This without a doubt one of the most interesting premises in a documentary and the team of scientists, designers and animators did a splendid job in order to create these creatures.

Apart from the first episode which just a quick summary of watch this series is about, the rest of the episodes are quit well made, with each of the giving us a different environment and creatures which inhabit and what they did in order to survive in that conditions and of course different animals and some plants to.

If I had an issue with the series it would be that is showing a bit of a limited number of creatures per episode, whoever this only a small complain and in truth if they were more it may was difficult to follow the documentary.

As for the designs there-selves as we go further and further in to the future they become even more alien to our eyes and bizarre to the point that they seem more some from science fiction ,but if you look around then these adaptations make total sense and it a testament to the work that was put in here.

Over all there aren't many documentaries that try to think how would the animals and plants be in the coming ages and this is by far the most well known and perhaps the best example of speculation done right.

In English the name is "The laugh-less stone" and it is a stone in Eleusina and it was sacred for it was part of the Greek mythology. As for the area that this documentary takes place, Eleusina is one of the most industrialized places in Attica and Greece in general and at same time one of the most historic places for this area is linked with the Classical Greece.

And the main themes, which are depicted in a very mature and subtle way is the clash between the ever consuming way of our modern life (or in this case the nineties, but he same can apply even for today) and the traditions of the area and the progress against the preservation of our past. And especial weight is put out the stories of the people who live in this area, during the decade that this documentary was in the making, and there are quit fascinating for you can get why they are concern not only the older generation, but the youth as well.

This is an issue for many cities in Greece as most cities have been built literary over the ancient remains ,with little or no planing so it is common place to see for instance train stations side by side part of ancient rode.

Over all it is highly recommended and if you want to see how Greek society is the way it is this is a good point of reference.

The film is good looking, the setting is great and quit faithful for the era and even the idea of tackling the ownership of Shakespeare plays, though ,a bit a stretch, could make of fascinating promise. And this is all the good parts of this film.

As for the rest the intrigue after a while becomes more and more absurd to the point that I thought "wait a minute from where did that came from?" Also it was strange that the focus was to the backroom work all the time and not to the work itself of how to make the plays and the manner of the birth of plays that we enjoy still today is boring, for the freaking Shakespeare! OK I get the is the Renaissance and the back- door plays were the norm ,but what about character development?

If anything this film proves the Emmerich was a one hit wander with Independece day and Stargate and considering what has produced after 1996 the less is better.

All in all skip this film it is worthless in both ideas and it seems that it tries to ruin the legacy of of of history greatest storytellers.

We have seen the first cross-over of superheroes in the big screen five years ago and now Marvel does again another cross-over but this time are the heroes of the television series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist so is it any good?

Well yes it is quit entertaining and the action is top notch and the interaction with the characters is very interesting and the twist and turns of the series as well as the built up for the continuations of the Netflix series was well handled. As for the return of Elektra well this was a roller-coaster and her interaction with Mat was both interesting and heart-breaking.

However this cross-over isn't without issues, firstly the Iron Fist is disappointing and the actor has zero charisma and nest to his fellow Defenders he is the weakest link and honesty his sidekick could better the him. Another part the wasn't great was the villains, OK the Hand was a force to be recount with and Sigourney Weaver gave a good performance as usual, however I never felt the fear and danger as against Killgrave and Kingpin nor the intrigue of the villains of Luke Cage. Also due to the fact the series has only 8 episodes it feels at times a bit rushed and they could give to each episode five to ten minutes more time in order to fix these issues.

Nevertheless these issues don't break the series and I am glad that after the CW cross-over of its heroes we got this one and now I am pretty sure we are going to see a battle in the Internet about the best TV cross-over of 2017 and this time will not be as clear cut as with BvS and Civil War.

Overall if you are a defender fan you should check out this series and the same applies for the fans of the Netflixtv series as well myself included.

Clocking in in just one hour and forty five minutes long this the shortest film ever produced by Christopher Nolan after the Following his first feature film way back in 1998. Still in this short time you get five to six different perspectives about the Dunkirk's Evacuation during the first days of WW2 and the stress and fear the was in the air during these days.

