Pathology (2008)
6/10
Play the game
12 April 2008
I thought Pathology was a good solid movie. Michael Weston gave a great performance, he added some great dark comedy to it. Milo was kinda disappointing. Some scenes he did a good job, but other scenes it felt like he was wooden. There is a scene near the end where he gives a great performance and I wish that performance was constant throughout the movie.

There were some good twists and turns but kinda predicable for me. Kinda wished they dived into the game they were playing more. Pathology had some great gore in it and the game they played was fun for most part.

The Simpsons finally arrive!
24 July 2007
The Simpsons have been around ever since I could remember. We all grew up with Homer, Bart, Lisa Marge and Maggie. It was only a matter of time before these iconic characters would jump to the big screen. A lot of Simpson fans have waited for this moment. I was a huge Simpsons fan when I was younger but as I grew up the seasons decreased in entertainment in my opinion. Because the show for me didn't have that same appeal as it used to, I didn't think much when I heard the movie was coming. I finally started to hear good news like the old writers were coming back. The trailers that were released made me chuckle and I began to get excited. So what did I think of The Simpsons Movie? It was a solid good movie.

The movie itself was kinda refreshing animation wise as all we get now are 3D animations. The Simpsons stuck with 2D and thats where this movie shines. It was so good to see a 2D animation back on the screen. The movie didn't feel long and boring. It was an hour and twenty seven minutes long I believe. Not once during the movie did I check the time or got bored. The Simpsons did what it used to do for me and thats ENTERTAIN!!!! Homer is the highlight of this movie and that's never a bad thing. Homer always makes you laugh especially with his new pig which was my favorite part of the movie. A lot of secondary characters don't get even a line in but that's OK we know who all these characters are, we don't need them on screen for the movie.

One thing this movie does is, it highlight's a few emotional scenes which worked in some parts but didn't in some. When an emotional scene came up you felt for the characters because you know them, but the end result of the emotional impact falls dead in it's tracks.

One thing did strike me watching the movie, this whole movie does not add anything new to The Simpson franchise. It doesn't necessarily do anything new for The Simpsons but one thing that stuck in my head on the way out, they should stop making Simpson season's on TV and release a movie once every two years. The movie was far more entertaining then any of the new episodes could ever be.

Overall The Simpsons movie was funny, entertaining and I left with a smile on my face. It's downfall was the stupid end results of the emotional scenes which I kinda felt like they've done already on the show. The Simpsons is worth checking out, it's a solid good movie. I'd give this one a GO!

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
8/10
Great film but has it's flaws.
4 May 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I got to see Spider-Man 3 today. Now first off I loved Spider-Man 1+2 but did I love Spider-Man 3? Yes! Here are my thoughts: Good points.

Everything with Harry and Peter was outstanding. These two had great chemistry and had amazing fight scenes.

Sandman was surprise and was great character. The Sandman transformation was mind blowing he had an interesting story thats pulls you into the film.

Bruce Campbell scene was hilarious. This has to be the best Campbell appearance in the Spider-Man series yet! Campbell is God! Topher Grace was good in the role! Bad points Venom..........Holy crap he was a joke! What was the point? We see like 10 Min's of Venom and 3/4 of is with Venom's face exposed. There is no ''WE ARE VENON''. Raimi didn't do anything to change or enhance Topher's voice when he was Venom. Oh and Venoms death was lame! Why would Eddie want to kill Peter anyway? He really didn't do anything bad to Eddie for him to be blood trusty murderer! Gwen Stacy, no real point of her.

In the middle of the movie it slows down bringing in issues from last two movies. We saw the last two movies, let the story move forward already.

Peter dancing............................I want a darker ego driven Peter! Harry's butler. You think the Butler would have told Harry about his own dad being killed by his own glider in the first place.

SM3 is worth seeing. It is my fav movie of 2007 so far. The bad sides don't overshadow the good ones for me!

