Gojira -1.0 (2023)
This should be Japan's Academy Award Contender
This should be Japan's Academy Award Contender This is probably the best Godzilla movie I've seen and it even rivals the original 1954 Godzilla as the best movie in the franchise, the story is second to none and the acting is just superb and majority of fans will be pleased to know that this movie mostly takes place in 1947 so it is going back to its WW2, Hiroshima and Nagasaki storyline but that is about all I can say without spoiling anything
Personally its rivalling as my favourite Godzilla Film of all time, My favourite film of 2023 and my favourite Japanese film of all time and if Japan would submit any movie to win best international film at the Academy Awards next March it would have to be this.
I'm sorry but this movie is nothing less then sensational it's sad, it has agonisingly painful moments, it will make you cry and the most important thing that I don't think many Godzilla films have been able to do correctly is that you want the protagonist survive.
So ladies and Gentlemen that's it for me highly Recommended and if your thinking watching this film be warned that it is in Japanese with English Subtitles so the ultimate Decision is yours weather you want to see it but if you want to see a good foreign film now make it Godzilla Minus One.
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Good Story, Important to Cinema, Just not fun to watch
When going into cannibal holocaust I really didn't think much of it but i was warned that it wasn't a fun movie to watch like all the others that I've watched in the past so I passed as exploitation Horror because that's all I thought it was but I saw it and I will never watch it again I should've taken those warnings into consideration but i didn't
It was exploitation but it was very graphic but I liked the story I thought it was really well made and even though Robert Kerman is porn actor at the time he gave me a sense of calmness when he was in the frame of the movie with all this madness going on in the movie
I will acknowledge that this film is indeed the first of the found footage genre and kicked off all sorts of great movies to come (aka The Blair Witch Project)
But the one thing that is the only reason I have to give it a 3 out of 10 is the Animal Cruelty in the film it just went way too far with the gore even to the point where the director was charged with murder because everyone thought it was a snuff film on personal experience as i watched these scenes I had to take over 10 breaks from the film to regather myself to watch it again and vomited at least twice even still when I talk about it to others I have to keep myself from gagging because my brain pictures these sequences
Even though I would like to give it higher I just can't with the Animal Cruelty but I will give it points for story and inventive camera techniques
3 out of 10 Stars

The Crow (1994)
The Crow is just Awesome
The Crow was directed by Alex Proyas and Stars Branden Lee in his breakthrough role and sadly his final role we all know what happened to Branden on the set of The Crow but I'm not going to touch on that because this is not a homicide overview.
The Crow doesn't just hang on the the amazing performance by Lee but it's a visual Masterpiece and the story is really well written and there are very memorable characters like Officer Albrecht played by Ernie Hudson Who is a really good guardian after Eric Dravens (Lee) tragic backstory before he became The Vigilante to who Eric (Lee) was looking after Sarah played by Rochelle Davis and I love to say this, Davis's portrayal as Sarah is really well done she is very believable as a kid who sees what's going on around her and I would love to go deep into that but that dives into spoilers
Another thing I want to touch up on is the Score by Graeme Revell who doe's an excellent job of scoring this film, the score in the film suits the creepy and noir-ish atmosphere of the film really well and overall is an awesome score to even to go off and listen to on its own.
Overall I thoroughly really enjoyed the crow I thought its a very fun and awesome action film with all the stuff you can think of

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Classic, Just Classic
I really don't know what to say this is a classic movie in every sense of the imagination it is such a classic that everyone knows what the movie is about even before they see the movie it's one of those types of movies
and to many others like myself only know snow white because of this movie it's that imprinted in everyone's heads and i'll admit it i've never read the book so i frankly don't have any opinion if the movie is close to the book or not
But all i can say is that this is mandatory viewing for everyone it's got suspense, action and some freaky imagery for the time and even for a kids movie still rated a G
it's highly recommended

Alice in Wonderland (1951)
"Alice In Wonderland, How Do You Get To Wonderland?"
