Is it because the main characters are Women or the Spider-Man is NOT in this??
19 March 2024
Why are people rating this 1??? Have they only ever seen 2 movies in their life? The production, music and acting deserves a point each at least surely??

I have rated home made zombie movvies higher than 1, if you think this is a 1, 2 or even 3 then you need to close your account as you do not belong on a movie site.

This is part of Marvel and not just made up charcters. But it looks like it won't be part of the movie Marvel Universe. It looked like it may have been planned to do more movies of this as there is quite big stories in the comics, however, I think this would of happened only if it had done well at the box office...which would of been fine by me.

I suspect though that this like Venom and Morbius it was made partly because Sony needs to release Spider-Man related movies to keep hold of the franchise.

Anyway, ignore the trolls as I think at worst this is a 5 rated movie. But I gave it a clear 6 and would happily watch a sequel. For me to rate anything 1 it would have sound bad enough not to hear half of it, a stupid script, very bad actors, hearing the director in the background, dreadful/annoying music, actors forgetting their lines ETC.

Enjoy.

Give it a chance
4 April 2023
Why do people watch 1 or half an episode of a remake and think oh so n so isn't in it from when I used to watch it 20 years ago so I'll rate it 1?

Why not actually watch a few episodes or even the whole series rather than rating a whole series on a couple of episodes?

I wasn't sure about this series as I thought it's gonna be same ol same ol thing from original series which wouldn't work this day and age, however, it is same but it still works. The characters and the story are engaging enough to make it work.

People are now realising this is a decent series as the episodes are all being rated in the 7's and even reaching the 8's at the end.

So enough of the premature low ratings and give new series a chance like this one as it's quite good.

Big ol flyin chunk of cheese
16 October 2022
I am old enough to remember the original (average) Top Gun movie coming out, old enough to not be able to remember all of what happened in it (That's how memorable it was lol), curious enough to check out the new Top Gun and wise enough to know what to expect from it.

Well, I got what I expected, which was a cheesy script, predictability, action and entertainment with some great actual in cockpit footage.

So switch off your brain and enjoy.

That's about it...wait is that not enough?...more characters required to submit review...ughhh. Blah blah blah lots....of.....dots....wait still more?...come on we don't that much to...oh wait that's enough...enjoy :D.

Rushed
19 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Hulk and She Hulk are me fave Marvel characters so I was looking forwards to this with all the advertising and hype I was ready and before I knew it it was over.

Little intro, suddenly she's in the car with Bruce, crashing and Hulking through the woods. Next its cartoon character fight scenes and then a super villain comes and goes.

Why have 30 minute rushed episode, surely it deserves a proper 1 hour intro.

What about Jennifer at work, leaving work, car accident, needing blood transfusion, search for donor, only Bruce available, Bruce not wanting to knowing what will happen, having to do it in the end to save her and then her going through the whole climatization?

What was that mess?? (Spoilers)
31 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode felt like the writers went home and left the actors to quickly improvise.

After the bombshell of last episode where Jefferson was killed by Tobias, the family are slightly upset and want revenge. Meanwhile there is some crazy story of the original Jen returning out of the sky claiming the current JJ is some sort of Alien imposter so they fight and Jen absorbs her or something.

Suddenly Jefferson is alive but in a grave which doesn't really surprise his family much according to their reactions. He is in a really bad mood, he smashes out of the grave after getting his powers back, rushes around to Tobais place and kicks his butt...why didn't do that in episode 1? The big build up with Chief Lopez comes to the for front when she takes meta enhancements and conveniently leaves the box on her desk for everyone to see. So what does she do with these powers? Well luckily there is a camera pointing right at her who some random investigator finds and they go to investigate only for original Jen to pop up and easily kick Lopez's butt. That is the end of her flat story.

Also no one is interested in where the new elected Mayor Tobias, the Pierces are all home having some lame party without showing us any reaction from the family to the sudden return of original Jen.

As for Khalil all of a sudden TC has found away to stop his killer side but it conveniently means he has to erase all memory of Pierce family so now he can have his own series without asking help from Lightning and co.

