Bulletproof 2 (2020)
How is this real??
This is possibly one of the funniest and most ludicrous things to ever come out of the film industry in my opinion.
Random Hearts (1999)
Cute but corny
Trying to be something that its not, also the last 30+ minutes of the movies really have no reason to be in the movie. However it still was a decently good movie.
Limited, not limitless.
The original movie was a thought provoking, memorable fantasy film surround by a drug that would make you super intelligent. That stays the same in this film, however it seems like the main character is really stupid even on a drug thar makes you a genius. This show doesn't even follow it's own rules, it's a total stay from the base movie and is a terrible sequel. The show itself is boring, pointless and rather obnoxious. I would recommend against ever watching this tv show.
The Green Hornet (2011)
A good comedy, not that serious
It's not a film that you are meant to take as a deep or meaningful film, however it is a really fun watch. It suffers from bad cgi, dialogue, characters, repetitive comedy, obvious plot holes, and plot points that don't make sense. However bad that may seem, it still was a very entertaining film to watch with a proper ending and good plot points. With tons of unique items that Britt can inherit from his father's wealth, it definitely is fun to watch. I would recommend it if your into stupid american sci-fi comedy that isn't deep.
An original sci-fi
It's always an amazing sensation to find a solid sci-fi film that presents new ideas and concepts. Sci-fi is based around the idea of "a mans life, but..." and this show does it really well. I enjoyed a ton of this movie, although it did have some major flaws, such as some elements, scenes, animation, and characters. Along with an un-satisfying, and rather cringe ending. However, this show was really well done, and I highly recommend you watch it.
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
A new age classic.
With a great director, a great script, and great actors in this film, it was bound to create an amazing balance of comedy and emotions. This film has some of the best camera work I have seen, the dialogue sometimes hit really amazing, with only a few memorable weak points. Almost all the main actors convinced me that they were the the characters they possessed.
A few key moments in the film hit really hard, and the symbolism and use of camerawork is so rare to find in film, no matter the time period.
The only weak character was Ed, he lacked development whilst all the characters developed or fell to their tragic flaws. However Ed, he was just annoying through the whole film.
The ending also wasn't satisfying, however it is meant to be a comedy, but it should have been more serious.
A good concept, but rushed.
I liked this show, I have yet to read the book, but the concept here was very good. However the whole concept seemed almost pointless as jake only resets once and does not fail in saving the president. Some scenes in the series seemed rather stretched out and didn't flow properly in the film, however the film itself wasn't bad nor amazing. Despite this being an original film, it somehow just felt like it was a copy of other films, and the ending was were the cliches manifested the most. It was a decent film, not amazing though.
Sometimes great, but themes and characters ruin it.
I thought this show had a ton of amazing plot and character script writing. Most of the dialogue was pretty good, with some dialogue that sounds like it was written by 40 year old trying to immigrate teenagers. A lot of the scenes and plots that were based around character development were written really well and even one of them made me cry, which is uncommon. However the tragic flaw of this series, is as simple as one of the character developments. Sam dean's late character made the show go from a 8.5/10 to a 6 or 7/10. The show favors her perspective; It depicts Sam Dean as a righteous and misunderstood character, but to any rational viewer, she is really a terrible person. Even when Josh gets mad at her, because she lied to him, and turns out to be a super sexual character the show depicts Josh as the one being in the wrong. Which clearly isn't the case to any normal person, no matter of gender. Sam also was seducing her ubereats delivery man right in front of Josh, then later she gets mad at Josh for posting a video of her being a good person which made her famous. Sam Dean a morally terrible and abusive character showed and favored. This is a huge turn off when a show depicts an abusive and morally corrupt character as a victim of an actually good character. Late sam ruined this otherwise really good show for me.
Doctor Sleep (2019)
This was not a sequel.
This movie introduces itself as a sequel to the shining, but the truth is, that this movie is not. It does carry characters and sometimes the setting, but the whole movies plot, universal laws, tone and theme does not at all match the original. Do not go into it expecting it to resemble a sequel. If you put the fact that it is basically a stand-alone movie, the movie was at best a 5/10. The actors in the movie were not amazing, especially the kid and the shining group, which really just took away from my immersion into the movie. The script writing did not help this either, a lot of the time it seemed so useless. An example would be that they often went into these long winded conversations that were set up to seem like they connect with reality, but they're only purpose is to progress the movie. The camera work was mediocre, nothing special. The cgi was okay, but often distracted me from the movie and took away from my immersion. The plot itself seemed pretty useless, there was no developed internal conflicts, the closest we got was dan's drinking problem, but even that was weak. This movie felt like nothing more than some weak supernatural horror movie but without jump-scares or suspense. It was painfully mediocre, I am
Being very generous with a 5/10, I would recommend anyone to not watch it if they can.
L'uomo senza gravità (2019)
Not bad, not all to good at the same time though
This was a good concept, with an okay script, okay characters, an okay story, and less than mediocre imagery. However, it wasn't bad, it was definitely an interesting watch, just probably not something I would recommend for or against, but not because its very abstract or something, its not. Overall, this film was okay, a 6/10, It was a interesting watch, but not much more.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
This movie is based on your ability to project empathy onto the character in the film. This movie was a movie that was a true and real psychological horror that scared me, and I have only ever been scared by a few movies in my whole life. What makes it so scary, is the fact that it is a real natural real story about some mentally-ill people who decided to project their inner-most desires on some innocent young teenagers. The leads into the deaths, and the deaths themselves, scared me the most. However, a lot of them were dragged out, and not directed amazingly, the concept of the whole thing scared me a ton. I would highly recommend this show to psychology, suspense and horror enthusiasts.
unrated, and misunderstood
This movie is only good if your high, don't expect it to be more than that. Don't watch it unless your high. If you can't get high, then don't watch it. This movie does not make sense unless your high. When high, this movie is a very cool, trippy and fun show to watch!
Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017)
A social film.
This show is a very political show about the bad political system and state of our culture. It made many fair critisms, however due to the lack of understanding from the people, they can't seem to change anything, but rather only harm themselves, even isreal. It was a very well done character, and a representation of society as a whole.
Living with Yourself (2019)
A cool concept, but not a great follow through
This show has a great concept with a set-up for an amazing series. However, this series was 8 episodes, that went through many many different story arcs in a very short amount of time. It feels as though the show lacked the time and depth that it should have received. Some episodes or parts of episodes are done very very well, however sometimes full episodes or parts of episodes seem pointless and tedious. This show is a show I wish was re-rewritten into a proper film with proper length and scripts, however, it was not that. I would recommend the first 4 episodes or so, but the last half felt like an encore that no one asked for, and no one wanted. It's purpose made no sense.
Gemini Man (2019)
A entertaining action film
This film's weakest elements were the story, however the action, acting, and imagery made up for this film so much, that all of my friends that I went with, and myself enjoyed ourselves at this film. The action was not perfect, it often did not follow physics leading to just funny scenes to laugh at, but they take you out of your immersion. However, the action was very entertaining in majority of the cases and even saved the film, probably due to its unreal physics. The acting from will smith, as almost always, was very good and helped carry the terrible scriptwriting and story that he was forced to work with. The imagery, as in camera work and locations, were amazing, in fact, I would say it was my favorite part of the album. The camera work and elements they used were genius and masterpiece worthy, they definitely helped carry this film to be the good and entertaining film it was. I would highly recommend this film to anyone looking to be entertained by a solid action movie, but be warned, the story might ruin it for you.
Jesus Is King (2019)
I get the point, but no.
I can see the concept, and I understand the potential that it had. However, the film was very boring, and seems to have to purpose. Its almost like you watch it, and nothing changed at all. You aren't thinking, entertained or anything. Only 1-3 of the songs were decent, the rest were rather annoying and repetitive. The imagery was cool, but quickly gets overplayed and very repetitive. This movie hypes you up, waiting for a climax, only for there to never be a climax. As a huge kanye film, this film was not worth watching. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Office Space (1999)
The worst comedy of all time
I have never watched a movie, and laughed so little. I found Anne's frank movie funnier than this movie. I would never refer this terrible movie to anyone, however I would highly suggest against watching this lack lustre wasteful movie.
True Awkward Comedy
This series is based around the concept of this awkward comedy, and Zach nails his acting and interviews almost every single time. The whole show is just punking a ton of people, and Zach is a genius in this department, very similar styles to actors such as Steve Carrell. He shows no limits to what he will do in order to allow for his audience to laugh. Overall, to fans of comedy, I think this is a must watch.
Driving Miss Daisy (1989)
Emotion Sparking Classic
After finally getting around to this classic, that is often referenced by boomers, I realized that it is a gem. The show has many themes that, while it doesn't go super deep into them, it presents the simple concept of said theme. Such as racism, friendship and mental-illness. This film is full of heart warming moments and also very heart aching moments. Morgan freeman and the other actors all do a very good job acting in this film, along with the script writers and director providing them with such opportunity. Overall, this film is a film I would highly recommend everyone watch as it is a classic with a lot of emotion sparking moments.
A really good sequel
Making El Camino must have been one of the hardest films ever to make, with all the hype and expectations that the tv series left in peoples mind. However, this film does not disappoint, it was a very well done movie. Is it amazing, or a must-watch for breaking bad fans? No, i wouldn't say that, however it definitely was a very good movie that I would highly recommend people watch.
Super Overhyped and Bland
As I saw the reviews and the trailer for the movie, I thought I was gonna be in for a good or at least decent movie, but I must say, this was a huge letdown. The whole movie felt like just a backstory movie, leaving everything hanging and not really elaborating on the character himself. The script was poorly written and to sum up the movie, I would say "Who cares", and how does this effect my life. Though the action was pre tight.
New Jack City (1991)
The Ghetto Scarface
New jack city was heavily influenced by the hit film, scarface. In a way, this film was almost a new York crack parody of scarface. It was made to show the real insight of the effects of crack in society. It was very well written, both emotionally and it politically. It brought up many ideas within society and showed how the current deep rooted system of society clearly isn't working.
A really well done movie
The actors were done very well, of course not everything was perfect, and it was mainly aimed towards a nostalgic remake for couples and family's. The CGI was very well done, and the story was very well told. Of course there was some flaws, but the prince and the queen were very good actors along with the genie (will smith) were very great performances.
I highly recommend watching it.
Okay concept, cheezy movie
So this movie really didn't have much to do with the Beatles, It was more of a background plot that was happening to progress the real story, which was a romance between a guy and a girl. Of course, the whole concept of everyone forgetting was cool, but most of the movie was obnoxious and filled with crappy jokes. The remade Beatles music was done very well, however I feel like the movie was preying on nostalgia and really just selling a mediocre love story. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. I would recommend against watching it.
Good Boys (2019)
A funny yet simple movie
This movie doesn't have a good story or anything, and actually I think that them trying to put in a story ruins the movie. The first half of the movie, was simply very well done comedy, but the second half had a lot more to due with relationships and growing up. It had lessons for 10-12 years old, but the audience is teenagers to young adults so it ends up just being annoying. The raw comedy of this movie is very well done however. I would recommend watching it with fellow teens or young adults.