Through out the duration of the film you feel that time is in short supply and at any moment a bomb, a bullet or a torpedo will come and kill more soldiers who are trapped like fishes in a barrow and if this army is lost then the war will be over in a moments notice with the Nazis victorious! So Nolan and his team had a very difficult work to do and in all honesty they not only manage to make a good film but actually a great flick, boy after the Inglorious Bastards WW2 has came in full force in the cinema, I can't be more happy about that!

The only thing that wasn't outstanding was the acting ,the actors did their part flawlessly, no doubt about that, however there wasn't any performance the stole the show. And that is fine for this was a story about surviving a insufferable situation and the heroic efforts of military personnel and common civilians who at times went above and beyond to save the stranded army there. As for effects, cinematography, authenticity and historical accuracy ,outstanding ,no other word can describe it best the work that was put here.

Also the one thing that stuck with me was the music which reminded me a lot a ticking clock and filled me with fear and anxiety about what would happened next because if this army was lost then France and especially Britain would have zero capacity on continuing the war so it was a big deal at this point.

In the end when the film was ending we got the famous speech by Winston Churchill and his remark that there is along way ahead of them with this conflict and the end. Although abrupt the end is totally in mud with the situation at hand "Yes we saved our soldiers, but with evacuation you can't win Wars".

Overall this film dispute not been as brutal and bloody as Hacksaw Ridge of the previous year is still an excellent WW2 film like the Ridge and what can I say, Mr Nolan you are a magician in the director chair!

Carrie is one of the most iconic horror film in history and De Palma directing and shooting makes you understand everything by the images and cinematography ,how the characters feel, why they feel like that. The result is you can understand their actions through the film and their motivations, though at times a bit shallow, you can get why they do it.

Also Brian De Palma shows very well the working of the senior high school students, from the unnamed hierarchy, to the cruelty the teens are capable off it goes with out saying if you had a difficult years in school you will sympathize with Carrie and even rude for her. An other thing worth mentioning is that the cruelty in house and at school can twist the way a person sees things and in the final scene of the infamous school dance we see that in a very realistic and disturbing manner.

As for the subject of puberty is demonstrated by the telekinetic powers Carrie gains after her first Luteal phase. And gradually she starts to disobey her religiously fanatical mother, accepting complements as a good thing and even dancing with her cavalier. However there is and a dark side to that : she can now pretty easily hurt anyone how hurts her physically or emotionally and it is dangerous as innocent people may and do get in the cross fires.

In general puberty is depicted like a new power coming out from the person and there two bad outcomes from it :When it isn't put in check becomes cruelty (seen in the girls bullying Carrie).The other possibility is when it comes in the hands of a person who was continuously bullied then the tables are turned and the hunted becomes the hunter, basically the quote of Nietzsche "He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee." becomes a reality ,just showing that the goodness and kindness how can be lost and even the most cruel maybe they do it just to get respect like in high school of instance.

OK I will close mist analyses here for I may over did it. However this is a great adaptation of Steven King and perhaps the most faithful book-to-film take from all the films and series that have been based from his work so far ,together with the Green Mile, Misery and Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.

This is loose adaptation of the story of the same name and I have to say this is one of the best Justice League story-lines around for it shows two things: one that when the villains can coordinate their attacks they are a force to be record with and the paranoia of Batman is a both his best weapon as he has a plan for everything and as it was shown here a weakness as it doesn't allow him to work well with others.

As for the title of this review, well the team has faced a lot of crazy and dangerous event over the years ,but none of that was made with the precision of a surgeon to kill them. That is why this is maybe the worst day of the core members of the Justice League for never in their career they didn't face such a attack on them.

In general the film it very fast pace, and it keeps you in interested all the way. I ,honesty, don't expect the Justice League film of this autumn to be a good as this one.

In general it is a very well made story, great animation and in my point of view the best model for Metallo ever put in a video movie ,or a TV series animated or live action.

If you want to see an old-fashion Justice League story ,like those from the Hustice League and Justice League Unlimited, then this a flick for you

Wacky Races is thin on plot, character and scenario. It is in fact just all the major characters of Hanna Barbera studio racing against each other.

But the main driving,no pun intended isn't the scenario or the characters in the series, they were all known up to that point. The main show is a classical ,yet less violent, who would win in a fight or in this case a race.

And I have to say it was exciting to see each team uses its own different methods to gain a edge against the other ones. As for the tricks they were in line with the style of their teams.

