Benchwarmers 2: Breaking Balls (2019)
Why?
The only question I could ask myself throughout this movie is "Why?" Just why? Zero connection the original movie except one person that didn't even have the same role. The jokes were dry and meshed together in such a disturbing way. I promise you that there is always going to be something better to watch than this movie. The 2 stars are for the title.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
The Justice League We Needed
Incredible film adaptation that was finally able to make it to the "big screen". You get everything that was missing in the original Justice League movie (plot, backstory, good CGI, impressive dialogue, and hope for the DC Universe) and then so much more. The action scenes were incredibly done and intense. After a while, those slow shots get very repetitive and tedious, though. Besides that, it was very well done and something that everyone should be excited about. Fantastic job!
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Every second counted
To start off, this movie is beyond perfect and incredible. The longevity seems troubling at first, but I can promise that they used every second of those three hours beautifully. When you thought 22 movies would have given the audience enough character development, then treated us to plenty more fulfilling story lines that guided us through the way to the end. Going on that note, if you haven't seen all of the movies, if you aren't a true fan, and if you're just going to this movie for the action, why waste your time? It will still be an incredible ride, but in order to get the best experience possible, you have to have that emotional connection and dedication. This movie will make it worth it all.
Before seeing the movie, I was introduced to a few possible spoilers that ended up being true. Even if I knew for a fact that they were true, nothing can prepare you for the gut wrenching and beautiful moments that were captured.
I absolutely recommend everyone to go through the marvel experience and see how these 11 years leaded up to one of the most amazing movie franchises in history.
Fargo (2014)
One of the greatest shows of all time
I am a huge fan of the Fargo franchise. The movie was phenomenal and I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started to watch the TV show. Let's start with the first season. Great cast, amazing writing, and there was always something going on. There was so much characterization and it all flowed so perfectly. Martin Freeman was incredible playing the shy, done with life insurance salesman. And Billy Bob Thorton as one of the most interesting characters the Noah Hawley has created. The first season so good leading to the second, and I loved how it flowed with the movie. Maybe a few dull parts but I give it a 9.1/10. I'd say it was very underrated. As great as the first season was, it paled in comparison to the second. The second is a must see for everyone who watched TV. One of the best pieces of writing ever done. It is about a great story about feuds between a mafia, couple, and the police. It escalates every episode and the acting was incredible. There are a lot of familiar faces and seeing all of them at one of their best is great to see. It was really great how it went with the first season as well. Overall, this is one of the best shows that has ever been on television. It is very deserving of being in the top 10 greatest shows and very entertaining for anyone.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Good movie with big flaws
I went into this movie thinking it was going to be very good. I have watched a few of Zack Snyders movies before like "Watchmen". I was really excited to see what he was going to do cinematography wise and see how dark he would go.
The movie starts out with action right of the bat (no pun intended). There was a lot of back story going into the film and you really have to be watching the screen at all times or else you might miss something. Some flaws that I had with the movie was that it had so many story lines and back stories for people watching it to handle. I can't even count how many different story lines there were. If I were to guess, maybe 7. That is fine when you have a 3 hour movie, but it ruins the flow of the movie. I think it even forgot to finish some of the plot points. The movie jumped quickly between parts and it did have a consistent flow. For example, the spray paint on that Robin statue wasn't explained. It literally just showed it once in the trailer then left it at that the entire movie. There were just so many story changes. Another flaw I had with the movie was that it was really messy. The editing in the movie was done poorly and it was very mediocre. That was my big problem with the movie.
What really blew me away was the acting. The acting was phenomenal! Jesse Eisenberg was just perfect. I thought he just took that role to a new universe. His witty insane acting that I saw in the Social Network but to a different level. He was probably my favorite character in the entire film. Personally, I thought he was too good for the role. Another actor who I thought did amazing was Ben Affleck. This was far better than Daredevil in ways I can't even describe. You will not walk out of the movie theater without saying how great of a job he did. He took the batman character and made him so much darker, which I didn't event think was possible. At first I had no idea what to expect, but he killed it. I hope to see him in his own movie, real soon.
Overall, I would recommend seeing it. Is it worth all the hype? Not really. They definitely could have made it so much better. Maybe they could have waited a bit longer to make the editing and flow of the movie better. David Brenner ruined this movie with his poor editing skills. He has done some amazing work but has been very mediocre and lazy lately. His recent movies reflect how he did in this movie and I hope he is not part of any big movies, like this, in the future. And even though Zack Snyder did a great job but I believe the actors are the best part of this movie. They are fun to watch and worth seeing.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Best Action Movie Ever
This is the best action movie I have ever seen. This movie is a huge success with little dialogue, cussing, or nudity. The story line was amazing. I don't see anything wrong with the movie besides that it had an ending. Nicholas Hoult did his best in this movie and it was phenomenal. The best acting I've seen in a long time. I would see this movie again. It deserves all 10 stars because it was all around an amazing movie. Story line amazing, plot amazing, acting amazing, violence amazing, special affects amazing. This movie is going to be a classic that I will buy and keep for a long time. See this movie as soon as possible.
