Only God Forgives (2013)
beautiful and dull
Oops they forgot to make a movie! No worries, the beautiful cinematography capturing one of ryan's best eras alone is worth the watch.
It's like drive and place beyond the pines had a messed up love child that is lacking severely in ways the other two do not. It's like drive in that there's no much talking from ryan but his movements convey enough. This works great when there's a plot for him to quietly move through. But it's not even a slice of life, seemingly smooth and real "lack of plot" movie. It just came off as thinking it was deep and provocative without giving us anything to perceive as deep and provocative.
The Prestige (2006)
Scariest Movie I've ever seen(?)
Went into this unsure of what was going down, came out of it terrified, uncomfortable, confused, and different. Also David Bowie. I would reccomended it but my star rating is hard to decide because of my overall discomfort- a very unsettling film. Directing and acting is great.
Dirk Gently (2010)
Underrated and Hilarious
Truly deserved more than 4 episodes, i miss this show dearly. Both characters are funny and entertaining! The episodes are unique and interesting, and Stephen is great as always
Criminal Minds: Sex, Birth, Death (2006)
The best episode??? Yes
I have watched almost 10 season of this show, and I can't think of an episode i love as much as this one. I'm gonna make this quick so I don't go on a tangent. The main focus on Reid, Anton Yelchin's amazing acting, the ending! This is the only episode i've watched 4-5 times and enjoyed it each time.
Hannibal (2013)
WARNING: DO NOT WATCH WHILE EATING
This show quite possibly changed my life. I instantly fell in love and got thrown into the deep end. I wish everyone would give this a chance! It is extremely bingable and there is only 39 episodes so it is not overwhelming. The editing is amazing, the filmography is beautiful, the actors are incredible, the characters are believable and I love them all in their own ways. Please give this show a chance, I BEG OF YOU. I cried frequently, out of excitement and sadness the season 2 and 3 finales especially. The chemistry between Hugh and Mads is electric. The stories are complex and entertaining and the 45 minute episodes FLY by.
