A Indie Film to Remember
9 October 2016
A simple movie with a simple story, the reason why it works so incredibly well is the film understands what it is and uses it to the best it can be, and that is very good. The film is lead by an outstanding (and I mean outstanding) by Charlie Plummer who plays the title role Jack. The other actors Cory Nichols, Christian Madsen and Danny Flaherty are also very compelling in their roles. Written and directed very well by Felix Thompson, it explores the brutal ways of a young boy going through bullying, family troubles and having to deal with discovering who he is also with trying to take care of his younger. A surprisingly gritty movie that shows the real trouble that neglect and misunderstanding can do to young people and it captured wonderfully by Thompson and Plummer. The movie also shows that kids can be really cruel and their are a view scenes that are very sad and painful to watch that hit you right in the heart. A truly amazing film and definitely a gem of an indie film.

A True Masterpiece of a Film
6 September 2016
One of Stanley Kubrick's best. Alex DeLarge is my favorite character in cinematic history. The film takes such an ugly idea of a young man and he's goons spending their free time drinking drug filled milk, beating up homeless men and breaking into peoples house and doing some very ungentlemanly acts; and then still not being able to get to school the next day. That idea is then filled with some amazing cinematography, brilliant music, dark humor and an unconventionally likable main character that it becomes a masterpiece. Also the way they speak in just awesome. It is a serious mind-flip of a film but I love it and if you are fan of strange films, you should definitely check this one out.

Goofy yet Enjoyable
3 July 2016
I have a very personal connection with this movie, this was the absolute first horror movie. I liked the actors and wanted I start with something not too scary, which looking at it now as a very big horror person is a problem, not very scary. I do like the characters very much and I'm sorry but I find Jesse Eisenberg very attractive in this movie. I like the funny elements in this film and the side characters are very enjoyable as well. I do feel this movie could have pushed the limit a little bit more and been a bit more violent or gruesome, for a Wes Craven movie I thought they were kind of playing it safe. Still I enjoyed the end and I really enjoyed how Eisenberg's and Ricci's got super confident in themselves was a good touch. All in all it is not a great but it is enjoyable

Amazing Characters, Brilliant Action and a Tremendous Story
23 April 2016
Remember remember the fifth of November When I first watched V for Vendetta I didn't know much about it. However I have always had a fascination with darker comic book movies such as The Crow and some of the Batman's. I am going start by saying that the character of V played brilliantly by Hugo Weaving is one of those characters that will be remembered and is an instance classic. This in truth is 1 of my favourite Natalie Portman performances, she is just so full of determination and curiosity and it's infectious. The scene where V and Evey first meat is truly tremendous. V saves Evey from some men trying to rough her up, she does hold her ground, V shows off some kick ass moves and a very versatile vocabulary (see what I did there). One of favourite things about V is he is an antihero yet he still views himself as a sort of freedom fighter who is standing up for the opposing government. The reason why I love this movie so much is the true determination to do what is right and the casualties that had to happen. V was a broken body but a free soul that wanted to make a difference and he did so. Was everything planned, I don't know but all I know is this movie is a must watch and truly is amazing
