Stinky Doo-Doo
23 October 2020
Even looking past the political propaganda bs, this movie was hard to watch more than half the time. All the daughter bits were boring. If he had made fun of both political sides, this movie could've been better. Imagine the reactions he would've gotten if he'd gone to a BLM rally dressed in MAGA merch. If he crashed a Biden rally, made fun of pelosi. Those would've been huge laughs. I'm not even really that bothered by the Trump jokes, but don't be so biased about it. Go for both parties equally.

Would've Been A 9/10 Had It Not Been For The Last Act.
17 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first act was very good. Reminded me a lot of the film "Drive", also starring Ryan Gosling.

The second act was also good, not as good, but still good nonetheless, although it had almost nothing to do with the first act, I suppose the writer/director was kinda going for three different stories that happened to correlate with one another.

And then we have act three. Not good at all. This movie really made me realize how stinky of an actor that kid from Chronicle is. I suppose it's not so much that he's a bad actor, and more so that he has no range. He plays the EXACT same character in everything I've seen him in. Shy, awkward kid that gets fed up with something/someone, seeks revenge. Mega stinky doo doo garbo.

If the film had kept up with the energy of the first act, definitely, without a doubt, would've been a 9/10. 9.5/10 if IMDb would let us use decimals in our ratings. 7/10.

Side Characters Stole The Show
6 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
*NO SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH*: This movie was very "ok". Nothing special. The side characters were a lot of fun to watch though. Zooey Deschanel, Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper, they were all absolutely fantastic. Hell even the nephew was fun to watch. The main story between Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker's characters was pretty boring and pretty frustrating. SPOILER T: The ending was so unrealistic. Sure, Paula fell in love with Tripp, but everything Tripp liked about Paula WAS FAKE. Everything she did with him was an act. It wasn't really her. And even still he tried ditching her by bringing her to his parents. Them getting back together at the end made zero sense. Paula is an awful person and doesn't deserve love.

A fully funded home movie
3 August 2020
It's such a fun movie to watch. You can tell everyone had a great time making this movie. It's also a brilliant idea. Playing exaggerated versions of themselves in an apocalyptic world. It has such a "home movie" feel to it, which isn't a bad thing. Obviously if you're looking for in depth story telling, this isn't the film for you, but this is one of the most fun films Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have made. 8/10

Halo 4 (2012 Video Game)
6/10
Not horrible, but nowhere near as good as any of the bungie games.
1 August 2020
Just finished it. Story aside, this game had parts that were unnecessarily difficult, and I played on Normal. And the story was good, it would've been nice if I could've been able to pay attention to it instead of having to put all of my focus on not dying. Master Chiefs armor change makes no sense, he's been frozen in the Dawn for four years and somehow he has a completely different set of armor? And they made Cortana look like an anime girl. I would've have given this game a 7/10 if it weren't for the stupidly difficult parts.

Buried (2010)

How does this have a 7? EDIT: Nevermind I get it now.
23 July 2020
This movie should've just been called "Anxiety & Frustration: The Movie". Ryan Reynolds did an outstanding job in this movie, that's the only reason I can think of as to how it received a 7/10. The story goes pretty much nowhere. The amount of stuff that you learn about Paul and everyone else in the film could've been learned within the first five minutes.

EDIT: I bumped my rating up from a 5 to a 6, cause assuming the goal of this movie was to simply give the viewer an immersive experience where they feel all the anxiety and frustration that Paul feels, they nailed it. Story wise, it's weak. If you're not looking for an in depth story, you'll be fine with this movie.

It's an OK movie
27 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Pretty average movie, nothing crazy.

I just wanna say one thing,

*SPOILER*

what happened to Lance? He was without a doubt the best character and we never see him again after he finds out about the birth control. Honestly I feel like if we found out what happened with Lance this would've been a much more satisfying movie. I feel unfulfilled.

Frustrating to Watch at Times
21 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was a good film, it was well written and very well acted. The only reason it was frustrating was because Nicole (Scarlett Johansson) was incredibly selfish and backstabbing. Agreeing to not bring lawyers into the divorce, and then going directly to an expensive animal of a lawyer, taking the kid out to California away from his home, committing a felony by hacking into her husbands email, the list goes on. It was great seeing Charlie (Adam Driver) walking along side Ray Liotta's lawyer character who was originally thought to be too aggressive but turned out to be right about Nicole. All in all, it's worth the watch just for the acting alone.
