Bar Rescue (2011)
Meh.
".... in which hidden cameras follow the staff." Er.....no. From the angles of the view, following staff members around corners, etc. At least some of the cameras are not hidden. The bar's staff screw up because they look at the person with the camera behind them. Often times the redo of an area is physically so offputting (flashing/glaring in-your-eyes lights, etc..) that it would discourage hanging around and ordering more food & drinks. Some turned out really well; most are mediocre. Personally, I have no respect for someone being foul mouthed (i.e., John Tapert); it's the mark of someone who has very little self control. Sure, you can yell at the staff if they deserve it, and have ignored your instructions and recommendations, but being foul-mouthed is a really useless way to communicate.
Cats (2019)
People have no imagination...
..... apparently, they've lost the ability to suspend disbelief. This is a wondrous fantasy; and teaches life lessons via local cat population. Why do people get so mentally fried over seeing a cat's butthole? It's like a 12-year old giggling every time someone mentions a double entendre'. Grow up, people.
Hawaii Five-0 (2010)
What's up....
...with Scott Caan's increasingly stoopid hair style? It looks like crap, and it's very distracting. Either buzz the wanna-be sad rooster look, or grow the hairdo out; it doesn't do anything but make the character look lame as hell.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Eewwww.......
Dark; hardly related to Star Trek at all. Everyone is damaged, an ugly version of themselves. And what the HELL happened to Deanna Troi? A highly ethical empath....turned into an amoral mobster type? No wonder most people dislike this "Picard"; it's trashing the very reason people fell in love with the series. If this were a stand-alone, it would be more acceptable. *Sigh*
Tiny House Nation: 180 Sq. Ft. Backpack House (2015)
Cool house, but...
This is by no stretch of the imagination a tiny house. It's a really neat house, but it's more on the order of a park model, the size of a trailer. It is not a tiny house. Not to mention you have to be freaking wealthy to afford all the stuff they stuck into it.
Nightflyers (2018)
Meh.
Really, really, really tired of the same old same old "Aliens going to get us and eat our brains" schlock. At least the movie "Enemy Mine " had the courage to think deeper than the surface crap they're all too often serving up.
Hawaii Five-0: A'ole e 'olelo mai ana ke ahi ua ana ia (2017)
Not believable
The whole fire part was SO bad; fire wouldn't spread that fast and get as big as that from a single source, especially in a dampish environment like the island. AND that chopper wouldn't have enough lift to pick up all the weight of that entire cabin+furniture + metal wood stove + 500lbs of personnel, etc. Stretching believability wayyy too far.
