Loved it, really hope Loial is not dead.. Ffing weird how they dug up that chest like 3 times and then Perrin comes in to help for remaining 2 try's..

But otherwise super insane very well done Shappeux!!

I freaking loved this episode! This was for sure the best acting I've seen from the cast so far. Also the nods to the bookreaders are quite evident. The bloodsnow cold opening and then the actual follow up later on STAMPED with a scene of rand carrying Tam. I couldn't be happier right now... I was skeptical on how they were going to warp the Matt story, the Rand story, the lan-butt story. But the nailed it!!

PS still wanna know how the darkones forces and Fain use the freaking ways now.

This episode had some really great moments and some really silly moments. I realize that I really should stop thinking about the books at this point. Especially cause they put so much effort in Stepin's story. I thought it was a really strong performance by king Harald and Manbutt-Lan and I've realized I only didn't enjoy it as much as I could have, because it is a total fresh story for this series.

Valda's scenes were mostly sick but the moment when egwene and perrin escape seemed almost laughably bad. The Tinkers lining up like some Greenpeace hippies was a nice touch. Rand saying he feels like he remembered the mountain was totally an unnecessary line for me as a book reader but for new viewers I think it could be a nice addition, still could have maybe done with a facial expression that shows remembrance. Oh well..

Then there is Loial, super well done! Everything about him seemed perfect, his looks, his lines, his eagerness. The only thing that didn't make sense in my mind was the speed at which he spoke, I'd always imagined him super calm and relaxed. But again this is a book reader nitpicking at details.

I'm going to have to watch the episode again now BYE.

I recently re-read the first book and am now halfway through the 2nd, and I must say, this is a very nice adaptation. Yes it is true that if you are a reader, the pacing might feel a little rushed, like it feels they skip some important pieces here and there.

Especially during the first episode, where they show a sword but it doesn't really get the proper follow up, you expect as a reader. Or how rushed the actual 'leave taking' is.

Besides that, I felt super hyped and a lot of characters seem to be casted right on point. Some of the changes they made to the story feel quite natural and work well for this series. The plot is laid down very nicely and the world looks a little too good, for the bad spring they are suppose to suffer in 2rivers.

Personally I feel the potential for this to become 'Very' good, now it is just good and really enjoyable, but there is a hidden Power somewhere in this and I hope the series unlocks its true potential.

PS Padan got me most excited of all characters so far.