Walt Disney's 1951 Adaptation of Lewis Carrol's Main Novel the 1865 book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a very faithful adaptation of the book and as a movie itself it's fantastic
it's just a very colourful movie and the amount of colours in the film is something to be seen but the movie creates unforgettable images as well and the amount of unforgettable characters is unbelievable Like the Queen of Hearts, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, The cheshire cat and of course Alice
Kathryn Beaumont brings a memorable voice to go along with Alice in fact she's really the only voice i think of when i think of Alice and she really brings a believable performance to Alice and she acts like a little girl would act in situations where the adventure just becomes overwhelming
anyway i don't want to talk too much longer otherwise i'll end up spoiling the movie
with that said
Alice In Wonderland (1951) Get 10/10
If you are learning about Walt Disney's work then this is almost Mandatory viewing
but for the average person Just looking through Disney's Back Catalogue it's Still Very Highly Recommended

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
A twisted classic from beginning to end
Who would of thought that two holidays that so polar opposite from each other could work so well, this movie was so well directed by Henry Selick (No not Tim Burton) I swear it's so good you can sort of consider it a part of the Disney Renaissance era (even though theatrically it was distributed by Touchstone Pictures) (But Touchstone was owned by Disney so I guess you could) the Characters in Halloween town are designed so weirdly and the verity of Characters and some of the characters I always wonder how they got there like the Devil Halloween town must be pretty hard core if the devil is just a dude walking around there
Jack Skellington (Played by Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman) is a Character that sticks with me and everyone a character that is confused and obsessed with the aspect of finding something new and making it his own
And if we are talking about Jack we can't miss talking about Sally (Played by Catherine O' Hera) this character is the very relatable shy person who is romantically into the protagonist but doesn't have enough courage to say it, but it's interesting that the lengths that sally goes just to help Jack do the right thing
The background design is so twisted it almost has a personality of it's own it stands out making sure when your focusing on the characters, it makes sure your focusing on the environment around the characters as well
Overall The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas or Halloween Classic whatever you classify it and everyone should watch it, it is a really fun movie with lots of fun twists and turns that the whole family can enjoy.
Barbarian (2022)
A Movie I have been waiting for modern Hollywood to make
Barbarian is a film I had low expectations for, I thought this was going to be one of those sub par horror movies like some of the movies that come out from Blumhouse for example, not saying all blumhouse movies are bad but it has that distinctive style that everyone feels when they watch a modern horror movie but this one is totally different and I love it for that
I will start off by saying for a indie film that only had a 4 million dollar budget the special effects look amazing and the set design was excellent
The cinematography for this film I actually don't know how do describe it, it's like a found footage film but it's shot like a Hollywood film because of the dolly shots that they used
Barbarian is a film I will not spoil because this film wants you to know nothing about it like not one little tiny detail about it so I won't say anything all I will say is go and see it but I will describe it in three words Sick, Twisted and Disturbing.
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
One of the if not the greatest Horror Sequel of all time
After the success of Night of the Living Dead in 1968 you would've thought that sequel would be in demand straight away but nope George A. Romero didn't go the Money route with this one he waited until 1978 to release the sequel and didn't come out here in Australia until 1980
and man was it worth the wait
This movie to me has it all it has Terrifying moments, Gorey Moments, Funny Moments and Action Moments.
I really love the interaction between the 4 main characters Peter played by Ken Foree, Roger played by Scott Reiniger, Stephen (or Flyboy) Played by David Emge and Francine Played by Gaylen Ross
All of the characters share a really good connection with each other and you root for them for the entire movie which was a new concept for the time since the last movie tried to make them work together but they end up fighting each other.
The gore has been turned up in this film and it doesn't make you miss it, there is no blink and you'll miss it moment in this film it wants to make you see every bit of detail of the film.
I could go on and on about this film but then i would spoil the movie you've just got to see it for yourself it is a Masterpiece and every sense of the word highly Recommended.
