Spectre (2015)
Colourful Bond Experience
What do we expect from Bond - immature bond girls, cheating married women, flying Aston Martins and classy endings in the Swiss Alps.
The latest installment has much to offer the average Bond fan but doesn't really bring anything new to the franchise. Unlike the main character it is not fresh and risk taking (and heartbreaking). If you gather 5 Oscar worthy actors (Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Benjamin Shaw and Monica Bellucci) and make pizza with them this is not fine dining! Yes, you are happy and well fed but simply the taste's missing.
In a nutshell:
- Monica Bellucci should have played when Roger Moore was James Bond
- The main actress (forgot her name) - I don't remember really anything about her except she was blonde
- Waltz - simply pathetic - feels like a construction worker dropped out from Classics at Oxford
- Daniel Craig - usual class - such a fantastic actor
- Ralph Fiennes - scared throughout the whole movie. For a Head of the British CIA he has a very tiny comfort zone and lets smaller people tell him what to do
The movie has no plot (not one that I could follow anyway). There is plenty of action and billion dollar car prototypes destruction. The movie is well put together and has a classy general feel - maybe because the premiere was in Royal Albert Hall.
... And at last the song - the most unimaginative and lacklustre performance. They should have gotten some talented black singer to sing about gold and cold hearts.
Nevertheless the next Bond Director should throw himself bare in the frozen water of whatever lake they film at and experiment a little bit more (enough with these Tom Ford suits and Crockett & Jones boots). The shoes btw are really not comfy and too expensive.
Street Kings (2008)
Reeves excellent once more...
Well where to begin, excellent street atmosphere, wonderful actors, well-written plot, an old story with completely modern vantage point. We have this wild super cool and a little depressed white Supercop Keanu reeves with dead wife and legendary history of mercy-less killer. We see Whitakker as a corrupt big shot police chief with enormous power and just as a last spice- the good cop lieutenant Briggs- Dr House as we know Hugh Laurie.
Some good action, every scene has its own meaning- really rare thing in all blockbuster productions, good final, where as always The good gets all the applause, but what will not leave you some days after watching it is the terrible smell of the Hood, this bad-ass look and not at last a bigger look over the corrupcy and its place in the administration.
Watch it over and over again, good time and don't forget your lightsword cuz you're gonna need it :)
Sex and Breakfast (2005)
Well Let's get clear-this is a good movie
It's just far more complicated than it appears. It tells a story about two couples , who due to longterm relationships decide to try something new. They go to this therapy, where couples change their partners- polygamia or something. In the first couple the women is sorry for the term but whore in my words. she just wanted wild sex, but her boyfriend was conservative but they love each other and everything seems to be fine. The second couple presents a woman , who wants to try out with other women and pure alpha man. These two couples change the partners. Fot the man in the second couple and the woman in the first it means nothing, cuz they were closer like characters. But this was very bad for the other two. They felt unsatisfied not sexually but mentally. They were not ready for such thing. The first couple breaks off after and second one seems to remain together but he film is with open final. I 'm hoping as an expert in the field to be in your help.
Death Sentence (2007)
Tired of revenge movies...not this one
I rarely write about any movie and I watch movies all the time. But this one is different. Don't go in there with any thoughts, get a good audio and this one will blow you out indeed. I am a kind of writer, so about the plot it could have been better, but nowadays if you make a sophisticated plot, it won't be a big success most of the people are not going to understand it. So plot is 6 but Kevin Backon, this devil atmosphere, the edge....For acting I give it 10. So just relax, let your feelings go out, cuz we see everyday when they ask us how are you feeling fine, but we are not and as a matter of fact we need such movies to let our internal anger free. So guess don't get sucked in the plot just enjoy this work because it is one of the highest levels. Enjoy...hahahha
Revolver (2005)
Hard to understand
This movie went too far.Yeah, that is right. From the middle it goes mindless. In fact maybe u just don t like such movies or think that you are too clever to not understand the movie. Here is what really happened. Jack is a former prisoner who goes mad after 7 years in jail.In fact if you have seen fight club here the idea is the same. That is some kind of schizophrenia or something. Then he finds other part of himself ,which he doesn t know that exists in himself. In the end of the movie he is other person. He has left all behind to find the rules of the ultimate game-" Always thinking bigger, always thinking quicker".In fact with great cast and playng (exceptionally from Andre Benjamin) the film is mindblowing, but I have seen this movie around 10 times to understand it at all. Guy Ritchie simply made it not enough clear what really happens. I recommend this movie for people under 25 because for adults it is completely senseless.