It all felt like they threw everything including the kitchen sink at this rushed episode and the kitchen sink broke. But no one wanted to clean up the pieces...what a mess.

Why I gave this 7 out of 10...or why I didn't give it 10 out of 10.
3 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Massive spoilers below.

I start each movie with 10 and deduct a point for each thing I don't like.

As a whole the movie is great, the CGI is brilliant as expected and plenty of action. The explanation of how Kong is so big now is fine and (Spoiler) when they get into the big battle Godzilla quite rightly well and truly whoops Kong's butt.

Now the 3 points which I didn't like.

1. The whole underworld thing, in itself would if made an interesting movie but didn't need to be in a Godzilla/Kong movie.

2. The Daughter of the family from previous Godzilla movie seemed to be just a token story which turned out to be a major part of the ending...too major. A bunch of bumbling fools (Spoiler) who infiltrate and hack a hight secure facility and pretty much decide the outcome of the movie is ridiculous.

3. (Spoiler) When Mecha-Godzilla arrives on the scene it is gigantic, it throws Godzilla around like a rag doll and Godzilla doesn't get a single blow or defensive move in. It's not until Kong returns and kicks it's butt that Godzilla is saved.

Surely it should of been a toe to toe epic even battle between Godzilla and Mecha that was swung into Godzilla's favour with some help from Kong?

Anyway 7 out of 10 is pretty good, gave the previous one 8.

Was OK
14 May 2020
I know i only gave it 4 out of 10 but for this genre that is not a bad score at all.

Would of liked it a bit longer as it was an interesting twist on the zombie genre although not original, otherwise it would of got a higher rating.

The summary pretty much tells the whole story so no need for me to do that and as for me saying its not original. Search for Dr Who Weeping Angels which 1st appeared back in 2007 and have popped up in a few episodes since then and you will see where this short movie's idea probably came from.

Zombie at 17 (2018 TV Movie)
4/10
Nice idea poorly executed.
14 May 2020
This feels like a TV movie crossed with iZombie without the comedy and nowhere near as good...however the script is a joke.

Basically a girl has been infected and is slowly turning into a zombie, the hit-and-run part of the story mentioned in the summary is a very small part of it.

This girl is at school with what looks like bruised eyes and no one notices or mentions it including her Mum.

Also, there is a murder, the alibis given are so lame and the evidence given to the Detective clearly gives them an obvious number 1 suspect but the Detective is so dumb she just can't see it. The mention of zombies doesn't seem to surprise anyone like its something common but at the same time they don't seem to know anything about zombies even though someone is seen watching Night of the Living Dead on TV.

The script is immature, the characters are dumb and their reactions to what is happening is a joke. I'm not sure if the actors just could not bring the script to life, the script was just unworkable (even if that's not even a work you know what I mean lol) or the director screwed up.

However, after watching over a 1000 zombie movies this was a little different, the overall idea was quite good but was poorly executed and it could have been so much better.

It's watchable if you ignore the plot holes but you would be better off watching Warm Bodies (2013) or Contracted (2013)

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)
7/10
Night King, White Walkers and Dragons
20 May 2019
It was pretty much half way through season 7 when I started watching Game of Thrones. I binge watched from Season 1 and by the time I hade finished season 7 the season had finished a few months before and I had to wait a while for the final season but not as long as those who had watched it at the time it was broadcast.

So it was all still reasonable fresh for me at this point, I had struggled with early seasons, it seemed to drag and was filled with nudity, sex scenes and even some keep it in the family to try and keep peoples interest. We got to know some characters as they developed through the early seasons and then they were killed off.

The main characters shone through and stayed with us, the pace and story picked up and by the time the White Walkers arrived...(After hearing people talk about The White Walkers, that is the time I decided to watch)...I was then hooked. However at the end of season 7 had us wondering who had survived the attack on the wall.

Season 8 had everyone safe and well in a castle...what A total anti-climax. Even though these episodes were long it still all seemed rushed, then came the big battle...and what a battle it was...the longest battle ever seen on the small and big screen. People moaned about the episode like they expected a psychological thriller with lots of chit chat, we all knew it was coming shesssh.

