Letterkenny: Miss Fire (2019)
Not their strongest episode, but some funny parts
I will dock it 1 point for being so mean to Jonesy and Reilly. I don't understand that writing considering those 2 tend to be super nice to the hicks and kind of workshop them. Didn't like that ending where they were berated for no real reason.
Letterkenny: W's Talk, Baby (2019)
Another masterpiece by the Letterkenny crew
Love how they keep getting the secondary characters like Tanis, Coach, Shoresy, etc. Involved in creative ways. I especially like that they didn't Netflix woke the actual hockey game and have the women come close or even win. It's cool to show some actual realism sometimes. Kudos for that.
Vikings (2013)
Incredible achievement!
I know everybody loves those first 4 seasons most and rightfully so as Fimmel was a tour du force and the greatest casted Viking in history, period. But Ragnar's kids held it together quite well (Bjorn especially was amazing in his own right). I also love that Hirst moved those last seasons to unknown territory with the Rus and eventually North America. It made it very watchable still and doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves. The final episodes in America were especially fun to finally see on screen after being something we've only read about for forever. It's gonna be a long while before we have a long ago history epic show like this again I'm afraid. Hopefully, it's Hirst himself that does it again!
Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
Dan Harmon must have done some MAJOR drugs in his youth...
And I'm glad he did! Because the stuff that comes out of that insane brain is brilliantly entertaining. It's gonna be a looooooonnnggg wait until the next season. This episode was a masterpiece, and I love that we only get a citadel/evil morty episode every couple season, unlike the whiners out there. Evil Morty is still alive, so I can't wait to see where that goes next time!
Rick and Morty: Rickdependence Spray (2021)
Probably the only time I got bored with a Rick and Morty episode before
The jokes were shockingly weak for a R&M episode, and the horse people completely randomly thrown in at the end. It's like they had some ideas but didn't really hash out how it would all work or what the message would be. A super surprising mediocre episode in an otherwise great season so far.
The Walking Dead: Here's Negan (2021)
Wow, Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivers a performance for the ages
Just when you thought the show was done, THIS happens. That episode could have easily been a standalone movie. It's just crazy that the 3 episodes prior to this one were so bad in writing, dialogue, everything and this episode is literally the complete opposite. The dialogue, editing, and pacing was the best the show has offered so far.
Rick and Morty: Mort Dinner Rick Andre (2021)
Simply incredible they are still able to deliver this level of quality after 5 seasons!
The episode was remarkable and delves into the consequences of time travel that so many sci-fi tv shows seems to skip upon. It was also fun to see Morty just go off. Just phenomenal entertainment overall.
The Witcher: Much More (2019)
One of the best fantasy singular episodes of all time
The show in general was a little weak for 7 episodes. Especially on seeing the magic of the mages. But boy do we really get a glimpse at what they can do in episode 8. As well, we finally see vulnerable magicians in a show. Which isn't really happening in Tolkien's worlds. In the Witcher continent, mages are strong but can be taken down eventually as we see in this episode. It adds a lot to the texture of it all. Not only that, the CG is suddenly on another level than the rest of the season. To even top that, the dialogue is suddenly far less confusing to boot. Overall, this episode was on par with great Game of Thrones episodes and Lord of the Rings.
