Dark Side of the Ring: The Life and Crimes of New Jack (2020)
This would be a 10 but..... excuses.
You see, this has nothing to do with the hatred of Extreme Wrestling. I love Extreme Wrestling (preferably when it doesn't involve stabbing a man to near-death). This episode has a completely different issue... excuses.
You see, New Jack is interesting. It seems whenever Vice started talking about one of his controversial moments that magically something about racism came about or that he was abused as a kid. I didn't see them do this with Nick Gage, so why New Jack?
I found it quite comedic when they talk about and even show Mustafa and New Jack hanging the white baby doll to garner some heat but immediately play the victim card when they were called "Ni***rs". What do you expect? If you want heat then expect heat. That's wrestling, especially in lower-tier promotions (I still love SMW however).
It also happens multiple times as well. Mass transit incident? The kid's dad called him a "ni***er". The New Jack stabbing? The cop said "Why do you hate white people". I'm honestly shocked that New Jack even took responsibility for the reckless endangerment of Vic Grimes.
The production and pacing is perfect. This was my first Dark Side Of The Ring episode and I am patiently waiting for the XPW and FMW episodes.
New Jack is still my favorite hardcore wrestler but dear god, this documentary was pathetic at times. It would be a 4/10 if it weren't for the perfection that is DSOTR.
R. I. P. New Jack.
Into the Dark: Culture Shock (2019)
If I ever hang myself, this movie will be in my suicide note
You heard it here first, folks. This movie is a nauseating mess with constant political pandering and honestly, racism on both the Mexican and Caucasian parts.
This movie is on the left side of the bell.
Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace (2016)
It is great with peace of the world
I walked into this thinking that it was a tv show about world peace, low and behold that's what I got.