About that battle, it was indeed epic, if you could see it through the darkness, I set the brightness to full so the Months of filming wasn't wasted and I could see again but then they brought in the fog like they didn't want us to see and we saw glimpses of why as the CGI was not the 10 million Dollars worth they claimed to have spent on it. That said it was epic and worth the watch.

The next episode was a famous one...for The coffee cup. :D The penultimate episode pretty much made up our minds who we wanted to sit on the iron throne. Those who voted this 5 or below are trolls, they try to stand out and buck the trend but end up looking stupid. However this is far from a 10 too.

Just to end I enjoyed the series, especially the White Walkers, The Night King and the mighty Dragons. Maybe the ending wasn't one we chose or wanted but then again if it was it would be condemned for being predictable. I liked the twist and I wont loose any sleep over it.

P.S Hope the spin off revolves around the Night King and the White Walkers.

Star Wars: Attack of the Trolls
10 September 2018
When you look through the reviews you will see a bunch of people voting this just 1 all together one after the other, and then a bit further on similar reviews with similar titles all voting it 2 all of which are not just Trolls but idiots. Once upon a time not long ago in IMDb you would get a troll voting someone which is clearly good 1 out of 10 and they got a reaction back, then it got to the point where a old were voting stuff 1 trying to stand out and buck the trend but they jut made themselves look stupid. Anyone who voted this below 5 should be ignored and anyone who voted this above 8 was probably involved with the movie.

This movie ticks all the boxes as far as Star Wars goes with the characters, action scenes, effects, story, aliens ETC. It also has some decent cast and well known faces. So what went wrong? Why is this movie a flop? Maybe too much focus on lesser characters? Maybe needed young CGI version of Harrison Ford like they did with actors in the Ant-Man movies? Maybe Jedi's and epic light saber battled is what draws people in? Maybe the answer is the Han Solo story isn't interesting enough or perhaps and most likely it is one Star Wars movie too many and too soon?

We did have the arrival of Chewie, Lando and the Millennium Falcon but it didn't seem to be enough, plus it did tie up some ends and link to some of the other movies, it also had long some what complicated storys as did most of the other Star Wars movies.

I recently watched the Star Wars franchise again recently, including some unofficial entries which I have rated out of 10 below.

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) (8) Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) (7) Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) (7) Star Wars: Droids (1985) (TV Series) (3) Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) (8) Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) (7) Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) (7) Star Wars: Revelations (2005) (5) Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) (TV Series) (7) Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) (7) Star Wars: Wrath of the Mandalorian (2008) (3) Star Wars Downunder (2013) (Short) (6) Star Wars Rebels (2014) (TV Series) (6) Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) (7) Rogue One (2016) (7) Exile: A Star Wars Story (2016) (3) Star Wars: Emergence (2016) (Short) (4) Star Wars: Hoshino (2016) (Short) (4) Rebellion: A Star Wars Story (2016) (Short) (4) Han Solo: A Smuggler's Trade (2016) (5) Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) (7) Scout: A Star Wars Story (2017) (Short) (4) Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) (6) Star Wars: Underworld (TV Series) (?) Star Wars: Episode IX (2019) (?)

The original Star Wars will be near the top apart from the bad acting but it was surpassed in my opinion by The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens was billed as the big comeback with all the old cast which is why it did so well but didn't jump anywhere near the top of the franchise. Rogue One I enjoyed slightly more and Last Jedi even though was all rated similar but it didn't hit the mark as much as I hoped.

I think all of the future Star Wars movies will be good but will never reach the standard of the 1st entry of the 1st and 2nd trilogy. Back to this movie, I would of enjoyed it more with the CGI young Harrison or even a closer looking actor...check Out the Han Solo: A Smuggler's Trade short movie on YouTube...Jamie Costa who plays Han in that movie looks a lot like Harrison.

It was the worst Star Wars movie so far...(even thought this is a spin off) but it was still good.

