The first heist (seasons 1 and 2) was absolutely 10/10. After that they completely botchered it. They killed off too many beloved characters and replaced them with characters not nearly as interesting (The Walking Dead had this problem as well). And Raquel, who used to be so well written, gets reduced to nothing more than the Professor's significant other. But mostly the whole story is just not as good and not at all on the same level as the first two seasons. TV executives need to learn when a story is finished and just end series on a high note instead of ruining them for more money.

John Carpenter knows exactly how to scare me. Michael Myers is calm, walks slowly, and doesn't speak, but that's just what makes him so frightening. I also really enjoyed the idea of how he is basically the embodiment of pure evil. Unlike most villains, his parents didn't die or society abandoned him - he doesn't have any tragic backstory. He was just born like this. And that is one scary thought which not a lot of films employ. Nowadays we're all so into gloryfying villains (e.g. "Joker") that we don't even take into account that some people are just born evil. It's a shame that most of the later instalments in the "Halloween" franchise depicted Michael crying and made him related to Laurie, giving him emotions and a motive. They missed the whole point.

I became interested in this film because Jeff Bridges and Jon Hamm both rarely disappoint and I loved Drew Goddard's previous project, "The Cabin in the Woods". I'm still not sure which film I like better, that one or this one.

I absolutely adored this film and it's definitely one of the best films I've seen in 2018. It's sort of a mystery thriller, but I can't compare it to anything I've ever seen before. The best thing about the film is the atmosphere, which is exactly right. Nothing felt too cliché or predictable. The film is filled with plot twists, but it never gets overcomplicated. The film and the characters intrigued me from the first until the last minute. You can tell from the beginning that there's something shady about every character, but the fun of the film is waiting to find out what that is.

The film is accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack and even better cinematography. I loved the way the scenes where they look at the hotel rooms from the secret passageway were shot. And of course all the actors played their parts very well. I especially enjoyed seeing Chris Hemsworth in such a different role.

This film is a parody of slasher films and simultaneously it's a love letter to them. The film is about five teens who go to a cabin in the woods where they are faced with all kinds of terror, which they unknowingly choose themselves, because Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins and a whole team of people are directing it all in a "The Hunger Games"-like way for reasons you will find out at the end of the film. All the classic horror tropes are present, so prepare for a fun ride.

It's a great premise, and luckily also very well executed.

The ending may not be for everyone, but I personally liked it very much. And I absolutely loved that Sigourney Weaver cameo.

My only issue with this film is that the five main characters could have been more interesting.

I love all Wes Anderson films, especially "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", "The Grand Budapest Hotel", and this one. However, this film holds the most special place in my heart because I think it delivers such an important message.

The two children the film focuses on both suffer from loneliness, as the boy is an orphan and the girl is neglected by her family, and this has serious consequences on their mental health. Mental health issues among young children is a subject that has not been covered much in the film industry and I admire Wes Anderson greatly for tackling it, while simultaneously giving us such a beautiful and heartwarming story. The film has great acting performances, too. Go see it.

This my absolute favourite film of all time. I love most of the Coen brothers' work, but this is their masterpiece. I love films that have a strong sociopolitical message but are not melodramatic and instead bring it in a more fun or subtle way. This film delivers great commentary in promoting pacifism and nihilism, but at the same time it's a hilarious comedy, and a parody of the neo-noir genre (even the title itself is a nod to neo-noir, referring to the 1946 noir classic "The Big Sleep"). And most importantly, it does all those things perfectly.

"The Big Lebowski" is a film about nothing, but that's kind of the point. Like in film noir, the plot is overcomplicated. Even the Coen brothers themselves have admitted to not even being able to entirely follow it. It's about the journey, man. The crime in this case is very ironic and satirical. Our 'detective' is a slacker who calls himself "The Dude" and spends his days bowling and smoking weed. Our crime is that said Dude is the victim of theft: his rug has been micturated upon and stolen. And that makes The Dude very upset, because it really tied his room together. Much potential for comedy in that plot, and the script more than delivers. Almost every line in the film is laugh-out-loud funny and the actors in the film all have brilliant comedic timing. Superb casting.

In this film, the Coen brothers seriously criticise the war. The Dude's sidekick, Walter, is a Vietnam war veteran and look what it did to him. The poor guy is seriously disturbed. It is even mentioned that The Dude's disabled name double, Jeffrey Lebowski, is in a wheelchair because of the war. The film also conveys the message that money doesn't buy happiness (which is a theme the Coen brothers have played with in most of their films). Almost all the characters (even the self-proclaimed 'nihilists') are after money and nothing good comes of it in the end. In the end, the Coen brothers are promoting The Dude's pacifist and abstemious lifestyle.

"The Big Lebowski" is a perfect film that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good comedy. Everything in this film stands out, from the acting to the writing to the music to Roger Deakins' fantastic cinematography (those dream sequences!). 10/10

This is one of my all-time favourite films. The atmosphere is just perfect; brilliant directing on Eastwood's part. It's tragic, but mostly very dark and haunting. Throughout the film, you keep wondering about the characters' motives and the final act is very satisfying. A fantastic adaptation of a great story, complimented by phenomenal performances by the entire cast. The only thing that bothered me was that the final two scenes felt a bit unnecessary to me, when the antepenultimate scene would have been a perfect way to end the film.
