The Loner (2019)
Solid Gangster Short
The story is compelling and the cast is superb. Kris Salvi has proven over and over again he can make you feel for the bad guy. Check it out!
Cleaner (2020)
Star Crossed Love
Kris Salvi is a master of crime genre short fiction. Cleaner is a gripping period piece drama about two star crossed lovers set in 1970s New England. I had the benefit of being a part of this production and I was impressed with not only the story, but also the cohesiveness of the finished product. This is a short film you will not want to miss out on.
Downsizing (2017)
Ending Made Me Cry
This is not a traditional blockbuster. Nor is it your typical screenplay. I was more than 1/3 of the way in trying to figure out what the hero's external and internal conflicts were. But it was worth the wait. It's a very beautiful story about finding your purpose. If you're into stories that take their time and give you a lot to think about along the way you'll like this movie. If you want instant gratification and all the plot points hand fed to you-it's not for you. The acting was solid, and there's humor. All in all-a good story with a deep message. Give it a shot.
Extinction (2018)
I'm so glad I ignored the critics
I'm pretty sure most movie goers are just jaded these days. The movie was great. The plot was slow but for good reason. There is basically one twist after another and each one better than the last. There are some nods to other films of the genre but it is definitely it's own invention. Unique, well acted, visually exciting, and edge of your seat action. How much more can you ask for? If you really are a fan of sci-fi, you'll appreciate this film.
2 Broke Girls (2011)
Love it!
So many negative reviews..must be a bunch of hipster wannabe's who forgot how to laugh! I LOVE this show. The plot works and the acting chemistry is excellent. This IMO is a show you need to watch from the beginning so you can get the full impact of how adorable their friendship really is. There are some crude jokes but there is a lot of heart too. This show is about trust, following your dreams, not letting money define you and those are all things I'm grateful a major sitcom has the balls to promote. The supporting characters are lol funny-but again, it's important to start at the beginning. I think if I flipped on the TV without knowing the backstory I might find some of them too over the top. Times have changed in TV land-this is definitely not some slicked out Glee or New Girl. This is an old school styled, we'll acted, well written humor driven show in the same vein as That 70's Show or Married With Children. Give it a chance :)
