La casa de papel: Suspiros de España (2020)
Cliché much
The tv series had something where the usual predictablity wont appply to this show. But in this season I saw too many things coming miles away and I would say its bad, even medicore comedies does it better in terms of cliche.
Then there is the ex-millitary and appearant black ops who's clueless about how handcuffs work and the brother who went in reconnaissance and forgot to share about the armory with heavy millitary grade weapons for a 5 man team.
This whole season so far feels like a cluster ****.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
I rate This -10!!!! I mean it!
This is or was an amazing show until this (can't call it ending< this is something else) and a few episode before it. They totally ignored the story & character development. Yes the show established certainty of the uncertainty and yet there still was a pattern to it, it held some meaning but then this happen where they suddenly decided pain and suffering brings more ratings or something, so lets do that. This which closely connects to the established pattern of uncertainty and yet they seem to have have totally ignored the story & character development over the years. What it feels like is a cheap cliché and utterly bad one. The show deserves better, the story deserves better, the characters deserves better and the fans deserve better.
Arrow: Docket No. 11-19-41-73 (2018)
Amateur Hour!
Ok so I think the writter forgot what "Hero" means.
Lets review what a hero is, a hero is someone who takes others needs above themselves at great lengths and to the brink of death even, they fights for others, not for themselves, thats the general idea.
Now first Rene gets a threat for "Possibly getting vigilante identity revealed and going to jail" and decides "hey i have a child, lets sell out my partner (assuming he is not friends with Oliver)". And he decided to do this even though he knew Oliver has a kid and a family too.
Or in other words someone threats a hero of going to jail and they decides they should be allowed to spend time with their family so lets sell out their partner, I don't recall that being the ideal of a hero, EVER.
That's just the tip of the iceberg, then this Rene character tries to take the moral high ground under the defense of "If worst comes, Oliver probably wouldn't take my place in jail so I decided to sell him out" .... that's the most ridiculous thing ever, you're a team, you should always try to ask for help and even if we ignore team, what kind of hero sells out others for personal gain? and just for some jail time selling out partners? A Hero? That is no Hero.
As this character named Rene then takes the moral high ground, rest of the team follows with other lame ass excuses, I could explain all of those too, but I'm not gonna bother.
But I have to add, none of the arrow teams members noticed this fact, I mean they did to some extent, not to the point as it should be, hell I mean this is a show about Vigilante Heroes and every team member suddenly forgets what "A Hero" is? and they guy selling out team members for personal gain gets sympathy and treated like they are doing the right thing.
And I have to mention, another fun fact, no one the whole start city noticed that the hooded stranger called arrow was a white guy suddenly turned black and then white. Ya sure if we can have characters like Rene on the supposed righteous side, this is nothing.
And also the whole Diaz the strategist villain story line and setups are flawed way too much really, to name a few ...
Laurel/Black Canary who happens to be someone with supernatural poer and someone who's from another dimension where she used to play for the bad guys and also murdered, hurt numerous people in in world is suddenly scared of Big Bad Wolf Diaz ... really?
Finally Rene grows some ballz, not gonna say conscience as they didn't really get down from their proverbial high horse but they decided to try and help Oliver and this time under duress (as they had to cause they needed a happy ending) the case suddenly falls apart and arrow team is all together and happy again, lets sing Kumbaya.
I get it you gotta drag the story but comeon, is it too much to write a better story line or at the very least something not this bad.
This whole season sucks.
Living Biblically (2018)
I don't get the weird reviews.
Ok so this is not really a review of the show but a review of the reviewers .. which is to try and point out/explain the weird stuff going on here. I'm doing this because I think these reviews are seriously biased by people with blocked views I suppose.
I don't know how many times I've heard or read someone saying "This show is the worse, I should have stopped after reading the book" or something along the lines ... I get it, but there is more to the story, lets get real for a second, in almost any book to movie/tv show, its almost never the case that the story is followed as is and its been like that for a while so basically whats happening is, "based on xyz book" that term is used rather loosely in terms of book to media conversion but average people with their average mind can't seem to accept it or the fact that its someone else show and they can do whatever they want, all viewers such as these are doing is, sticking to their pretentious prospective where one must follow their idealism of perfection .. which happens to be "Follow the book to the letter" and I think this is just plain dumb.
