The Walking Dead: How It's Gotta Be (2017)
Season 8, Episode 8

Something some people knew yet no one predicted in this manner
11 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Before I get into the spoiler itself, I want to say that this is All Out War as it should be. There were a lot of moments in this episode that kept me guessing as to how it would play out. Outside of two characters, I felt as if anyone could have potentially died in this episode and the exchanges between Savior elites and Maggie and Ezekiel we're believable to the characters, yet still executed in a way that iced the blood in my veins.

*Spoilers*

But the big character moments were given to Carl. First was his interaction with Negan, in which he not only has some thought provoking questions about Negan's character in the present, but also unintentionally touched a few chords about Negan's past prior to meeting Rick. After those questions we see that he was able to get away from the saviors, using the sewer system. Rick fights Negan briefly, but nothing is accomplished in this moment other than Rick avoiding capture. And the ending I think caught most fans off guard. Carl is shown to have suffered a walker bite from two episodes prior. Now I know we've had the show remix itself from the comics, but never was it do this big of one. And it leaves me wondering if they will do, what the comics did not, by killing Negan. February can't come soon enough, if the quality is as good if not better than this episode.

A change of pace
20 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
So, a week removed from my rant of the people who hate this show because it lacks the drama from the first two seasons, we get an episode reminiscent of those seasons while still maintaining the presence of All Out War. Does it do a good job of blending those elements together? Short answer? Yes. In fact, this episode did better than I thought it would be. We saw the inevitable fight between Rick and Daryl over how to win this war, Negan's lieutenants arguing over not only how to clear the Sanctuary but also how to appease the workers who clearly outnumber the rank and file, and a surprisingly deep moment between Negan and Gabriel all wrapped up in 75 minutes. While there are some moments I question, the helicopter flying over Rick, Negan apparently being healed up in what couldn't have been more than a few hours, and the abrupt ending that leads me to wonder whether Gabriel is bit or dehydrated, it doesn't bring the experience of the episode down as much as last week did.

This what I want to see in TWD. Not what Some Guy was.

Why do I need to do this
14 November 2017
Why is it that ever since the deaths of Abraham and Glenn, it seems like every episode after just divides people more? This division is hypocritical in that in Season 7 people wanted action and war instead of Rick being Negan's lapdog, yet when that finally happens with All Out War, you suddenly say its not what you want and instead you want the same drama you wanted in the early seasons. If you want that drama go watch Young and the Restless. Now in regards to this episode, I do think that it was flawed. You can't tell me that ALL THOSE WALKERS appeared to not make any progress on Ezekiel. That alone drops it down to an 8 at best, but i'm going to make it a 7, because I do think it was a decent episode that showed some very powerful moments that were only set back by questionable scenes.

And to the people that don't like this show and want it to end, STOP WATCHING THEN!!!😡😡

Awesome
12 July 2017
It's official. This show has surpassed the main Dead with this double feature. Everything was layered in such a way that you couldn't help but be awe inspired.

And to the person who hated this episode because of a remixed version of an awesome song, ecarpenter, terrible reason to hate it.

Disappointed with the trolls

I hate that such an awesome finale has been rated this low by people who don't actually care about the show so much as they care about just putting a rating of 1. If you don't like the show, then please leave or just don't watch it anymore. But don't wreck a rating because you have nothing better to do.

Sorry, I felt like I had to say that because of how many reviews I see of people saying this was a bad finale. To the people that found this bad, compare this finale to the season 6 finale and tell me how this is worse than that. The acting was incredible, the twist caught me off guard, and the last 30 minutes was packed with heart stopping action from beginning to end. All of this to sent up what is arguably the greatest arc of the Walking Dead comics, All Out War. You better believe I will be watching this to see how closely this measures to the comics, and I will be giving MY honest opinion on the matter when it happens.

The Walking Dead: Last Day on Earth (2016)
Season 6, Episode 16

Not as bad as people say it is.
19 April 2016
I am disgusted with how many people are voting this episode because of 45 seconds of cliffhanger filler. Forty-five seconds of cliffhanger does not destroy 89 minutes of epic television. Would I personally wish for a better ending than what we got? Well, yeah it would have been nice to know going in to season 7 who we lost. Would I rate the episode any lower than an 8 because of the ending? Lol no. And why? Because the acting was phenomenal, the story was well done, the tension was legitimate, and the terror was there. Jeffery Dean Morgan is incredible as Negan. And I feel that he will make the Governor seem like a spoiled brat in the seasons to come.

And to people who say they are jumping ship because of a bad ending, i would like to think that 75 percent of you who say that this killed their drive to watch the show will end up watching Season 7 anyway.

First review I left on this show and certainly won't be the last. I also understand that people likely will not support this review because I'm not "following the crowd." And to that I ask a question. If the finale showed what happened would your opinion actually change? This is not the first show to do this. Dexter, The Strain, and Burn Notice are some examples. Again to be clear, I do not like the way the ending was handled. I feel that it should have been done the way fans deserved. But that does not ruin everything else in the episode.
