I will start with the (many) positive points: the performances are fantastic, everyone portrays the characters in a very credible way. The settings are beautifully shot and you will get hooked watching this that is a fact.
Now, this is after all, taken from a real story so the outcome is what it is. I start having a problem when the victim is portrayed like a 2 dimensional dim witted, petulant, bitter wench who had it coming throughout the series whereas the murderer is this poster picture perfect super mom/wife who was pulling double duty by catering to her own family and the victims'.
In my humble opinion, a couple of extra episodes focusing on the victim to humanise her instead of solely showing a hormonal mess who was cruel to very child in her life+ the aftermath of the trial would have done this show a whole lot of good.
The husbands also do not get a lot of justice in this show, they all seem to be "socks" simply fitting either foot of the protagonist (portraying the murderer) and end up being 2 dimensional as well.
There are many shows of this nature out there and they all do what they can to keep the viewers interested. This show had the "advantage" of a real crime story that is shocking and yet not very famous therefore there was a lot of artistic room to go around, especially with such a stellar cast and clearly beautiful direction.
It is a shame because by the end of it, it all wraps up into a lazy and limp ending that will leave you googling the case and pray that they make a documentary out of it.
