After Life (2019)
Brilliant, but the end is disappointing
Brilliant series: well written, good cast, funny, emotional, sometimes dark. Definitely recomendable. Pity the last chapter feels like a bad Hallmark drama. Still, I can't wait to see the 2nd season but I hope it doesn't feel like the last chapter of season 1.
After Life: Episode #1.6 (2019)
Last episode is really bad
Who wrote the last chapter? It doesn't fit with the rest of the series. The other 5 episodes made me laugh and cry, but the 6th one was really disappointing. It felt like a bad Hallmark children drama. Tony suddenly behaving like Santa Claus and spreading love and presents to everybody gave me the creeps. My blood sugar levels went too high. I hope the 2nd season doesn't look like this.
The OA (2016)
Surprising, weird, very enjoyable.
After the 5th episode I got hooked up with this series. Yeah, I know, that's a lot, but it was really worth it. The first 5 episodes were good though: good acting, slow pace (as I like it), mysterious atmosphere, it made me curious... and then it only got better and weirder. The 2nd season really blew my mind. I enjoyed every chapter: you just don't know what's going to happen and the story surprises you every time. So enjoyable!
There were supposed to be 5 seasons and Netflix decided to stop after the 2nd. Unbelievable. I hope the writers (Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, among others) publish a book or convince Netflix to keep on filming The OA, because it's one of the best series I've seen in a long time.
Homecoming (2018)
Good acting, entertaining, intriguing
This is a little jewel. Chapters last only 30 minutes, very stylish, good acting (Julia Roberts, Bobby Cannavale, Marie Jeanne Baptiste and all others), interesting plot... what a delight. Don't miss the end credits of the last chapter! ;)
