Wu who?
1 July 2023
Having never seen the series Wu assassin, I thought there would be a small explanation....but no. Anyway, the film starts and continues with Rap music....why? Why would you play this music in a martial artists story. The music loses the film 5 stars already. The acting was terrible as was the story. At first I thought it was a comedy, but I was cringing with the inane music and story. Why was there so much magic and supernatural powers everywhere.

You cannot make a film and expect your audience to know the story of the Wu Assassin.

A Fistful of Vengeance.....what a stupid title. Proof positive when you get the west involve with this kind of film, it bombs .

Why?
1 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I took interest in this film because of the storyline, it looked good.. I sat down and enjoyed it until 27 minutes in.

What happened 27 minutes in? The dialogue got stupid. Miller is stopped by two vice police and he finds that the bad cop who killed Miller's friend ten years ago pops up to tell him not to do anything stupid and tell people that he (the cop ) was part of the heist tha went wrong. He is taken to the police station where we find the mother of his child is also a cop.. He is let go and goes back to his friends shop (Rhames), who knows everything about what happened ten years ago, including the bad cop. Rhames's character is annoyed that he missed a job. And what does Miller say? Something came up I am sorry!!!!!!!

What, why did he not explain the situation to his friend. That's when I stopped watching, if four writers are not able to come up with something better than this then....time to go.

Dark, but no explanation.
28 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The script was average, but the actors , spot on.

The main problem with this film is that there is no explanation for the people in front of the train. Who are these drug infested people. Why does Wilford let them carry on doing useless things like having discos?

Don't tell me its a metaphor for society because it does not wash. Why would Wilford let these people on in the first place? They are not helping with the running of the train. Where as the people at the rear could help.

It clearly does not make sense that this brilliant man would let this happen. Feeding them protein, taking their children....why not have engineers etc on the train??

Melina Kanakaredes)
22 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First of all not explaining or showing why Melina's role was cancelled gives this episode a 1 star.

Second having the team making jokes over a dead body found in their office is truly disrespectful. ( Is this what the police are about ?).

Third Lindsey kills this man who on the very last episode of the last series shows us falling from a lighthouse into the sea, and he some how managed to travel back to NY in the same clothes, was able to get a gun and break into their apartment???? The writer/writers really must think people are stupid. Clearly by some of the reviews giving a ten rating, i guess they were correct.

The only reason i gave a one star was because you do not have a 1/2 star rating.

Total garbage.

Did not need zombies
16 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The prequel has great acting, cinematography, and action. But if you have already seen Army of the Dead, you know that whatever happens to Sebastian n this movie....he will get away.

Making the movie for the American market ( and the rest of the world ) there is the same old time explanation when the story is taken place in Europe. You HAVE to tell the American audience where Paris is. You have to tell them where Prague is. Its very boring. Like when Indiana Jones, who has to go to Europe in search of the Crusade. " I am going to Paris, France." If your flying to Europe you will not be going to Paris, Texas.

Lastly, If your going to rob a bank within a deadline, are you seriously going to tell a story of Wagner's rings, while all around police and bank guards are trying to find out what is going on.

No need for Zombies, a story of three bank vaults would have done.

Yawwn
8 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My first impression of the movie was, it looks like a remake of Looking for Mr. Goodbar of the 2020's.

When I saw that movie with Diane Keaton I felt then, the same way I felt now seeing this movie.

Why the hell would I sit thru this movie trying to feel sorry for the character.

The beginning shows her walking down the subway and someone following her. He offers her a light ( because when you are a smoker in movies, you never carry a lighter ) Then she proceeds to ask him to go together to a love hotel for sex!!!!

She then gets involved with a member of the Yakuza and again are we supposed to be sympathetic?

At the end of the day, how on earth did this movie get funded, about a woman giving it away free because she has some issues.

Jane Wick
12 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Alot of the reviews here said it was a John Wick rip off, correct. The acting is top notch, and there's a but..... All the men are baddies, the good ones are either dead or dying.

There is a car chase scene in an underground car park, where bullets flying all over. Surely the car park would have security cameras all over the place.