Was God Particle, now Cloverfield Paradox & not that bad at all.
7 February 2018
I saw a while ago in the list of J.J. Abrams future projects was a movie called God Particle and a as then unnamed Cloverfield project. I was notified the other day that a new Cloverfield movie was already out so I checked it out as I wasn't expecting one yet. It turns out that while making the God Particle movie at some point they decided that it was going to be the next Cloverfield movie. Whether they felt the story wasn't going as planned or it was too good to be this low-ish budget movie called God Particle or it wasn't good enough and wanted to add the Cloverfield name to it to boost it or they just couldn't get together a decent plot for the next Cloverfield movie and decided to use this one or some other idea but whatever they thought and maybe we wont find out the truth behind it they decided God Particle is now The Cloverfield Paradox the 3rd so called Cloverfield movie.

The original God Particle movie sounded quite good with Russia and America at war which a group of American astronauts are in space find themselves being contacted by some Russians as they discover Earth has in fact disappeared. This was all done with around a $10,000,000 budget until they decided to use part of this story with extra scenes added to make it into the 3rd Cloverfield movie. When completed I read the budget was now around $45,000,000 and they felt it would be hard to get that money back through box office takings so they decided to sell it to Netflix. After reading the bad reviews which were mainly about the script and then watching it and reading the background of the movie I can see why people thought it was a bit of a mess

I wasn't expecting much from this movie after reading those reviews but was hoping it was going to be better than what most people said. I was happy to say it was OK, in fact better than OK as in the end I rated it 7 out of 10 which is the same as I rated the original Cloverfield and more than the 6 I gave 10 Cloverfield Lane which I felt was over long and so slow paced that I was struggling to give it more than a 5 rating until the last 10 minutes which boosted it to a 6 in the end. I thought The Cloverfield Paradox a decent sci-fi, with a good cast, good acting, likable characters, plenty of action, some nice humour in it especially from Chris O'Dowd, good effects for the budget and not a bad story considering its background and how it came about. Plus it seems to kind of explain a bit more of how the original Cloverfield movie came about.

Apparently the next Cloverfield installment is entitled Overlord or at least it is listed as that at the moment and at the time of me writing this it is already completed. Lets hope it is more of the original Cloverfield, without the found footage theme and with a lot more Monster/Alien action. :)

I don't care what it was based on, just take it as it is.
28 July 2016
Lots of fake reviews which is plain to see and an all too common event here on IMDb. Lol about time they realized that opening an account, reviewing one movie and giving it a massive big up only makes them look desperate.

However one poster on the message board was shot down for mentioning I am Legend, but he was correct to mention it as it was the name of the book plus someone else said that I Am Legend was a copy of Omega Man making you think that was the original movie of the story from the book. but failed to mention Omega Man could be described as a copy of Last Man On Earth which was before Omega Man and also based on the I Am Legend Book.

Some people need to move on and stop clinging to the past, when a movie gets old it doesn't always mean it is a classic. Some movies do stand the test of time granted but not all. Some just do not age well. The 1st/original isn't always the best as mentioned before Omega Man seems to be the one people mention rather than Last Man on Earth.

IMHO Omega Man wasn't that special, just above average, as was this and the Asylum version I Am Omega which I thought was better than its IMDb rating by a long way, but when people see the name Asylum attached to a movie that automatically rate it down. Asylum do have a eye for making good zombie though;). The Z Nation series is a good and successful example. Season 1 of Z Nation I found more entertaining than season 5 of The Walking Dead.

Anyway, I gave most of the movies mentioned above a similar rating of 6 with Last Man an average 5 and Legend was slightly better than the rest with a 7. Last Man on Earth seemed to drag like a 2 hour movie even though it was lest than 90 minutes.

Yeah I know this isn't much of a review of the movie but it seems if anyone likes this movie they will always get shot down as being someone involved with it due to the dumb people involved with movies making blatantly biased reviews.

I found the lead male actor was good when being bad ass, otherwise wasn't a very interesting character. The woman with the doll I think would of made a better lead female role. There was plenty of action, some nice infected people make-up but story could of been expanded and less based around one area. Had a promising start, a decent mid story which wasn't really followed to it's maximum and a bit of a lame ending.

Would of been nice to see a flash back or a mention of how it all started too but over all I have seen a lot worse with a lot higher budget and this is one of the better ones in this genre. But yeah still just above average overall.