A fun flick!
16 December 2006
I got to see a showing of Night at the Museum last night. I was impressed by the trailers and I got really pumped when I saw people like Stiller, Wilson, Robins, Rudd and more famous comedian actors like Gervais in it.

The movie starts out slow but picks up once Stiller's character enters the museum. Once he enters the chaos begins.

The movie has it's up's and downs. Sometimes it feels like it was trying too hard to be funny. Don't get me wrong this movie is filled with laughs such as the Stiller and the monkey slapping each others face which made me laugh my ass off. Night at the Museum felt like a pattern to me, no funny parts to little giggles and then the movie would make you laugh so hard.

All the famous faces really brought charm to the movie and I don't think it would have work well with anyone else.

Night at the Museum is a fun movie worth seeing but not a movie you will be looking back on in 10 years time.

Casino Royale (2006)
7/10
The name is Daniel....Daniel Craig...bitch!
15 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This is the very first Bond I've ever seen in my life. Weird right? So what made me want to start watching now? I saw the Casino Royale trailer and it caught my interest. Craig looked like a Bond who could kick major ass, the action looked good and the women looked good. What more could a guy ask for in a movie? Anyway tonight I got to see Casino Royale. And let me say I was very impressed. The action in some scenes was outstanding. Espcailly within the first 40mins. The feeling I got from this movie was Bond was being approached at a more realistic and gritter way. There were no super gadgets just hard hitting blows. Craig plays the character really cold. He is unstable and is driven by ego. As the movie progressed he became more and more wiser. You can tell in some scenes Bond is paining on the inside. For the people who dislikes Craig as Bond must be crazy!!! Craig does an amazing job and shows all kinds sides to Bond. We see the egotistical, cold side, the funny witty side and Bonds deserve to lead a normal life.

There's not too much to complain about. I felt the movie could have been way shorter, sometimes it felt some scenes were dragging out such as Vesper and Bonds romantic scenes. The last 20mins I was left a bit confused, I also felt the ending fell flat for me. A lot of questions are unanswered for now.

Overall and great introduction for me into the Bond franchise. I hope Craig keeps playing Bond and we see a great follow up to Casino Royale. I give Casino Royale 7/10

Borat (2006)
8/10
Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
22 October 2006
I got to see an advance screening of Borat last night. Let me say this right off, Borat is hilarious. I laughed from start to end. The interviews were outrageous as hell. I don't want to give anything away because I want everyone to be shocked at the things Cohan does in this movie. Cohan does a suburb job and earns my respect for how far he is willing to go to entertain.

There were one or two things that were a let down. I wanted more interviews and the movie felt a bit short, but that doesn't spoil anything.

Overall I give Borat 8/10. One of the best movies this year.

Snakes On The Brain
21 August 2006
Snakes on A Plane stars Sam. L Jackson. When a man by the name of Sean witnesses a murder he must get on a plane under protective custody to testify against Eddie Kim. Kim wants Sean dead so he unleashes over 50,000 snakes on a plane.

Snakes on a plane is a fun movie. Parts are goring and funny. There are some great B-movie actors in this such as Keenan Thompson(Keenen and Kel). Thompson really made some great moments in this movie along side Jackson. Best line in the movie ''I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane'', classic.

This movie did have it's bad points. I expected a lot more cheesiness in this movie. There was a kick boxer on the plane who I expect to give a spinning back kick to a snake. I wanted Jackson to punch a snake in the face. Snakes On A Plane was so hyped to be over the top. But I felt cheated by the marketing aspect of it.

Over all I enjoyed Snakes On A plane. I give it 7/10

WOW!!! What a disappointment!!
1 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Last night I saw Pirates of The Caribbean 2. First off this movie was in no way better then the first. It has no charm like the first. Some plots in this film are so god damn confusing. Everyone comes off as assholes. There's on part in this movie were Sparrow saves everyone from some sea monster and what does Elizabeth do to repay a man who just saved her life more then once I might add. She chains him up to be killed so she can save everyone Else's asses. Everyone uses an excuse saying this film is only a lead up to the 3rd. Well my friends thats BULLSHIT. As a filmmaker you respect your viewers who are taking their own time out of their lives to sit down and watch what you put on screen. I don't want to watch POTC 2 and a half. I went to see a film that could hold itself up, and it failed to to do that.

