I should have known better
15 May 2021
I should have known better. Apart from Chernobyl and a few other rarities. As a rule if something is made by Sky it's amateurish. Twist for example. This is unsurprisingly bad, from the acting to the CGI. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

Dickens must be turning in his grave

Whoever thought it was a good idea to make this banal luvvie fest, should keep their ideas to themselves. Bad acting, poor script, even Michael Caine couldn't save it. Don't bother.

Childish plot
3 February 2021
The plot is childish. I can't believe this rubbish ever got commissioned. It's no surprise everyone is migrating to on demand television.

Enjoyed it but...
15 December 2019
Enjoyed it but I wish they'd payed more attention to detail. Grey squirrels weren't introduced to Britain until after the discovery of America. There are several of these kinds of mistakes but overall we found the series entertaining.

An excellent piece of work
29 November 2019
If you loved Goodfellas, you'll love this. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll just say the acting is obviously superb. Direction super. Give yourself plenty of time because it's three and a half hours long, but its worth it. Bobby, Al and Joe were all excellent, and Steven Graham once again showed he loves playing a Gangster. Watch it, you'll love it.

Bacon at his best
3 October 2019
This is by far the best performance I've ever seen from Kevin Bacon. When he was on screen it was mesmerising. The supporting cast were equally compelling. If this doesn't win awards, then there's no justice.

Abysmal

Plotless clueless, I expected better with a pair of good actors, but sadly no. Don't bother

Excellent

The premise for this movie was inspired. The acting was top drawer and finally the make up, whoever did the makeup deserves an oscar.

I really looked forward to watching this but unfortunately the film didn't live up to the hype. The acting was good, but the plot wasn't.

Surprisingly good
4 June 2019
I started to watch this, not quite knowing what to expect. Then found it to be refreshingly good. I'm a big fan of dsystopian sci fi movies, but it is easy to make a mess of them. This however was excellent, well written and imaginative.

Refreshing
11 May 2019
We really enjoyed this, the plot was original and refreshing. Marling's acting is superb, as is Jason Isaacs. Just finished season one, about to watch two. Well done Netflix.

Dreadful
29 April 2019
A pointless waste of an hour and a half. The plot was thinner than a cigarette paper. It's an often used term, 'I could write better myself' but I believe I could. The biggest mystery of this movie was, how it ever got commissioned in the first place.

Excellent
30 March 2019
The cinematography, sets and costumes were all, first rate. It's this kind of attention to detail which sets this movie apart from some others. Woody Harrelson is the stand-out performer to me, but Costner more than carries his weight. The atmosphere of austerity in the Western States is palpable. Once again Netflix has nailed it, keep it up guys.

Scarey
21 March 2019
The scarey part of this is, the fact that it's true. Eric Bana is excellent as the Antogonist, and Connie Britton also good as the victim. Each episode is gripping and we didn't want it to end. And a special mention for Juno Temple, absolutely superb.

Disappointment
21 March 2019
How Ben Affleck gets top billing is the biggest mystery in this lacklustre b-movie. If it wasn't for Oscar Isaac, I would've switched off after half an hour. The plot was as poor as Affleck's acting. It started out bad, and then got worse, don't bother.

Don't bother

Good cast, awful plot. If you've got a choice between this and another movie, choose the other one. I can't believe anyone could sit through this and enjoy it. Two hours of my life, I'll never get back.

Without doubt, the best film I've ever seen.

I was never a fan of Reservoir dogs, but when Tarantino made this he reached the pinnacle. The concept is brilliant. Sam Jackson and Uma, are excellent as always. It has everything, the chopping and changing. Soundtrack. Everything about it is perfect. I can't fault it.

Scary stuff
30 August 2018
We thoroughly enjoyed this. Dystopian movies are always good. This one is particularly scary. Well written, well directed and superbly acted. By this talented husband and wife team. Well done

Too slow
25 August 2018
It was well acted, scenery was amazing, but the whole series should've been three episodes or less. Too much filler. Too much rehashing. Also a major blooper, The term Scarper was used in one episode, but as it was the turn of the century, and the battle of Scapa flow didnt happen until the first world war. That particular rhyming slang term wasn't used at that time.

Much better than the earlier incarnations
25 August 2018
This version is far better than the earlier versions of this genre. Alicia is a marvellous actor. She puts everything into her roles. Good to see Dominic West as well. If you want to lose yourself for a couple of hours, I highly recommend it.

Entertaining
25 August 2018
A movie you can lose yourself in. Not to be taken seriously. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is excellent as always, although he seems to be doing a Tommy Lee Jones impersonation. And the CGI man should get a medal. We enjoyed it.