Last Man on Earth 5/10 (IMDb 7/10). The Omega Man 6/10 (IMDb 6.6/10). I Am Legend 7/10 (IMDb 7.2/10). I Am Omega 6/10 (IMDb 3.3/10). Daylight's End 6/10 (IMDb 5.5/10). I Am Legend 2 (Now known as Untitled I Am Legend Reboot ?/10.

Half Naked Women, Aliens and Zombies
2 August 2014
This follows Dead Country which had a space ship explode and infect the population with an alien virus that turns people into zombies. There wasn't much of a story, lots of women in their underwear mixed in with some random scenes.

This one continues in a similar way but also features a half man, half alien and all zombie this time, and again some random scenes thrown in with some lame action. There are more women in this time and with less clothes on, even one full frontal.

Both this and it's prequel have bad acting and awful sound and if the budgets are right 1,000,000 and 300,000 then i don't know what they spent it on. I suspect they are incorrect.

Dead country i gave 2 for the women and this one (Deader Country) i gave 3 again for the women. The rest of the movie was awful. If they make a 3rd one they might as well make it a porno. ;)

Little confusing, sometimes dull but plenty of gore and blood
28 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
An archaeologist discovers an ancient artifact and scroll which starts a series of events that kills her several times over in various time periods, past lives and locations. It seems that the artifact and scroll are linked to a gateway to hell. Various hellish creatures pour in throughout history, it looks like the gateway has been opened. The archaeologist teams up with warriors and guides from the past to try and close the gate.

The plot is sometimes confusing, sometimes boring, if this had been tidied up it would have been a much better movie. The effects are sometimes good and sometimes below average, the acting is up and down again sometimes good and sometimes below average. You do get some half decent battles, plenty or gore and blood splattering which makes this movie at worse average to better than average but could have been so much more better.

I'm not quite sure why there have not been any more reviews or comments on this movie at the time of me writing this as the movie has been out a couple of years. Overall I have seen quite a bit better in this genre and a hell of a lot worse too and after all the searching and watching of movies like this it is getting harder to find and more good ones to watch so after 600+ it was a nice surprise to find this seemingly forgotten effort.

Avatar (2009)
10/10
Ignore the idiot haters, this is magnificent.
4 June 2014
Those people who are saying worst movie, bad movie, 1 star movie etc are the trolls who want to buck the trend or want to stand out, but there are getting some many trolls who just want to start an argument in the forums they just look stupid now and it is getting very old.

Avatar is amazing, yes it is a science fiction fantasy movie so the stories usually are not that complicated and it is very hard to come up with an original story. You can pretty much link nearly every movie in one way or another if you are that anal about it.

What this movie is is visually stunning like nothing you have ever seen before, using ground breaking effects that had never been used before at the time and not many have surpassed it's technology since apart from maybe Tron: Legacy (2010) special effects.

Yes this movie is top grossing movie but then again ticket prices are still rising and even with inflation adjustments it is still well in the list of top movies ever. You need to compare this movies success with movie that wee around at the same time and the movies since and you will see none has come even close to the success this has had, so it is clearly an awesome and very successful movie.

Word gets around quickly when a movie is not up to expectations or is bad and people stay away from the cinema but they kept going and going with this one and after you have watched a movie like this and you can't get it out of your head, you want to tell everyone about it and you want everyone to see it, then you know it has had a big impact on you in a very good way.

I was totally engrossed in this, is is so beautiful and gorgeous to watch, the Na'vi's and Avatars look superb, Pandora looked so beautiful and i totally fell in love with Neytiri even though she is blue and 10 foot tall lol, she is absolutely gorgeous.

I can't wait for the prequel and the 2 sequels, i heard James Cameron has been waiting for the special effect technology to advance to be able to do what he has planned, so it is going to be amazing. Avatar's story is simple enough for the younger viewer to enjoy and is enough to hold the attention for adults too.

Anyway, i am not going to tell you the story of the movie as it has been told many times, i just wanted to say how ridiculous the haters are just hating for the sake of it and to let people know, though those with half a brain will already know that this is an amazing movie and of all the thousands and thousands of movies i have seen only a dozen have i rated a full 10 out of 10 and this is one of them and sits firmly in my top 10 best movies of all time.

