Weekend Sexcapades (2014)
Don't know where to start
I'm not really sure where the director was going with this one. There is almost no plot line to the entire film. The dialogue sounds like it was written by a five year old. I'm not sure if the director was trying to insult the audience with the dialogue or that he might actually be five years old. The acting is sub par at best. I think they could've gone with more main stream actors and actresses. Matthew Mcconaughey would've done a much better job as the main character Micheal. My other main complaint with the film is the constant sex scenes every five minutes. Almost every scene is followed by a ten minute sex scene which really seems to break up the flow of the film. This film is under romance but I really fail to see the romantic elements other than the constant sex between everyone in the film. I would not recommend this film to anyone other than a lonely single male.
Interstellar (2014)
Truly Amazing
I will be thinking about this film for many weeks to come. I had the same feeling after seeing Inception and Interstellar lives up Inception and the hype. The story has so many different layers from the love between a father and daughter to finding a place for humanity to survive. The acting is well done. Matthew Mcconaughey gives yet another outstanding performance and Anne Hathaway really drives home the emotion of their voyage. The visuals are unbelievable and paired with Hans Zimmer's score, I had goosebumps in nearly every major scene. The science can be a bit daunting for someone who has never dealt with any hard astronomy but the movie does a pretty good job of explaining most of the theories. Please do not go into the theater expecting to sit back just watch. This is a movie that will make you think, a lot. I can confidently say I will be going back to the theaters to see Interstellar again.
