robot army. Obviously yet again, this is better understood if you'd seen the TV series, however I still think its a very clever factor to have in this film.

For anyone that was a fan of the series, this film will not let you down and is definitely a must watch. Have fun.

Prometheus (I) (2012)

Not one to disappoint.

I was lucky enough to watch this at the midnight screening.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews for this one. However, I found the film a superb prequel and yet again a thrilling, visually stunning joy of a film from Scott. The casting was very clever. Irishman Fassbender was shockingly amazing in this Sci-Fi hit, he's definitely one to watch out for. Rapace also gave a rather spectacular performance.

Its definitely one of the most anticipated films in the last couple of decades and I'd say it has definitely met its expectations. A must watch for Sci-Fi lovers.

The film itself seemed to be hidden with secrets or easter eggs as such, and so is definitely a film I would advise buying once available on DVD and watching multiple times to gain full understanding to this fabulous prequel to such a cult series.

Also, I must add that if you haven't already seen Prometheus, the ending was thrilling and quite revealing as to the story of Alien. Possibly some great secrets lay in those final scenes.

One of the few films that is possibly even better than its prequels.

If you liked the earlier films, this is a MUST see.

Fabulously done. Casting was highly satisfying as they kept all the fan- favourites in; bringing back the missed atmosphere that was the cult American Pie.

I personally didn't expect this film to rise to its expectations, being quite easily the most anticipated comedy sequel of all time. But somehow, the Adam Herz and John Hurwitz double team managed to bring back double the fun, laughs, and drama in this amazing 'finale?' to the loved series.

Great screenplay. Great plot. An all round joyful film, packed with lots of entertaining comedy and drama. If you haven't already seen it, stop whatever you're doing and go see American Reunion.