I'll give the film credit were it is due. Davy Jones looked amazing. The CGI was great, but all in all this movie sucked. 4/10

''Remember, remember the 5th of November''
19 March 2006
V For Vendetta is set in the future, maybe about 40 years from now and Britain is a fascist state run by Hitler type figure named Adam Sutler(John Hurt). A masked vigilante known only as "V"(Hugo Weaving) fights against the British government, as the government use's fear to control the people of Britain. ''V'' saves a young woman by the name of Evey(Natalie Portman). ''V'' takes Evey into his home and explains why he wants to brings down the government. Slowly Evey begins to embrace ''V's'' idea's and becomes ''V's'' ally, but like most people in Britain she is stopped by fear. ''V'' plans on bringing the government down and restoring peoples freedom on the 5th of November.

Natalie does a fantastic job, as well as Hugo providing the charismatic ''V'' voice. The first half of this movie is kinda slow and has a lot of dialogue, but the second half heats up a lot giving us something to remember. V For Vendetta is a must see movie. It gave me goosebumps as some parts which a movie can rarely do. I give V For Vendetta 8/10.

Date Movie (2006)
Funny but not smart!!!
4 March 2006
Date movie stars Alyson Hannigan( Juilia Jones) as a fat desperate woman looking for love. She finds help from Lil Hitch(Tony Cox) who helps her find the man of her dreams, Grant Fonckyerdoder (Adam Campbell). After they fall in love they decide to get married but Julia's father Frank Jones (Eddie Griffin) tries to stop her daughter from getting married along with Grant's ex-fiancée Andy (Sophie Monk). This movie spoofs every love movie and other movies such as Revenge of the Sith, King Kong and Kill Bill. This movie has its ups and downs. The spoof's are quite funny, but the movie seems to count to much on the spoof's. A lot of spoofs are predictable, but most times funny. I loved the Mr and Mrs spoof which was hilarious, but spoofing ''What Woman Want'' was quite pointless because she can read minds for like 4 minutes but suddenly with no explanation she doesn't hear peoples thoughts anymore???? OK so its mean't be slapstick and goofy but still. This is worth seeing but not the best prodigy ever!!! I give this movie a 6/10. Better then expected!!!
4 March 2006
*spoilers ahead* Carter Duryea (Topher Grace) is a 26 year old old married man who becomes the boss of sales executive Dan Foreman (Dennis Quaid). Carter is on top of the world and has accomplished so much at a young age. Things start to go bad for Carter as his wife leaves him and he begins to fall in ''love'' with Dan Foreman's daughter(Scarlett Johansson) making the already rocky relationship with Dan even worse.

Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace have an amazing chemistry in this movie and work well with each other. But Topher's character and Scarlett's character just don't seem to click. Alex and Carter seem confused with each other. And in the end their relationship seems meaningless.

Besides that the film works well and delivers on comedy. I give In Good Company 5/10.

Pitch Black (2000)
8/10
Surprisingly good movie ;)
10 September 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Pitch Black is a surprisingly good movie. I was not a fan of Vin diesel before I saw Pitch black, but after seeing Pitch Black my respect for Vin Diesel has gone up. He did a great job playing Riddick a man wanted for many murders. His character is cold and makes many decisions that surprised me, like near the end Riddick was going to get on the ship and save his own ass leaving everyone behind to die. I like this movie and how it deals with human instinct. This movie is low budget but this movie goes to show you don't need amazing special effects and lots of money to make a good movie, I think all the characters made this movie. I give this movie 8 out of 10 ;)