Now why I'm thinking that way, let me explain this way, humans are creatures of habit and we happen to like patterns and we expect everything to follow/be in a pattern in most cases and this is case this happens to be "follow the book" but hold your horses, lets think for a second ... how many times ANYONE did anything exceptional or great by following a pattern or doing what others want them to do? anyone with half a brain knows how that goes, with that being said when we throw the show off the window just cause "It didn't follow the pattern we wanted", we're not going it a chance ... I know some may think, hey I watched it, thus gave it a chance but did you really? think again .. you already have a strong biased prospective, what you did is watch and hate/dislike it based on that prospective(with a high probability).
Now regarding humor, this story is about a book thats been read, preached and researched and what not from the beginning of time probably (just saying, don't need to be precise here, we all can google the exact time). So when something is read so many times, ok hold on, when you eat the best sushi everyday or the best chicken for every day .. do or do you not want something different eventually? you do because simply put, who likes same stuff on and on and on, right? well, now think what if you had life of thousand years and you had this one great food ... that you eat like say every random moment of a day for this whole thousand years, now after thousand years, would you still like it? even if its the best? Hell we can't stand the best for maybe weeks or months at most ... thousand years, no way. Now this book which happens to be in the core of this drama ... it''s just that ... no wonder people are complaining.
But I for one think this is a fresh change but yes ofcourse it has cliches and common lines that's been around/used for thousands of years but hey no complaining ... this show is about following a book's guidelines that's been around for thousands of years.
Basically what I'm saying is the idea of "follow the book" is just, meh! and well this show deserves better rating/reviews than it has and hopefully this will get better.
Westworld (2016)
Simply just too predictable
After watching first couple of scenes, I was like .. "oh please no, not another show where humans treats robots like slaves or worse and you can guess the rest"
Really disappointed, was expecting better from HBO but hey we sci-fi fans really don't get much of good contents I suppose, I get it, a show that's made to cater sci-fi fans would most likely turn out to be a failure as ... well, it probably won't go well with the mass but still, there has been shows ... that aren't this predictable & successful or atleast not total failure and I don't even wanna talk about the story, its just lame on too many aspects, wish I could use a better word for it .. but unfortunately I can't.
This really seems like transformers all over again, when It first came out, I jumped on the hype wagon too but to be honest what that and this show has in common is, good or decent acting (take your pick), lots of effects as in CGI (people in general like em) and murder ... ya lol, ofcourse we need blood & gore and that makes up the show which somehow gets over 8 rating without having a half decent story.
Now as for the story, I suppose for everyday people this type of story may seem like a different approach or w/e but really it isn't, I'm quite sure there as been quite a number of movies & novels and couple of tv shows where we've seen similar story ... hmm, so I suppose that makes it more of a revamp?
And logic aspect, I won't even go there, if the story is this bad, it doesn't take a genius (lets correct that with 1/50th of a genius) to figure out that ... the thing can't logic can't be applied here.
Finally another aspect, I suppose the philosophical approach, I suppose the story can be interpreted in different ways and one may think its a "good & meaningful show" but reality if a show has a story usages such cliche story concept with this much predictability and that much focus on expensive sets and animations etc ... that only speaks, rather screams one thing, that is .. they are trying to make another transformer type of tv show where all that matters is .. blood n gore and expensive this/that ... thus great show for most people.
But no unless story has something new & is good enough or atleast decent ... this wont work for me.
Stargate Origins (2018)
It hurts to rate any sg series so low but I had to
Where to start, low budget .. lets put that aside for a second, then comes the utter disregard for the SG franchise in too many aspects to mention in a short review and yes I've tried to tell myself maybe they wanted to try something different or it hurts to say ... maybe they were trying for something innovative but I couldn't sell that to myself, perhaps I was doing that being a SG fan I wanted this show to be good or atleast for it to be not be so bad in all aspect really? ... anyways I really wanted to rate this better, just for being an SG show but its just that bad that I couldn't.
The Walking Dead: How It's Gotta Be (2017)
WIsh I could rate this 0
Ok lets skip the bad & boring and dumb story dragging and events that takes place in Season 8, what totally put me off is when one of the supposed "Good Guys" suggests, "Lets make peace with a dictator, murderer and a rapist & more" ... and by peace it means "Give Up" & let them control your lives & Yes sure a fight/war may bring more sorrow & sadness but that sacrifice is for something better where one doesn't have live in fear of a dictator burning their face off or killing their loved ones on top of the zombies & to give up their rations, other scavenged stuff or give up their women folk to THAT guy & Yes I thought about the fact that who said it was on the verge of death or w/e but really? NO! just no, this is plain & simple unacceptable. I'm done with this show.