The city where the story takes place has NO crowds or people walking about. Yes, most of the action is done in the wee hours, but come on. The only people awake are the villains and the heroines.

Sorry there was one chef, ( what was he doing in the kitchen alone ).

Could have been a lot better.

Reading alot of reviiewers here , I cannot help but agree with them ( those who gave 5 and under ). So many holes in this movie.

1, When they go to kill John Kelly one of the killers kills one of his friends....but its never explained properly why.

2. When Kelly meets the senator in the bathroom, how does he get him out of there and into a SUV?

3. Undercover in Russia with two African Americans....well thoughted out.

With Remorse.......crap.

Warning: Spoilers
The Grapes of Wrath movie directed by John Ford tells it all.

In Dubious Battle shows us the great depression withe people working in rags and the women also thin , bedraggled and tired...............not if you look like Selena Gomez. Apparently if you looked like her during that time you can give birth, looking great after a few days, your clothes clean, no patches or torn. Hair looking great, no need to put it in a shawl.

Good to know.

Did'nt like the characters
11 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Both Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough, great acting. But the problem I did not like the characters. She's an immigration lawyer ( through out the film she seems to have money but does not work ). She gets dumped by her ex and then has sex with the first person she meets ( safe sex, AIDS ?? ). He is a part time DJ/ song writer, he is in his late 30s and he's a DJ.

Bothe characters seem to like to get drunk, take drugs and we are supposed to feel for them when they may lose out on being able to take care of Sebastian's son.

They decide the night before they are supposed to meet the son. To get drunk and take drugs.

PS There is a scene when Sebastians character is so drunk at a wedding, he gets so drunk and he proposes to the Chloe character. I have been to alot of weddings in my time and i have seen alot of drunks at weddings, and i have NEVER seen anyone get on stage a say something, very cringy.

Greeks aparently like Americans having a disco anywhere in Athens and setting fire to a couch....... NOT.

loopholes
2 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Although the film is generally entertaining, there is no time for the characters. For instance, Rosarios character Elezabeth Lamb. We are supposed to believe that after just one session, this honest person decides to join the crimminals within seconds. Its a giveaway that the character knows more than she knows. So, as the film progresses, the things that her character does is not surprising.

Also, Simon strangles the lady in the red car, when did he put her in the boot....in the middle of the day, how? After so many weeks the body is decomposing and nobody notices the smell? Even though its a long term car park?

Not well thought out.

Selfish
6 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, this story has been done before. But, given the era ( 1920's ), a womans role was still not a happy one. It beggars belief that Ewa did not know that Bruno was in love with her. It also beggars belief that she did not use this love to her advantage.

Let's come to the ending, we are led to believe that Ewa goes back to her auntie, and her auntie gives her the money to release Magda her sister. Come on.....the aunty gives the money, and will get the crap kicked out of her? Ewa ( we are led to believe in this movie ) is intelligent and does not know this will happen.

Throuout the entire film it shows how selfish Ewa really is....and gets what she wants in the end.

Russian Mafia...really
14 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Although the acting was top notch, the story goes beyond belief. Of all the clients that Marla had, only one person complained? And was'nt the judge suspicious at all?

Instead of killing the doctor, why did'nt the Russian mafia threaten her to sign off his mother out of the clinic?

Why was the lady cop intimidated by Fran, because they had a previous relationship, so what.

In an underground car park full of security cameras, Marla was able to subdue two people and kidnap another?? Please.

And the Russian mafia are so inept that they cannot get into a clinic to get an old woman, and they don't know they are being followed in the car.

The best oart of the movie was when marla got shot.

Warning: Spoilers
In the last twenty minutes of the film, it is showing 1943. Hans Taub is waiting to give Lilie her English lessons. He overhears her father in conversation with two men. The father says that his factory will be able to keep the output going.

Meaning that if Hans Taub did not say lies, the father would not be arrested.

Was Lilie a Nazi????

where are the cars
23 September 2021
The Fast and Furious franchise was about the cars. But all we are getting is xXx and FF trying to be James Bond. How many of these films are about saving the world. Its just too stupid. American cars appearing out of nowhere in the UK. Everyone from the group seems to have passports. And now there's a brother??

