Dark (2017)
The only thing they got right is the casting
Honestly, the plot is a mess. It's unnecessarily convoluted and there are so many twists that led no where and was unnecessary to the general plot of the story.
Lots of characters as well and it can be hard to keep up with who's who.
The only thing I can say they got right is the casting though. The past, present and future selves looked identical; asides that, it was just unnecessarily long and drawn out in my opinion.
I'm quite shocked that so many people liked it, to be honest. Interstellar is a good example of a movie that made sense of the beginning being the end and the end being the beginning. This one just didn't make sense.
Foundation (2021)
Keeps losing the plot
I just started watching Season 2 and honestly, it's beginning to remind of Vampire Diaries. A character is dead (but not really dead), a character is lost (but not really lost); it's beginning to get silly at this point.
Seems like the whole point of the story changed and everything's all muddled up. Hundreds of years are drifting by and the main characters are still the same 🙄
To be honest, the story actually started quite well but at the point where the vault opened, it started getting silly. It's like the writers of this series just have a hard time letting go of characters. I'm sure Raych will turn up somewhere soon 🙄
Shanty Town (2023)
Very disappointing
That scene in the last episode where Shalewa (Nancy Isime) went to the bathroom to adjust her make up and then bumped into Ini Edo (can't remember her character's name) and then they found out the truth about Jackie....yeah...so in that scene Shalewa clearly brought out the 'touch and follow' charm, pondering on whether she could follow through or not before Ini Edo came out of her stall but in the very next scene, Scar (Chidi Mokeme) had it with him and used it on Femi Fernandez (Scar). Like....how????
This series is full of so many stupid mistakes like that. Like how come Scar was just tortured in the very same restaurant where Shalewa and Femi came to dine? And he just bumped into them?
The scrip writing was appallingly horrible and then the acting? Oh my goodness. The way accents changed mid scenes. I'm not even an observant or finicky person but the fails were just too obvious. I daresay it was almost lazy. Like how did this series go through the whole editing process and none of these mistakes were discovered and corrected?
Despite being star studded, the acting was very poor. The script and story was worse. I was very very disappointed. Complete waste of time.
The New Mutants (2020)
It wasn't that bad
Okay first of all, I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before watching it. Lol. Well maybe because I didn't have high expectations, I wasn't disappointed. It's not the best movie but I've seen much worse. I think it's alright and the acting isn't as bad as most people are saying it was.
Interstellar (2014)
Legendary!!!
I am completely blown away at the creativity and innovation it took to create such legendary-ness! I honestly cannot believe it.