Gojira (1954)
A Japanese Masterpiece from Start to Finish
With the events of WW2 and Japan still recovering from the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki it's almost a miracle how this was even made with material scarce in Japan resulted in the Godzilla suit being made out of concrete and this movie shows the disaster of the bombs at first hand as Godzilla being a metaphor of the bombs from 1945 the story is immersive and Godzilla actually looks unsettling and terrifying in some shots and the shots of The Japanese crying out for help are really unsettling and the music by Akira ifukube is a masterpiece in its own each music piece perfectly let's the viewer know it's scary and unsettling Hats off to the Japanese 👏🏻🇯🇵
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Maybe the Best sequel ever made?!
This is a movie that can only be watched properly in theatres, it's truly a ride and the practical effects are amazing I like to think of this movie as a once in a decade movie it hardly has CGI in it, it's not woke (thank god), it uses mostly practical effect and that makes the Scenes with the Jets all that more compelling and cool to know that all of the stuff that was on camera really happened and the soundtrack, oh my god the soundtrack I have never felt goosebumps as much as when Harold Faltermeyer's Top Gun anthem started and then Kenny Loggins Danger Zone right after it right at the start of the movie this movie deserves all the praise it gets Highly Recommended P. S. Don't be a loser and wait for this to come on streaming SEE IT NOW spend the money and see it.
Schindler's List (1993)
My Favourite Film Ever and one of the best movies ever made!
Schindler's List really Surprised, Shocked and made me feel feelings I have never experienced before from a movie. It moved me and I felt a bit upset at myself for not knowing who Oskar Schindler was before this Movie Liam Neeson plays Schindler and he is Just Excellent, probably his best performance and the same as Ben Kingsley just amazing as Itzhak Stern and the actors who played the Schindler Jews are more then just background characters they have there own personalities because they are all based off of real people.
I was shocked to realise that the runtime was a total of 3 hours 15 minutes and 40 seconds because I didn't feel it at all that's how you know a movie is working on you if the runtime just went by your head like a breeze in the wind.
I just can't Praise this film enough and I'm really glad this film is being shown to kids in high school and Steven Spielberg has done a fantastic job as director for him to hold his emotions because he reportedly was having an bad time emotionally and even the composer John Williams broke down emotionally as well and also John Williams's Score just fantastic as always.
This has now become my favourite film Ever Made and is Very highly recommended to watch but I will warn you this is not a movie that you can have friends over and have a great time this is a film that needs to be taken seriously but well worth the watch.
Team America: World Police (2004)
This film is a Cult Classic
For a Movie that was Released in 2004 and it's about Terrorism Especially only 3 years after September 11th 2001, Tray Parker and Matt Stone had some real balls but boy did it pay off it is ridiculously funny and incredibly entertaining and i loved that they used puppets instead of animation it's defiantly something new and making the puppets fight makes it 10x funnier.
If this was made today with all of the week woke people of today this movie wouldn't survive but because it was made almost 20 years ago it just seems right to make those sorts of jokes and is brilliant movie, if you love South Park you are defiantly going to love this
Highly recommended.
Frankenweenie (2012)
WOW this is pretty awesome
Ok the first thing I liked about Frankenweenie is it's fall back to old monster movies of the 30s and 40s and it was in black and white this was an inclusion that was made in Frankenweenie (1984) which this is a remake to and I am so happy they kept it black and white, it makes it have it's own image Tim Burtons style is all over this movie and I love it it maybe a bit scary for little kids but I believe others will really enjoy it highly recommended - REVIEW MADE IN DECEMBER 2012.
Monster House (2006)
Monster House is Great
Monster House is a movie that I watched when it first came out and I thought it wasn't going to hold up well but I'm presently surprised Monster House has held up very well the Characters were all very likeable, the story is in gaging and is great for kids to witness a somewhat scary movie that's another thing I forgot to mention the first time I watched it I was terrified but that is because I was a little kid back then but definitely worth a watch recommended.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
It's a really good film..........but it's a bit overrated
Ok i know this review is late
I saw this movie on December 24th 2021 yeah that's right Christmas Eve I was hearing everyone over the sun praising this movie and acting like it was the second coming of christ for some reason, so my expectation were set high and I saw it and walked out of the theatre and i was like "it was great" not like everybody else saying it was the best superhero film or the best marvel movie ever made but it was not the movies fault it was more marvel and the internet leakers who i hate with a passion that ruined it for me
i know what your thinking
"ok i get the leakers but why marvel?"