What next, will the next movie show Van Diesel's mother was actually Wonder Woman, and his father really did not die in the car crash but was transported to another dimension.

This was not Fast and it was not Furious , it was an embarrasment.

30 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not even half way into the story, and Delko and Wolf decide to remove the murdered body from the table, put a dummy and trick the pathologist into thinking the body had come alive by raising the table by remote control.

I don't understand , is this what CSI do, take a body of a murdered victim off the table to play a trick????? WTF. I stopped watching this episode at that part.

Totally crap screenplay. In some episodes you show CSI's with compassion, and in this one NOTHING.

Second episode of CSI Miami i stopped watching. Has not happened in CSI vegas and NY.

Not Really
27 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The last half hour of this film is totally boring. How can you hope that they get away with stealing a painting, when one of the gang kills a policewoman, and the rest of the gang knows this and they still follow. If we are supposed to have sympathy for the characters, well i don't. They all should be locked up.

The main character is poor living off the streets, does not steal, yet is able to buy expensive paints to do his graffiti. There is a scene where the Twist is in a swimming pool with Nancy in the middle of the night. They run away and in the next minute they are dry as a bone, because we all know London nights are very hot.

If this is supposed to be a feel good movie....it is....when it finished I felt good.

Please leave the building
16 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There are so many plot holes in this movie, why did these good actors agree to do this film. It is also morally wrong.

1. Cybil ( Courtney Cox ), meets Zane ( Kurt Russell ) and within five minutes they are screwing each other, with Cybils son watching.

2. Zane who has apparently just got out of jail, knows all about the electronics of the casino's elevator system.

3. The gang go thru the Casino opening locks with their drills, yet nobody sees them on the monitors.

4. zane seems to be intelligent, ( because of the elctronics knowledge ) yet the boy outwits him all the time.

5. For some reason Murphy ( Kevin Costner ) has a shoot out with a highway patrolman???????

6. So, the morel of the story is...It's ok to rob a casino, kill loads of innocent people , and then get away on a boat with stolen money. A great image for the little boy.

The stubborn woman who is not really interested in what her husband thinks. She is not a good mother-in-law. Because of her selfishness two families are destroyed so she can get what she wants.

of all the people
14 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Of all the people in the world, Sam Worthingtons, was chose to destroy John Connor. A murderer, who knew how to fix an old radio and tune into the right station. Then was able to start a car ( which presumably was left standing for well over 5 years ). Not only started it but the gas was clean and able to run smoothly.

John Conner listening to his mother on an old tape recorder, with all the technology was unable to transfer the cassette recordings to something better.

Well done. Very believable vision of the future.

Keep rewinding
8 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
If you see this film where you can rewind, then do it. Due to the bad editing it needs it. I am sure there is alot of film on the cutting room floor, which would explain the story better. Two come to mind.

1. Deakins come to find Jared Letos character out of the blue, the story does not give information as to how he came to the conclusion.

2. Near the end of the film, there is a flashback where the coroner ( Deakins ex wife ), we had to guess that one also. Deakins ex wife take a bullet out of the first victim, saying she died of stab wounds. No explanation why the bullet was Deakins.

The only reason I sat thru the whole film was the respect I have for Denzil Washington as an actor.......otherwise I would have switched off.

Flawed...very much so
4 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This film could have been a 9 or 10 star, it did'nt make it because questions are unanswered, the plot goes arawy. Look people who spent many hours watching movies, reading books, like to have questions answered. In this film there are many. Here are my top four. 1. Cravens daughter ( before she is shot ) is vomiting and has a nose bleed. Yet Craven ( who is a detective, ) never asks in the autopsy, to try and find out the cause. 2. The day after Craven hears his daughters cell phone and answers it, no one replies.....he does not even look at the cell to see who called or ring back. 3. When the friend of Craven's daughter has a secret rendevous in his car, she tells him certain things, and when she gets out, she is run over and the door of his car is ripped off. Yet the next day his car is ok????? 4. When Craven is tazered and taken to Northmoor, he escapes.....he escapes thru the tight security with no questions asked. Could have been better, if you did not treat your audience as fools.
