I loved this movie. First off I think Joseph Fiennes is a brilliant actor..and he is Very very very did I mention VERY HOT!! I thought he did a great job at portraying this character! He was mysterious, irresistible, made you a little afraid of him but yet so intrigued that you wanted more..I can see why Alice would be drawn to him...I would have been with him...over and over and over again! Anyhow I didn't see the ending as him leaving her...I got the picture that she left him. He still loved her and that was apparent to me. She even says at the end that maybe she couldn't handle a love that intense. He was obviously a very intense person with heavy emotions and in the end she realized that she couldn't live with that...in reality she did need someone more "normal" and less passionate. I love Joseph Fiennes anyhow but actually had never heard of this movie...I just happened to catch it on Showtime the other day actually and was glad I did..I thought it was a good movie.
