By the 3rd episode I was watching this show as a comedy. It's so bad at everything that it becomes very fun to watch.

From the writing, acting "special effects", it's just so very lazy and low budget that I couldn't help but laugh!

If you take the main character played by Anjli Mohindra, she's some 'strong principled cop from the city' who seems to struggle with every day interactions and conversations, watching her stumble her way through a conversation can be painful at times, I feel as though the director only allowed 1 take per scene and accepted whatever came out.

The dialogue, well allow me to release this little gem (warning spoiler ahead) at one point Grace (Anjli Mohindra) has done some detectiving at starts to get suspicious about the residents of the island and says - in a very serious tone I might add, "The smartest thing the devil ever did was.. Convincing people that it was just a tourist thing".

It was at this point I realised that this was going to be quite an experience, and I wasn't disappointed, it's just a mess from start to finish yet I loved it.

I highly recommend that you watch his as its a genuinely intriguing mystery (even if you guess the twist) but when combined with awfulness with a show trying to take itself seriously then you'll have a great time.

Come on man, that's some low hanging fruit right there. Could have shot that in a million different ways but we had to lose the dog. Not a goldfish, not a mouse or a slice of bacon,jad to be the dog. Just felt very manipulative.

As for the film, Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan were decent enough, so can't complain about the acting. The first half of the film was even pretty good and intriguing before it got into the plot propper and it fell apart pretty quickly and Mackie's character became quite annoying and induced eye-rolling.

Would I watch it again? No, but I would suggest other people watch it just because misery loves company.

Now I don't know for sure but this felt as though David Gordon Green had an idea for a horror film about a couple of teenagers who fall in love and go on a killing spree, then he got the licence to make a Halloween film and decided to just mash the two together like a wet fart into a smelly sock, and this is what we got... A couple of twenty somethings acting like young teens being awkward, one is a grown woman with a responsible job who just decideds that her new boyfriend is cool and dangerous and now she wears leather or whatever, and a grown man who get bullied by teeny, tiny teenagers and then beats up Michael Myers....

As for Michael Myers, he is in it, for a bit, sort of and then he's DEAD, dead. This whole film is maybe 15 minutes Halloween and 5 hours of tween angst.

I just can't get my head around what the thought process was for making this film, it made no sense, built nothing up and killed off an iconic character in the most sleepy, unsatisfactory way possible.

Thanks for nothing fart breath.

OK it's not absolutely awful but it was very predictable and the last 20 minutes made the rest of the film make no sense at all. The whole having to be physically dragged away and have your memory forcibly wiped through electro shock therapy had to happen in a simulation? Meaning that you have fake memories of it happening? What???

There's just so many questions and plot holes, what was with those mini earth quakes? No answer there.

Also, why are all of the baddies men? Maybe it's a product of its time but this felt like there was no real reason behind why the men did this to their wives besides being men.

Anyways, acting was good, the story was just predictable and a bit stinky.

A film you will only watch once.

Too many red flags and plot point moments that are waves off as "I don't know, I wasn't paying attention".

But when little changes in character or expected story occur, of course she rememberes the details.

So much potential, just so badly exocuted.

Before people get all pissy, I enjoy the show, but as a brit having to listen to people trying to pull of an English accent in this episode is cringe worthy. Karl Urban can't even sounds like he's Mary Poppins so we can't expect much from the other farts in the mouth.

Anyways, just wanted to point out bad acting and be jealous that I can't do anything myself.

Plus this episode was all set-up and boring.

It's the British way.
