The Collector (2009)
The more you think?
I almost fell asleep during the first 20 minutes but, really enjoyed the following, all the way to the end which was just confusing.
I missed the Exterminator reveal, because it wasn't deserved and wasn't a "revalation" like the movie thinks it is.
Why set up these traps when you have already caught the family, easily it would seem.
Man in a box?
Little survived the house?
Pros:
Great traps
Fun gore
The desperation of the family was cathartic.
The "protagonist" got his comeuppance too.
Cons:
Man in a box?
Contrived deaths
Traps didn't make sense
Was there another killer?
Movie was still afraid of it's potential.
Poor filmography.
Filmed with an artificial film grain
Day light scenes look awful, like something from 1990.
Redcon-1 (2018)
5+ Endings?
This film is 45 minutes too long and has at least 5 endings.
You think it's done, only to check the run time and see less than ½ the films is left to play out.
Some really good gore scenes and scenes you will not see in a mainstream Zombie Survival film.
Children shot in self defence is a neat touch.
But, zombies evolving his hard to get along with.
The swerve from the Colonel is a good one.
There are scenes in here from other media such as Video Games like Wolfenstein or Homefront, Resident Evil 4 and others.
One of the "endings" is almost a copy The Walking Dead scene with Clementine and Lee.
It's not a good movie but I think you can enjoy it.
War of the Worlds (2019)
The wall might be better
I was halfway through season 2 when I went into my hallway and looked at my white wall and pondered, "Is this better than what I was just watching?"
Answer: Yes.
The wall in my hallway is better than this show.
This show is the Woke of the Worlds.
It's basically The Walking Dead without Zombies and without Aliens.
It's not any relation to The War of the Worlds.
There's no:
Tripods
Red weed
Farming of people to teraform earth.
No ooooolllaaaaaaaas!
No Thunderchild
No Ogylve
No artillerymen
No digging underground
No Nathaniel No! No Nathaniel!
No flu
There is:
Alien ships landing in a capsule.
The stuff in the French Alps is just awful and nearly all the actors, especially the French one's suck.
Vikings: The Plan (2017)
Great White Shark
Finehair wears a crown with teeth on four sides.
I thought, "those are sharks teeth. But they cannot be. They're probably wolves or bears then".
When Fine hair is speaking with Astrid after she comes to the dock, you can clearly see a Great White Shark being gutted on a table. In the back ground hanging up, is also a Great White Shark's jaw...
In Norway...
Little Baby Bum (2011)
I feel more smarter for having seen this show!
Before, I was a little dim.
I could only do: A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,T,U,V,Y.
Now, I am ready to go out into the world and meet Old McDonald at his Farm with his South London accent. I will travel over London Bridge as it is falling down and I will get there on the bus with wheels that go round and round and doors that go open and shut, open and shut.
Ronny Chieng: Asian Comedian Destroys America (2019)
Beats a Dead Horse.
He spends 20 minutes on a subject and beats that subject like beating a dead horse.
I went in thinking this maybe decent. But it wasn't.
An opening joke, is about how Netflix is losing subscribers by the second, so he has to get started fast before the user quits out.
I can see why we quit out.
Boring.
Minions (2015)
Their origins don't fit with the main movies.
The Minions motivations are shown to us early on and why they devote themselves to Gru.
However, this fly's in the face of Dispicable Me 2 and 3.
The movie is full of Hollywood's who's whos and I don't know why. It's like the time George Clooney played a chicken in South Park.
The film falls apart after the hour mark.
It can be enjoyable. But, you need to shut your head of completely.
Despicable Me 2 (2013)
A sequel nearly as good.
This is good enough to stand alone.
It builds the world of the main characters well and is a good addition to the 1st film.
My 10month old son sits and watches it all the way through and I have to restart it again for him.
Breaking Bad (2008)
Chemistry is the study of change.
He is the Danger and he is knocking...
Every episode matters.
The last season is some of the best T.V. ever made and will be ever made.
After you watch this, watch The Evolution of Walter White on YouTube.
Shutter Island (2010)
You can only watch it once
This maybe the greatest movie that has 0 re-watch-ability.
The story arc is awesome.
The cinematography is great.
And the acting is fantastic.
DiCaprio is DiCaprio. A great actor who plays himself brilliantly.
Once you have watched til the end, you can not watch it again.
Don't buy this movie if you can watch it as a rent.