Predator Island (2005 Video)
3/10
Those saying worst movie ever, let's see your movie so i can compare it. ;)
27 March 2014
Six people head out on a weekend boat trip. When a meteor crash creates a storm they end up stranded on a remote island and the only other people in the island is a lighthouse keeper and his wife and dangerous alien creatures created by the meteor. The group have to fight for their lives against the evil creatures.

OK this is a science fiction/horror so the above story is fine.

The actors have only done this or one or two other movie so i wasn't expecting great acting and at most time its average but no surprise there.

The effects are as basic as it gets.

Men in rubber suits (Aliens) are OK for what it is.

A lot of it was filmed in the dark so you couldn't see much of what was happening, why filming anything if no one can see it?

There is a random scene where 2 girls kiss each other.

There isn't the usual lot of female skin on display, in these movies they usually add some topless women to keep people interested. We only had a small bikini shot.

There isn't much gore.

The editing was a bit random.

The film quality was OK.

The sound was average.

The most annoying thing about this movie is the people who immediately spout out that this is the worst movie ever. I must have seen over 100 message boards with that comment lol. People tend to exaggerate especially if they have paid out money to watch it and storm to the message boards in a rage about spending their $1.50 on the DVD they didn't like. But thats what you get from impulse buying, we have so many ways of checking out a movie nowadays before actually buying it and with a movie like this all you have to do is check out the cast listing and see its not going to be a blockbuster especially if its reasonably new movie and it's in the bargain basket.

Overall yes this is bad movie if you want to compare it to something like Predator which is a good one to compare with as they both have predator in the title :p and Predator has exactly 100 time the budget of this movie. Taking that into account and the people's experience in making movies working on this, it wasn't too bad and definitely NOT the worst movie ever. So my advice is to think about what you are watching before you make yourself look stupid by posting such bold statements especially when you don't explain why you think it is the worst ever. It just makes it a pointless post.

Anyway its best to check this movie out when it's on TV or grab it at a pound shop, or dime store or whatever those places are called because at best this is average, unless you was involved in it then it was brilliant lol. I gave at a below average of 3/10 and definitely not a 1/10.

10 = Excellent 5 = Average 1 = Awful

As visually stunning as the 1st
26 March 2014
If 10 is excellent and 1 is awful then 5 must be average so disregard the reviewers who gave this movie 1/10, they just make themselves look stupid as this is obviously not a 1/10 movie by any means. Think about it by giving it 1/10 you are saying it is one of the worst movie ever??? At worse this has to be average or above even out of this genre let alone within it.

Story wise it is not exactly a sequel to the 1st 300 movie even thought it was made after it, it is in fact a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Salamis and takes place before, during, and after the events of the 1st film.

I'm not a fan of this genre but i was entertained by the original 300 movie i was also entertained by this movie too, yes the 1st had the originality about it and the freshness, of course it did, it was the 1st. This series of movies will probably be a trilogy and as with all trilogies the 2nd is usually the least entertaining only serving us with more of the 1st and/or developing characters from the 1st then following it up with the thrilling climax in the 3rd movie.

Having watched many movies i knew what to expect from this and got exactly what i expected. What made the 1st 300 movie was how visually stunning it was and this continued to be stunning, maybe even more so with the challenge of the big action scenes on water. There is plenty of battles, interesting characters, slow motion scenes, blood, action, a load of bare chested men with 6 packs (If you like that sort of thing) and the gorgeous (and for a little while topless) Eva Green. Not boring or dull at all.

More Zombies (Well...kinda) than Motocross in this below average film
25 March 2014
At the time of me doing this review there are 7 reviews, 4 gave it 1/10, 1 gave it 9/10 and 1 gave it 10/10 lol Here is a proper review with realistic rating.

Couple of guys and a girl go to a motocross meeting to compete, they discover one team isn't what they seem to be and they end up fighting for their lives. Thats basically it.

