The anti-GOT ending we deserved
14 January 2022
After watching many season finales and series finales of some of the biggest shows on TV. I can honestly say that this one nails the ending perfectly, and oh boy does it nail it!

From a careful build up of dialogue to the climax that had me gripping the edge of my sofa; heart pounding against my chest. To an actually satisfying conclusion, tying up enough loose ends but still leaving some open for a potential future.

It's been a long time since a show has honored and treated its fanbase so well.

Foundation just went full on Star Wars
23 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We are suddenly introduced to the plot that a giant warship exists. A so called planet destroyer (sounds familiar?) which the anachreons will somehow use to their advantage. It's supposed to be a massive weapon on the level of star killer base, Death Star, or a star destroyer.

The hilarious part is, it's name "Invictus" happens to be the same name used by. Luke, Leia and Han Solo to go to Endor hiding under the eyes of the Death Star in The Return of the Jedi.

This is where the show takes a course of its own. For the non-book readers out there in the books there is no invictus, there is no mega space weapon because this was never the point of the books! The point isn't about weapons, fights, battles etc. It's about the moral decay of society and the implications of social corruption of individuals.

Might as well name the show Foundation: The Last Mathematician at this point.

From the perspective of a non-book reader: I'm confused
23 October 2021
I'll get straight to the point in saying that I've been incredibly confused by the series as to what exactly it's about. As a non-book reader I haven't had the privilege of knowing the source material so I'm taking in the show as it comes. I feel I've been left dumbfounded as to what exactly is happening. First of all we're introduced to many characters all at once and we get absolutely no time to process what's happening and the show does little to develop on these individual characters other than some simple exposition with a sex scene or two. There appears to be many different plots spread over a vast expanse, but none seem to add up very well. I admire the visuals of the show as I will say the set design and most CGI are incredibly impressive. But I feel there's a lot going on, but also nothing at all!

Thrilling conclusion.
22 September 2021
This is definitely been one of the best kdramas of this year and I commend the creators for working on such an amazing series.

Some of the scenes in this episode were gut wrenching to watch but all in all highlighted the desperation and terrifying headspace humans will go to when put in a situation the main characters of this show were placed in.

The final episode sets up a potential second season pretty well and I am really looking forward to it.

My heart is still pounding
23 December 2020
Just when you thought the first 3 episodes have already topped out in terms of quality, this episode takes it to a whole other level. Everything that all previous seasons have been building up to now becomes fully realized in a heart-pounding episode. Not a single moment did I not feel like I was at the edge of my seat. The plot twists and turns and the sudden moments of shock. And this is just the fourth episode!! We are truly witnessing the finest of space sci-fi television in history!

Someone may have overcooked the plot a little
20 April 2020
If only the plot-cake had used baking powder instead of baking soda. The movie's editing styles; use of hashtags, memes and montages, may help draw a younger audience to the movie, and especially with its call for unity. However, the plot of the story may feel a little salty to the taste for viewers, due to the constant barrages of never-ending shouting matches between family members which drenches the story with vinegar. A little complements the dish; add too much and you've ruined the taste.

Slight improvement over Apocalypse
5 June 2019
As a long term fan of the X-men series I was hoping this movie would make up for the hiccup that was x-Men apocalypse. The movie is definitely an improvement over its predecessor but it falls short on writing. I felt it had a phenomenal cast that was wasted on cheap lines and not-well thought out plot summaries. Visuals were stunning as usual and some parts had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Sophie Turner is an outstanding actress and she really deserves credit for her role. However this shouldn't take away from the fact that on the whole, the movie was ok, but not as great as what it used to be.

I'm looking forward to Marvel's take on this universe as I've always enjoyed X-Men!

A classic Toho inspired Movie
30 May 2019
If you went to watch this movie expecting deep human character development and plot lines you clearly have never seen any Godzilla movies beyond the 2014 & 1994 one. This movie pays tribute to what Toho was known for and that's the fight scenes. A lot of reviews pointing out all the flaws basically described without realising it, what a classic Godzilla is supposed to be like. As a long time fan I can safely say that nobody watches Godzilla for the humans. The cheesy plot lines only add to the whole movie and make it a fun and memorable experience. If you watched this movie expecting some Oscar worthy performances and emotional connections and plot twists, you clearly have no idea what the classic Toho movies were like?

Who goes into a Godzilla movie expecting something on the level of Schindler's List?
