A Man Called Otto (2022)
The usual Hollywood stereotypes
I'll start out by saying that this was n enjoyable, emotional movie. That being said, it was the usual, men are stupid, the woman is smart, obligatory gay and now, trans narrative. Are we supposed to believe that a traditional, set in his ways man thought that being trans was cool? It went against the very nature of who they were trying to portray. It also felt a lot like Gran Torino. I loved the Mexican family and the attempts at suicide did not feel realistic. When Reuben grabbed him he just yanked away instead of realizing that the man was trying to connect with him. My favorite character, besides Mirasol was the cat. Not sure if he ever gave it a name.
Servant (2019)
Makes absolutely no sense!
Where is this going? The first season was intriguing and now it feels as though they just through things together that mean nothing. It just goes on and on without going anywhere. Every one of the characters are clueless and each episode feels redundant. More questions than answers. The biggest question is where did that baby come from? This latest episode was even more stupid. Bedbugs biting Dorothy and she says nothing when her husband comes in the room. The entire bedbug storyline came out of no where and the episode felt like nothing but filler. It's to the point where I'm not sure if it's worth watching anymore.
See for Me (2021)
One of the most unlikeable, obnoxious characters ever!
Let me start off by saying that I actually liked this movie because it had a lot of eerie and intense elements. But the leading actress was so unlikable it was hard to even feel sorry for her. She was rude to her mother, selfish and if you're to blame everyone else for all of her own issues. She takes these jobs robs the people that are paying her. Supposed to be watching after the cat goes outside to smoke a cigarette and then when she gets locked out leaves the door open after she comes in. Because she couldn't get back in immediately, started berating the person trying to help her on the phone.
The Strings (2020)
Extremely Boring
This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever suffered through. Nothing made any sense. What was the dark entity? Was she just imagining things? Don't waste your time.
Behind the Trees (2019)
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews!
My hubby and I are scary movie fanatics and while this film is certainly flawed, it was every, make my skin crawl and was downright scary. The child did a great job. I hope there's a sequel.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Enjoyed the series. Quick resolution and many questions but OK.
People really need to get a life. Looking over these reviews and the ridiculous reaction by most to what was an ending to a show for goodness sake's, all I could think about was the film adaptation of the Stephen King novel MISERY. Kathy Bates character in the movie was so upset with the ending of a book that she kidnapped the author and tortured him into rewriting the ending. That's what looking over these comments reminds me of.