Over all this one great cross-over and you can enjoy it easy with all its slap-stick and fun and to add that see a first example of cross- over of beloved characters in our culture, which seems to have become an stable and obsession of modern day entertainment.

This film shows in a very realistic manner who a Greek family works, yes it is a bit over-exaggerated ,but in general this what you see in typical Greek family. And the list is as follows

Overly protective mothers, fathers who can't see the contradiction in their words and actions, grandmothers who cool like crazy, grandfathers who love to the point of ridiculous their grandchildren ,cousins we don't want to talk to, aunts who act weird and uncle who either say the best or worst jokes or even both of them (don't ask).

As for the pride and comedy ,100% correct, that kind of cruel and immature jokes are rare but when they come be aware everyone is a target. To the pride well, we are pompous loud and we have a problem with our temper, just kidding ,we have close to zero control of it ^__^.

But when it comes to family matters ,you see this kind, emotional and lovable side in the film , yes there are fights inside ,but when puss comes to shove, we got each others backs.

Overall it is good comedy ,with a lot of laugh and a nice inside look of a Greek family from a non-Greek, and the sequel is a piece a #$@$@!.

Well after the critical under performance of Beneath the Planet of the Apes, we go to Escape,when in the today's world (seventies) a spacecraft crash lands and three talking chimpanzees come out, the two are Zira and Cornelius from the first two films.

I have to say this film is weird and the creators definitely knew that and so the whole thing is a examinations of our ape heroes and their origin, which is surprising both thoughtful and interesting pointing out also the predestination paradox, theories of who a civilization is created and then more or less forgets its origins, which is not uncommon, see the Greek, Hindu, Egyptian and Chinese civilizations, they existed for so long that even they have little to no clue how they came to be.

Also we see the beginning of the humans anxiety correlated with the seeming danger of them been replaced by the smart apes. So this film is both a sequel and a prequel and it is difficult putting the time-line in order. Again we see another repeat of history here, with the X-men films, another franchise in which the time-line of events is fussy to say the least and flipping confusing to be brutally honest.

Overall an enjoyable film and by default in the top 3 of the original trilogy as the previous installment and Battle aren't very good as movies overall.

Continuing our journey back to the past we now reach the one of the two good sequels of the original film, conquest and I have to say when I first saw it I like it more than any other of the rest of the series apart from the original.

So here we follow the child of Zera and Cornelius, Maylo/Ceasar who during the 88 minutes of the film he becomes the leading figure of the Ape resistance in a dystopian version of the nineties,in which people rule and use Apes as slaves and pets. Even if your historical knowledge is average you can clearly see who the problems that rocked the American society to its core in the late sixties and early seventies with the riots and the violence on the streets as the segregation between white and African-American came to a close.

Is it a perfect translation? Well, no actual the film is at times to fast pace and things take place a bit to quickly in order to get full invested to the characters and the start of the Ape revolt, but at least we have no slow moment to weight down the film. To add to that this speed keeps the interest about hat is happening.

Over all it is a product of its time and though heavy handed and a light campy nowadays, it is has a punch and if you are a fan of these films you should definitely watch.

Reviewing now one of the original films feels like a travel trough time and when watching an older film or series I believe it is essential to know a bit of back ground of watch you watching to judge it accordingly.

So in battle we meet the original Ceasar who now is the ruler of a society in which Apes and Humans co-exist, but unlike the previous film the Apes are in charge, however under to magnanimous Ceasar peace exist. But this peace may not last as some Apes start to believe that maybe it is better to kill the humans. Also there are and some humans outside the society of Ceasar, and so I think we have battle, even though we see that the war ended, whatever.

In general though the title sounds cool, we don't get a lot of combat and what we see is a half asked message about how personal bias and blind anger can treat a society and conclude to a war. Clearly inspired by the Vietnam War of the era ,who was at its last days.

Now why this one is the the weakest is due to budget cuts, angry parents why said the previous film was too violent (stupid parents always ruin everything) and inconsistencies in the plot with the rest of the franchise. As for the message well the manner it is presented is too on the noise and in way a class teacher may presented so is a interesting as it sounds.

If something good came out of this one and Conquest is that about four decades latter when they wanted to remake the Ape films the used the ideas from this one and presto Rise, Dawn and War came out, which are excellent.