well person who didn't really ask the question
it's Because of the amount of superhero movies marvel pumps out a year and it's exhausting for me i just want a years break with no superhero movies at all
but anyway sidetracked
This movie is without a doubt the best spiderman movie i liked the inclusion of the villains from past movie and spidermans from past movies i thought it was a great call back and my nostalgia was tingling so it's a fantastic film and deserves every recognition it's got but as i was saying i probably would've liked it more if the internet didn't ruin it for me.
The Batman (2022)
Wow this was unexpectedly awesome
To be honest my standard were very low because of all of the superhero movies that have come out of dc ass in recent years but this one I'm really surprised, The Batman is very entertaining there is never a slow moment whenever it starts to dip down to almost being slow picks right back up again I was always moving in my seat whenever the Acton happen Robert Pattinson does a really fantastic job at nailing Batman and also making his own Bruce Wayne the best way I can describe it is if you grab Batman Arkham City, Batman Arkham Origins and Batman Arkham Knight and you smash them together you will get this movie Highly recommended Definitely worth the watch.
Halloween Kills (2021)
I liked it a lot..... But
I'm not lying here by saying I expected less but the title was very literal he kills a lot of people and fantastically Gory ways, The thing I wanted to see the most was Micheal Myers being very intimidating again and I'm happy to say this movie delivers in that department he really made feel like Myers was an unstoppable force who has no mercy whatsoever but the movie lacks in some department that bring it down for me like the people of Haddonfield don't get me wrong I like the fact that this movie brings Haddonfield into the movie with character I like that but the decisions they make are so stupid especially when they think that this small dude from the mental institution is Micheal and chases him around the hospital to the point where the poor guy had to commit suicide was incredibly stupid and the chant "Evil Dies Tonight" gets bashed into your brain so you won't forget it and more stuff like that hurt the film tremendously but I will give it 6/10 because this is a bridge film for the next film coming next year it will probably look better when all three are in the collection only time will tell.
Der Fuehrer's Face (1942)
Great example of Offensive stuff and flipping it on it's head
Nowadays this would have never been made because of cancel culture and all of that stuff but to think that it basically looks at funny side of the Nazis and win the academy award for best animated feature is amazing and as it should it is hilarious especially the parts whenever Donald sees a picture of Adolf Hitler he has to Hail to it extremely funny and worth a watch.
Playing Beatie Bow (1986)
A movie that is worth a watch
This movie is not the best Australian film of all time but It's up there for sure this film is based off of the book of the same name highly recommend watching the film and the book
The Exorcist (1973)
This Is Definitely Scariest Film Of All Time
The Exorcist May look a little bit dated for some people but most people including myself say this looked and still looks fantastic the effects hold up to this very day and this came out in 1973 imagine how this was back then and i laugh at the movies nowadays saying this is a new age in film but in my eyes this still looks better then the films that we have today and again this was 1973 and now it's 2020 and this film still looks fantastic and the fact that this is based on a true story makes it even scarier that this can happen to people when you think about that you will find it hard to sleep and i can say as a catholic person when i saw this movie for the first time i said "no issues it's not that scary" but when i read up on this movie the next day i got scared and there are real acts of possession out there so when i was going to sleep that night i was afraid about the devil so what did i do i started to pray and eventually fell asleep this made a lasting impression for me and i bet for everyone i highly recommend this film please if you are watching this for the first time don't spoil the scenes for yourself in advance i recommend to watch it in full all together and you will get what i mean and you will remember it i promise you
10/10 stars from me!
Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
A Movie For All Ages
This Film honestly stunned me how good it was Ben Schwartz is Funny as Sonic Jim Carrey Funny as Always and James Marsden a good character for sonic to be with I believe it is going to make families happy and most importantly sonic fans happy the redesign was really nice and Crisp and it captures the Sonic we all know and love highly recommended