I only watched this for the zombies which were acceptable, i have seen a lot worse, i didn't watch it for the motocross which is just as well as what we did see was pretty lame and most of the action took place away from the track.

There is a lot of what seemed to be made up as they went along chatter, the sound wasn't good as you could hardly hear what they were saying some of the time and if the volume was high enough to hear you got deafened when any music was played and if any bikes were being ridden. Talking of the music there were some rock tracks which were fine.

To be fair considering what they had to work with and the budget it was OK, i have seen a LOT worse than this with lot higher budgets so its definitely not a 1/10 or 10/10 movie but it is below average so 2 to 4 out of 10 would be more realistic.

Overall its a movie worth checking out only if you want to for a specific reason, my reason was because i want to watch every zombie/infected movie ever made. lol and grab it if its in bargain basket or its being shown free on TV spend your hard earned money on something more worthwhile.

Dull
22 March 2014
There were a lot of things wrong with this movie which most people have covered already plus there was some fresh and interesting things about this movie which made it a little different to most of the other movies in this genre, however, it was just too slow and dull plus the leading actress was dull too which didn't help, she seem to do everything in slow motion. Surely of all the people in this movie one of them could have done the lead role with a bit of enthusiasm. But then again i think she may have been the directors partner which is why she got the part. Even quite a bit of female full frontal nudity didn't save this although that and the potentially interesting story are the reason i gave it as much as 2/10. I know it was ultra low budget but low budget doesn't mean making the star so bland.

She was even naked when they did a tour of the place they filmed it in in the DVD extras lol. The Director still had the angel feathers which was featured at the beginning of the movie in some random scene and mentioned he was surprising the wings had survived after all this time, then his cat was patting the feathers as he walked away from the cam. Talking of which, i think his cat in the extras was more interesting than the movie. lol

This movie is only for those who wish to add a zombie/infected movie to her/his collection which is why i watched it.

Zombie Dawn (2011)
7/10
Been a while since i seen a good one of these in my long search to watch all Zombie/Infected Movies :)
12 March 2014
Two reviews as i type this so far, one says trash the other says better then expected and i 100% agree with the latter.

After seeing the budget which seems crazy low i wasn't expecting a lot, then the thrilling opening scene and the gun fire effects as someone else also mentioned before caught my attention straight away.

The movie kinda stalls part way through with bickering amongst the soldiers being the main story then but it was still very entertaining and one of the better zombie/infected movies.

I would like to see a prequel and/or a sequel to this as i think they could have gone deeper into the story and studied the origins of the outbreak in more detail.

So over all this was a nice surprise just when i thought i had seen all of the best Zombie/Infected movies.

Blood, Naked women and a zombie
5 March 2014
A cowboy and a female mechanic go in search of a Zombie/Infected guy who seems to like killing nude identical twin females.

Story is different, the acting is average, the special effects are above average, in fact some of the effects are quite good especially considering the low budget. You will get some decent dialog (but the chatter does get a bit boring after a while), bit of action, plenty of blood and gore and plenty of full frontal nudity (Allthough about half way through the nudity did dry up a bit even when there was still plenty of opportunity to show some especially when the women were showering, getting ready for bed or having a bath).

There seem to be a lot of the cast in this movie not listed on IMDb, not sure if they couldn't be bothered or didn't want them listed, anyway i have submitted their names to be listed. ;) Even though all of the twins in this movie are played by the same actress in each case there are still quite a few that aren't listed.

Overall considering the experience these people had in movie making and what they had to work with it wasn't too bad. It turned out better than i expected but then again i was expecting it to be REALLY awful, it just needed to be 20 minutes or so shorter.

I have seen a lot worse with much higher budget but not a lot better with similar budget.

Even with some frustrating & lame characters, overall this is a good movie
2 January 2014
I have to say i didn't quite know what to expect with this movie, especially after seeing how low the budget was, but i was pleasantly surprised. I have seen a lot higher budgeted movies in this genre that have been dreadful.

The make up was real good, i thought the cast was fine, the story was good, good enough for sequel or prequel maybe. It kinda felt at the end it could have been a prequel for another well known movie in this genre which i saw someone else mentioned.

