They caught me in my feelings.... I fell asleep on the first run, but was intrigued enough to rewind. Long story short .... Crocodile tears... ~deep sigh~ .... This is one you gotta dig in the crates to find. Theatre always gives us a false sense of reality when it comes to soulmates and true love, but at least it keeps us hopeful of the possibilities. So, we keep coming back for more torture in. But we remain hopeful. The fact that you would sacrifice freedom to experience 20 mins a year of completion says a lot. I think I would do it too. After all, it's worth it. Make the best of it. And both Brinna and Gino are easy on the eyes so.... *tip, volume down if you have a sub woofer and live in an apt, the bass is a rumbling ...

Mine will be simple. It's a twist and a warning as I think every sci-fi/end of the world film is. I agree with another reviewer that stated the chemistry between Michael and Lizzy is .... and then I got to thinking this union would not produce two of the fairest lillies in the garden 9 X out of 10, then I got suspicious! Then it turned into what it was.
My final thoughts, I wouldn't want to be a kid forever. Maybe they should merge with Altered Carbon and get new sleeves. But the better alternative would be simple. Why can't we all just get along?

I don't have much to say here. The acting is good so far. One thing I kept asking EVERY episode however. Why is so blasted cold on the inside? I feel like they should've been wearing hats 24/7 for the amount of visible breath.

Well.
I think the network showed way too many previews. They almost showed the whole episode by the time ep 10 aired.
The fan base is young, from what I can tell, but I'm trying to enjoy it on my own personal "Twilight" level.
All that being said, it was a solid episode. I cheated and live tweeted, so I knew what was going to happen, so I didn't have a lot of emotion.
Some observations...
1. How did anyone expect Donna to survive an abdomen shot from a high caliber rifle. It requires surgery, not just patching up the wound. Did they think the stem cells were going to magically pop the bullet out? Mermaid or no mermaid.
2. They should have shown Decker walking into the water at least.
3. Everyone is hating on Maddie, but she is the most logical one.
4. I know having the three of them together would not be traditional, but I kinda want them to be a threesome. Or just Ryn and Maddie. Ben and Maddie is too predictable.
5. Maddie, letting the police handle this will not keep this delicate information contained and then all of the world is upon your town for all the wrong reasons.
Lastly, The scenery was absolutely beautiful, the music fit and the sound guy or girl is pretty dope. The sound of her tail moving in the water was the perfect attention to detail, you could almost tell how strong her propulsion is.
Enjoy. Bring on Season 2!

Something Different BUT the Same....

I won't over analyze. It's been picked apart at least 25+ times already. I sat straight up the whole movie and even paused it to get another glass of wine. I went to bed thinking, "that was a good one".
A few questions lingered however.
1. Did the little timer come with the kit that I'm assuming was air dropped in various communities?
2. Why would she leave her baby on a boat with a SLEEPING Daddy?
3. Why were they sticking their heads in the dirt?
All in all as far as zombie movies go, they did change some things up. We got different symptoms, varying timeframes and the "eww meter" was in the border of orange and red.
I think its worth a watch, definitely not a waste of time, but if you're just determined to pick something apart, it won't stop you. You can always start directing or producing these things yourself.

I tried. I did. I also usually only throw out good reviews 6+. But, I tried really hard to like it. I got through episode 4, then had to go back to chores (that was more interesting) ~for me anyway.
The concept of perfectly coiffed 20 somethings, that have time for flat irons, body waves, gel and scrunch in the middle of the Demon apocalypse was a HUGE stretch for me.
I'm also open to all age shows, I can watch Grace and Frankie and Uncle Grandpa. It is also possible that I was just annoyed in general. I kept thinking about Old Spice, my mind kept wandering, then after the chores I went back to S1E1 of Siren. Hell, I would've watched Supernatural over this. OH, I even had wine.
But alas, I felt nothing but irritation.
I give a 4 because the stylists on this show are really good, but the tattoos are bad (I am a tattoo enthusiast too) and out of respect for the shadowhunter fans that apparently exist.
Good Luck though ...

I always try to find the positive in everything. I'm not sure about the Twilight references, however the take on "Pirates of the Caribbean" style mermaids is refreshing. I'm still trying to figure out how many chambers are hypothetically in a mermaids heart. I'm also not sure if it's better to be a beautiful creature or a species...
I enjoy that EVERYONE is seduced by her not just men.
It confirms that humans (ie government), just take and take.
***spoliler alert*** I'm pretty sure he could've convinced her that taking her blood pressure is OK.
I look forward to the rest of the season, I wish it was a Hulu original so I could binge it but alas, I wait.

I binge watched this within reason, but still didn't get anything done so....
1. Famke! I love her in ANYTHING she does.
2 Bill! Has to be the prettiest Skarsgård hands down but ALL of them are quite lovely.
3. Joel! Uncle Johan is brilliantly good.
Those are my top 3 observations. I won't get all analytical. Everyone else did that already. When you watch this you have to have an open mind.
I think this series has the best Werewolf transformations EVER! I was pleased and grossed out all at the same time. Kudos to FX team for that. So refreshing!
I even found myself reading up on the whole Umpyr mythology. I was a little disappointed that Olivia/Famke let ANYBODY overpower her at ANYTIME.
I gave it 9/10 simply because this is my favorite genre, but the ending of Season 2 was a little cheesy and I was left with waaaay too many questions. This dragon with a goofy doctor face ruined the ending for me.
But I won't stop watching but please change the dragon/whatever and bring back Erika Ervin to play Shelley's body. She may be tall but I think she should still walk like a girl! (at least as much like a girl as a person that is 6'8 can)
