It is the lamest movie of all time! The writer must have been on cocaine and too many scenes are just laughable. The music copies too closely to Halloween, and I can't believe we were sucked in by Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%!?! We will never trust it again as a good source of judgement. Wow!!! It's so slow and boring as hell, who the hell thinks this is a quality flick??? Being so close to Halloween, we've been searching out psychological thrillers, but this ain't it! Classics like The Shining, Halloween's series, Amityville Horror, etc. Blow it clearly out of the water!! Look at other reviews if you don't believe me...

She is the most pathetic excuse for an actress. Annoying, nosey, overbearing, over acting, you name it! No common sense and she's the mayor?!?!? Wow!!!!! The rest of the cast seems right on. Also the dreary music and words don't help the production at all. Good music used when showing vistas of the so called Virgin River. Whoever thought a xylophone would make a scene more dramatic was drunk on his a$$. The first three seasons were great, and the 4th season consisting of only two episodes were pathetic at best. Music makes or breaks any production as everyone knows. Whoever was in charge of the music should have been fired before they started...

It seems that even with various murders in this movie, it's not enough for many who thirst for total blood and guts movies, with everything blowing up. This was done with fabulous writing, directing, acting and storyline. The musical score and cinematography second to none! Don't for a second believe any naysayers. It's a classic indeed!

No wonder it came out on disc already! After seeing 3 of 4 people already having rated it a one star, I shouldn't have rented it, but didn't see their reviews until getting home with it. The music is good, but the cinematography is awful, and this is a blue ray version we rented! Terrible script and it looks like they did everything just to make the money to maximize profits.

Anyone who gives this a low rating most likely only entertained by slasher movies. Incredible story line, cinematography, acting, scene backgrounds, music! A movie or book is meant to take you on an unfamiliar journey and this certainly does. We can't wait until the next movie is out!! Inspirational during these twisted times when we do need to escape reality, but at the same time the incredible details of everything makes you feel you're right there!

Sadly, if something isn't blowing up or someone isn't sawing someone's limb off, too many people and kids have become numb to violence and need a more violent fix that never gets satisfied. This is a wonderful glimpse into the hard life of being an immigrant from a foreign land, just like today, but even harder. Great casting supported by wonderful cinematography, and yes...story line. Like many of our ancestors, yet we forget wanting to shut the door behind us and not accept and celebrate this wonderful world of variety. Please give it a chance and be patient and not expect a James Bond action thriller. See it with open eyes and context it was meant to be viewed in.

On the same level as many top PBS productions, I cannot believe any low reviews! What, not enough blood and guts from explosions and gunfire?!? SMH LOVED IT!!!!!