In the end i felt sorry for the main character but then again i felt frustrated too that the people around her didn't help at all, especially the annoying Doctor and i see a lot of messages about the Doctor in the message boards too, he was useless. Mind you she didn't really help herself either. Plus her Mum was weak and lame.

Even with those frustrations and especially with such a relatively unknown cast and tiny budget i thought this movie was really good. There have been a couple of similar movies where we follow someone who is slowly becoming over come with their infection but this was one of the best.

Dreadful
8 December 2013
I guess the other reviews are the cast.

Found myself reaching for the FF button, it wasn't even slightly funny unless you are 12 yr old.

I watched it as it was in the list of zombie movies and i wanted to add this to my lists of zombie movies. The 1st hour and 15 minutes could have been cut and it would still of been too long. There was the usual flash of breasts and a little blood, its just a shame the zombies didn't arrive sooner and kill everyone.

All the characters were annoying, the story was stupid and unfunny, the acting...well they did their best with the trash they was given but the production, sound and music was fine, thats the only reason i gave it 2 stars. The rest of it was lame.

Not surprised it was a flop.

Avoid!

Smallville (2001–2017)
10/10
One of the best...ever!
30 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
When i was writing a review about The Incredible Hulk TV series, i was thinking about the great American drama/science fiction/fantasy series there had been. Along with the Hulk, there was The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman TV series in the 70's, then there was a bit of a lull in the 80's. Yeah there was Knight Rider and Airwolf and a few others but not quite up there and in the 90's there was X-Files and the wonderful Lois and Clark. In the 00's with all the channels and programs to watch it is hard for any to stand out. But a few did, Lost, The Walking Dead and....

...Smallville.

An awesome series that shouldn't work, we all know the story of Superman but this series still entertained us for 10 years, showing in great detail Clark growing up to become one of the if not the most well known Super Hero of all time.

Every episode had its own little story as well as the bigger story running through the whole series as well as keeping us in suspense with questions like, when or who will find out who Clark is? when he will meet Lois? when will they get together? when will Lois found out who he is? when will he fly? when will he be known as Super Man? when will he don the famous outfit and many more.

Also throw in plot twists and a great cast, people new to us and famous people all fitting well in their characters well, making them believable, characters for us to love, hate and all in between and just have to mention Laura Vandervoort who played Super Girl in this series, she is gorgeous. :) It must have been hard to try and come up with stories of things and people who would threaten our hero and his friends but they managed it over and over again with the help of these great characters, cast and writers.

What made it extra special was the actors and actresses that were brought into the series that have already have connections with Superman. Like Teri Hatcher playing Lois's Mother after playing Lois in the Lois and Clark series, Helen Slater popping up in the same episode as Clarks real Mother after playing Super Girl in a movie in the 80's and of course maybe the most famous man connected with Superman, the late great Christopher Reeve who made several appearances.

Drama, mystery, fun, love, plot twists, science fiction, fantasy this series has it all. Entertaining right from the 1st episode to the brilliant finale.

Absolutely brilliant.

Long may they bring us programs like this.

The Walking Dead (2010–2022)

Brilliant
9 June 2013
I am a big fan or horror and zombie movies so i had to watch this and i am so glad i did. I haven't been so engrossed in a TV series like this since Lost. In some ways it is similar to Lost, where each episode throws up some questions, the next episode answers some of them and then throws up a bunch more, add whole lot of plot twists, some great characters and you got yourself a great series. This time they attached it all to an apocalyptic living dead thriller and it made it brilliant TV. Add in some movie quality special effects, great locations and plenty of action.

Just a couple of things let it down a little, when they killed the Walkers they kinda sliced up real quick and easy, they could have made it a bit harder. Im sure you can't just slice a skull one handed with a sword that easy and Rick going a bit loopy, seeing and hearing things could have been left out of it.

Overall if you like this type of thing you are going to love this, each episode leaves you wanting the next one straight away. There is always something to keep you interested throughout each and every episode with the action, horror, relationships, family, drama, love it has it all.

This is so easy to give it 10 stars. Long may talented people like the people who were involved with making this and the Lost series continue to do so. Absolutely brilliant!
