It's.. Different..
12 April 2015
This show doesn't really seem suited for the masses. I find it requires a certain amount of patience and passion for good dialog to really appreciate this.

If you want some action-packed big blowout bad-ass superhero show, then you're out of luck. But.... If you want something different, something dark and mysterious and interesting then this is for you.

It could be better, it's true, But personally I like what it is and where it's going. There were a few times I was ready to give up on it, But I pushed through and was glad for it. The thing that frustrates me most is that I really want Diamond to get his powers back, And the show keeps teasing me with it but it hasn't fully happened yet.

Either way though, It deserves a chance. Give it one.

It's pretty good but....

My view of the show is tainted by the fact that I was expecting an Anti-hero, a real one. I've gotten a little tired of the 'I can't kill but I'll beat bad guys into coma's' spiel and I wanted an Anti-hero that accepted his grey morality and didn't feel the need to explain himself to anyone.

Daredevil isn't as gritty or as dark as I wanted, It didn't take me into a deep place that so many have, most notably, Watchmen. But it is good. I liked the story but I wanted a masterpiece.

I'm interested to see how the protagonist develops and where they're going to take him, Whether he ever gets the stones to kill or whether he just has to play the 'good' guy.

I haven't read the comics and the movie didn't leave much of an impression but I'm hopeful for this show. It has the potential to be great, It just needs a writer that's willing to dig deep and isn't afraid of the dark.

Give it a watch

It started out strong and I was obsessed. It's got everything, action, gore, psychological, drama, crime and even romance. My favourite parts are the ones with Migi and Shinichi, They're back and forth and character development is what sets this anime apart.

The downfall of this show, in my opinion, is the romance. Satomi (The love interest) was the worst thing about this show. I hated her and her stupid voice and her stupid face and her constant stupidity. She was just so intolerable and the romance was ridiculous. I understand what Shinichi saw in her in the first few episodes, But as he developed and saw monstrous things one would have expected him to move on to someone with more brains in their head instead of idealistic naivety. I really wished he had.

Look the plot and character development is good enough to carry the show, And yes the romance is annoying and terrible but you can skip it without missing much.

All in all, It's worth the watch and has great potential.

Better than most

A lot of people said this show got dark, But watching the first few episodes I couldn't have imagined where it would go. It's definitely dark, But also kinda beautiful and perfect. I laughed, I cried, I contemplated my mortality and the meaninglessness of life.

This show has everything, And it's execution is just right. It felt complete, And I'm somewhat nervous about the next season. Rarely does quality like that stay consistent.

This is one of those shows that you have to watch at least once in your life, It's not a masterpiece but I swear it's a hell of a lot better than most things out there, And maybe you might just walk away with a different perspective or at the very least, Some self-reflection.
